Do not only use a bond repairing treatment. You need to use moisture treatments as well. Bond repairing can only do so much on its own and moisturizing can only do so much on its own. Best advice is cycle through bond repair, protein, and moisture so there's balance. You also do not need to splurge on colored conditioners/treatments like overtone because as long as it's a direct dye you can mix your own with your preferred conditioner/mask and exact color you used on your hair. Avoiding heat styling helps. For after washing hair, do a mix of water based products and a fatty product over to lock in moisture as well(this depends on texture and density of hair though. My hair is pretty thin and a little wavy so i dont put a lot of products in after washing but a little def helps). Avoid sulfates and silicones in your hair too. Your hair has nice even color but looks so stiff in a lot of videos (which honestly cant be helped because bleach is a bitch no matter how much before and after care you do 😥)
I'm Asian and I bleached my hair myself. It looks good but you can imagine the damage 😂 I ordered the wetbrush but I never thought it would work so well ! Thank you so much !!
Currently going through breakage because I too waited too long to bleach my roots 😭 I’m going to go for a more low maintenance look now haha. Thanks for keeping it realistic and actually giving out good hair information!
I used to let my mum dye my hair and it looked like a mess, so after a long time i decided to go to a Salon to dye my hair, and it was lifechanging I am so happy with my hair now, and they used really good products that didn't damage my hair much If there is a really good salon around, i'd say its totally worth the money but always remember to take care of your hair too
Thank you a lot for this video! I usually don't even watch "beauty videos", but this one was great. It's nice to listen to you and I never heard about hair masks before. I do use oil daily, just like you, and I'll definitely try your oil next! Probably the hair mask too, and maybe even the wet brush lol. Your hair really looks great, especially for dying it for such a long time. I just went back to my natural colour after dying it for years, too. But I'll probably cut it short in hopes it'll recover better then.
Thank you sfm for sharing your tips with us! I've had longglonglong virgin hair my 24 years of life and just recently decided to bleach and dye the bottom half end purple! For years I've been getting broken ends and brushing my tangled hair to death and now that it's bleached I've been searching for what to use to upkeep my color and basically how to rejuvenate it as it's been fading! So again- THANK YOU💕 Im really dying to try out the hair masks and hair oils!!
Just use 20 developer and after bleaching, use a hair mask. I have bleached my hair constantly since I was 16 and I am 22 now. I have always done it myself and I have never bleached my hair to the point of gummy mess. Your hair will get slightly damage (I mean you are bleaching your hair) but if done right it is nothing you will really notice or can’t fix with products.
I just got my hair done and chose a dove gray color (ash with blue tones) and surprisingly, not much of my hair fell off from the bleaching process 😂 the hairstylist told me that Im lucky since my hair is healthy 😂
I loved this video so much! It was so informative to me bc I love to dye my hair and have made mistakes like those but I'm slowing learning. I'm starting to plan hair styles in advanced, added oils (I use Moroccan Oil) to my routine, started using hair masks (I use Overtone The Remedy which I would love for you to test), and I bought Wet Brushes. I definitely am going to try what you suggested! I remember when my hair was so damage I got out of the shower and my hair when it dried a little would feel sticky and soft and would stick to my hand if I pressed it against it. I think that's what you experienced too. Love this video again! I hope to see more videos bc I love you so much!
I really want to dye my hair pink but I'll have to bleach it first and i dont want to ruin my hair :( Thanks a lot for sharing this video! It was really helpful
Yeaaay, been dyeing hair for a couple of months now. This is very insightful! I have faded blue, its almost gone now and Im planning to have pink hair cause of you hahaha luv u 💞
Thanks for talking about this! I have grown out all of my bleached hair, but I will go back to a unnatural color this year around, so this video came just at the right time!
It's a good thing I only want the lower half of my hair dyed red. I have straight, thick, coarse black Chinese hair and I couldn't handle the upkeep of a full bleach/color. I travel a lot and hate having to go in all the time XD
I’m dying my hair purple for the first time in a few weeks, and this video was really helpful! I have thin hair that gets greasy easily so I wash it everyday, but I know that’s only making my hair produce more oil. I also sweat a lot, so I'm hoping that by getting an ombre it will help me maintain the color for longer. I also think I might out try some hair oil even though it sounds kind of counter productive lol.
This makes me really miss the years i had unnatural hair colors but sadly i cant financially maintain that anymore 💔 i think about at least dying my hair jet black with a blue ombre but i still dont think i could feasibly maintain that hairstyle still 💔 alsoo for those who want this lifestyle of colored hair...realistically and speaking from my own experience: your hair WILL be damaged. It is completely unavoidable. Yes you can nurture and care for it with the tips from the video but your hair WILL be processed, dry and overall unhealthy despite your best efforts. Its a lie to believe it will be suuuuuper healthy after bleach. Sorry to say this but its a reality check.
Laila Qasbi dying it won’t do as much damage but if you’ve already got dark hair there isn’t much point. It’s up to you though. But I prefer black brown hair over jet black.

