    I have a tip I'd like to add. If you get your color 'locked into your roots' you should go without washing your hair for as long as you can tolerate. I dyed my hair blue and washed it the same day and a good amount of dye got lost in the shower, then my color began fading after 2 weeks or so. Next time I went without washing my hair for a full week and my color lasted so long that it was still there when my new hair was growing in.
    You definitely get more value for your money if you can hold off washing your hair for a while!

      I have thin hair . Argan Life Shampoo creates a great feel and smell but does not weigh my hair down. Love it!! Also with free shipping option, i got my parcel smoothly.

    Coconut oil is seriously amazing! It saved my hair... super cheap too!
    I just saturate my hair and sleep with it over night. After showering my hair feels so soft and shiny!

      A bit late, but i find argon oil works really really well and makes hair healthy (instead of only looking healthy)!
      a small amount in damp hair goes a long way :)

    I only use coconut oil and castor oil on my ends ( I have ombre a little more up in my hair but it is healthy ) and that is all I do, sometimes I also use toner on my hair. That is all I do ahah I have never dyed my hair before that or bleached and have only washed my hair once or twice a week so it only ended up a little bit dry. One tip is to use coconut oil in your hair before bleaching ( make sure that you can do it, im not sure of that every bleach can be used with coconut oil ). I don't use any heat protectant or any heat on my hair, and if you wash your hair with cold water can you flip your head over instead so you only get the cold water on the scalp and on the hair. After showering I use a little argan oil on the middle to the tip of my hair to keep it hydrated and then just let it dry ( yes it takes a long time, I have thick hair🙃 I have pin straight hair so That is why I don't have to use any heat )

    this is the second time I'd bleached my hair, and something that works for me as I love to get hot showers is that I first wash my body but I keep my hair in a bund, once I've finish with by body then I grab some shampoo and get water to be colder so I can unbund my hair and wash it really fast to avoid losing lots of color, once I'm off the shower I try to dry it a little, specially in the hair ends so it doesn't acumulate water and avoid painting my cloths, specially if I'm in a hurry.

    I really want to dye my hair but I'm worried about how the bleach will affect it long term, even when the color is completely gone. Hopefully that won't be a problem as long as I take care of it because my hair is naturally very soft and healthy.

    can you only use a shampoo and conditioner too? (not a normal one but for dyed hair) cuz i use a special shampoo for my dyed red hair and i was wondering if i can use it too for my hair if i have dyed my hair pastel purple (it's not really a red shampoo, it's for not natural colors) :-)

      Not that I know much about it, but I've had dip dyed hair for about 4 months now and I wash my hair everyday, and the colour is still pretty good, I don't know if it's because I dip dyed it a natural hair colour but oh well

    Would you say pastel colour hair is harder to maintain and upkeep than blonde? Or just about same?

    • @mandappleable
      @mandappleable 9 років тому

      gloriaa0214 pastel color is much much harder to maintain because the color fades so quickly so you would have to continuously redo the color. The color will (almost) never be as vibrant as it was on the first day. With blonde hair, the only issue would (mainly) be brassiness, and rootage.

    • @beautycakez
      @beautycakez  9 років тому

      gloriaa0214 pastel is one step more maintenance than blonde, but it wouldn't say it's necessarily harder to maintain. the only difference is that the pastel color will fade, so you just have to re-tone it (which can be done very easily by yourself), but as for health of hair, it would be the same as having blonde hair because you'd bleach it about the same amount of times. hope that helps! :)
