My 2003 BUSA had 156 hp and was awesome but so uncomfortable! I’m 67 and wish I could still get the thrill out of this bike again ! It looks absolutely awesome the best looking one yet!!!!!!
I've put 500+ miles on my new Hayabusa and it is everything the old Busa wasn't, but needed to be. Only gripe is the high-ish pegs but you get used to them. Power delivery is syrupy smooth, QS and blipper are seamless when you learn to get them right, and the longer wheelbase (than most bikes) mean this is a motorway mile muncher par-excellence....
Ordered a 2023 in black a couple days ago. Supposed to ship to local dealer Aug/Sept. I can't wait! Great review! I've been watching loads of videos on the gen 3.
@@allenglishknives6823 I had as new the 1998 Gen 1 the 2014 Gen 2 , the Gen 3 is in my opinion by far the best Busa , only Gen 1 and 2 owners will understand , if you can take the Gen 3 for a test ride you will understand (-:
@@TheDoorman27 Thanks for the info. I was a bit underwhelmed at first like a lot of people. But the more I see of it I think the sum of all the small improvements has made a much improved bike. Roll on the Gen 4!!! 😁💪🏻
I knew you would giggle when you rode that Busa. You can't not smile when you ride one of these beast. I'm about to add a 2022 BMW R1250GS to my garage with my 2013 yellow Hayabusa. I feel blessed.
whenver bikers get on to these beasts they become a small child with that smile and happiness which is so nice to watch..Thats what these bikes can do to you😍
I owned a 2000 'Busa. Thrilling over-the-top engine. I could ride it an hour or so at a time before my wrists and back screamed. I was only 50 then.....
This was a great review on the Busa with a British twist Suzuki made a great bike even better have always wanted one but made the transition to cruisers many years ago and never looked back still wouldn't mind having a Busa though!
Yep my Gen II is the best bike I ever owned ( I have owned three) Hayabusa’s get better and better with each generation the Gen I was great, but totally outdated and old looking, the Gen II was more modern, powerful and better handler , now I think this will improve yet again - cant wait have a ride of this to compare to my Gen II. People complained when the Gen II arrived in 2008 just like now with the Gen III but the Gen II proved to be a massive improvement in every department over the old bike. Now Suzuki is very clever and despite being similar in power to the Gen II looks and electronic additions should make this so so good 😊 Don’t think I will sell my Gen II though I love it too much Go Suzuki 👍👍👍👍 Go Suzuki
There is something about the acceleration of the Busa (and in fairness the ZZR1400) that is quite intoxicating. I have previously owned 5 gen1 Busa's and feel a new one coming on. Great review, and your chuckling at the start (@2 mins) is what this machine is all about...
@@andrewhull365 Oh yes! The generally dry roads have proven to be a real bonus. Already approaching its first service. The rider modes are still leaving me baffled but that is because I haven't invested enough time to read the owners manual...Thanks for asking. What do you ride?
I had that very bike out for an hour or so from Crescent in Bournemouth. Absolutely loved it, agree with you on all points, stunning piece of work and usable. 👍
Sounding like the holy mother of the in-line four sports world! With Suzuki offering them at 2.9% PCP or HP this year its no wonder there have been more Hayabusa's out and about this summer. Definitely a bike for us short arses with the seat height and peg positioning. Another great vid.
It has a great look ,I like it better in silver with the red flashing, and love the dash actual clocks( but i am an old timer) enthusiastic Bruce came alive. 👍👍
Nice review. I've come to really like this 'busa now. I was a little disappointed at first that it didn't get a cc & power bump but realistically it didn't need it. Kawasaki boosted cc & power with the ZX14 but have now discontinued it so seems that wasn't the answer for the Hayabusa after all. Plus Suzuki were never going to invest in building a 2 litre 6 cylinder turbo or whatever daft version some people were asking for. Seems everyone who hasn't ridden it slates it but those that have appear to think it's pretty good. Who knew the best way to find out what a bike is really like is to actually ride it lol!
I like the look of it Bruce I wasn’t a fan of the looks of the gen 1-2 but this wow and this is the first silver one I’ve seen I think it looks the business 👍👍👍

Ha Ha thanks James, aye it always gets me when I ride off the euro tunnel onto the M20 after riding like a maniac for a week in Europe. Sat at 70/80 on the motorway just feels like you could step off the bike doesn’t it!
Man you're right. In video games (especially The Crew 2), I'm usually doing speeds of 150-190mph. When I finally want to obey the laws of traffic and do 30-65mph, I feel so slow😂
@ 2:02 Sir great review and video.. you should be the voice of the new “ Tickle me Elmo”!! I’m only kidding. This current Busa is #1 on my list for my touring to see the country side! You were extremely fortunate.
On the motorway, the Busa cannot use all the power it has. My FJR uses only 50% throttle. So it boils down to: Ergonomics, paniers, shaft drive, electric windscreen, heated grips, cruise control, center stand amenities and passenger pillion.
I have ridden the ZX14r my son had one we used to ride together. I assume it's alot like the busa although it was pretty basic with ride modes and traction control.not to mention no quick shifter. It was a blast to ride and a rocket. Very planted even at speeds.
Great video Bruce, loved the proper gauges and the look of the bike, with one exception"............the SIZE of those endcans, they ruin the bike. The Aprilia Tuono Factory had the same type dustbins on, the dealers did offers with the carbon akra from new, and it’s a different bike to look at, not forgetting the weight saving. How many kilos do those 2 end cans weigh ? Nice to see you reviewing bikes again.