could you tell me more about how you went to orange to pink? i had orange hair and it was almost impossible for me to get pink hair (it is kinda pink, but i never got to the pastel pink color that i wanted because my hair is always in a orange hue) and i really wanted to know how you did it, you’re amazing and this video really helped me, unfortunately i won’t be able to get the products, but thanks for sharing ❤️
Hey I personally had to bleach them again until they were almost white to have pastel pink. I'm pretty sure if you want bright pink you probably wouldn't have to do it but if you want any pastel color you need the extra bleach (and probably a purple mask/shampoo inbetween to take the rest of the yellow out of your hair). Hope this help :)
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that doesn't use conditioner, and my natural hair is very dry hair masks and hair oil saved my hair, conditioner is too weak for me
I went full pink 2 years ago and with my life style it was hard to keep up with retouching, so I’m resetting my hair now. Plan on going for an ombré into ashy silver. Dark Asian hair is a struggle
Thank you so much!!! I bleached my hair at a top salon but i have really bad breakage... So i hope that those products will help even just a little😍😍❤️
I want to just explain what Mei was talking about further when she said when you bleach your hair or get it professionally done you need to realize what that means. Once you bleach your hair your base color is always gonna be platinum, light blonde, or brassy blonde (depending on how well you bleach and tone your hair at home) mixed with whatever color you put on top of that bleached hair and after a few washes, eventually that color will have a faded look even if you do protect the color. On top of this, if you color your hair an unnatural color and then decide to go back to a more natural color, that natural color will fade and not look as good at you root hair color. Your hair will never look even until you cut off the bleached parts of your hair. I also want to express the bleaching process is the most important process to getting nice even colored hair. You cannot have patchy blonde hair or brassy/orange tones in your hair or else when you color your hair purple, blue, green, etc. it will come out patchy and not as vibrant not only that but you may not get the color you desired if you don't take out all the orange and very yellow tones. If your doing bleaching at home (which I don't recommend honestly because it never comes out great your first time) PLEASE be prepared to maybe bleach your hair twice if the first bleaching didn't take out the orange tones. I also don't recommend bleaching your hair twice in the same session. Wait at least one or two hair washing cycles. Make sure your hair is as dirty as you can possibly handle before you bleach. One thing that has personally helped with preventing hair damage when bleaching is Olaplex or something equivalent to Olaplex. Just ask a beauty store for it, they should know what you're talking about. Put this in the bleach before you bleach your hair and it will maintain the integrity of your hair. BUT even better is to just get it professionally done because your hair will most likely never have that salon quality look. At least let a professional bleach your hair.
Thank you so much for this~! Dying your hair isn't going to absolutely, positively destroy it, lol. It's all about making sure that you know your limitations when it comes to doing the job yourself. Always conduct your own personal research, and really make sure that you know your own hair!
Random vid request: If you are willing and ready, can you show us your new home? Even just your room is fine, I am very curious to see how you decorated your place ^^
I got a shampoo brush for the shower, cost a $1 at the dollar store and all my hair stopped falling out in the shower I thought it was the hair dye! My hair is baby pink like yours in this video and it grows faster too since I started using a shampoo brush.
yes you talked about everything that i would have said!! people always expect blue hair to fade very quick and are confused when it turns green but i mean ??? isn't that obvious!? anyways thank you for sharing this xx
just wanted to note… brushing your hair wet is not always better than brushing it dry! do NOT brush curly hair dry it will turn into a frizzy mess and become dry
Watching this even though i have an Afro with fine strands and would never go near bleach 🤣🤣 Just love your voice Also the way your hair behaves bleached(dry and breaking. Needs hair masks and hair oils) is how my hair behaves on a normal day 😂
I found two different Fibre Fix products similar to what you showed us here, but they have very different price points. One was Fibre Fix Bond Connector, same name as yours, which is on £13.70. And the other is Fibre Fix Bond Fixer which is... *deep breath*... £108. I know. I know. The difference in price is crazy!!!
I dye my hair a lot as well and people have asked me how I kept it healthy. People seems to forget their hair after dyeing it. I always say that processes hair is dead dead, there’s no way to revive the dead. But you can fool people from thinking it’s not. People don’t do anything about their hair after they killed it. I spend twice as much on hair products than I spent on actually dyeing the hair. If y’all want to dye your hair please spend just as much on haircare...
I had very dark black hair and I went bleach blonde but for the longest time I wanted to do pastel pink so I did it and ever since I colored my hair pink I started seeing so much more damage than I did with the blonde so I’m just going to suck it up and buy everything you just recommended because the split and dried hair and breakage everywhere got so bad this past month. 😭 my left side of my hair from the front is so much shorter than the right side (uneven) and the layers 😢 I’m so embarrassed but I still want pink !
When I want to switch from blue I add pink to make it purple (light purple). For some reason purple fades a lot. I'm constantly redoing my hair. I don't do anything with yellow undertones because that is sooo hard to get out. Thanks for the tips on softer hair.
I'm thinking about buying the fanola diamante oil but I'm not too worried about a yellow tint with the hbl oil since I have olive green / yellow hair. Is there a significant difference between them ? :)
I dont't know if this video will help cause i will dye my hair pink (Sukuna) on my bday and i know all hairs are different, and i wanna know how to take care of it throughly and what products to use specifically and ETC.
Do you have tips how can I get a lot of volume on my colored hair without heat and products ? Because I used many products and heat protections but nothing helped
Watching this after some stylist ruined my hair and gave me bright blue when i asked for a toning and a refresh on my pale silver lilac... -sigh- it's going to be a long road...
i dyed my hair green (a vibrant yet dark green, somewhere between slime and forest green) like a month ago and i disliked it from the get go but four weeks later it hasnt faded in the slightest and i haaaate it. i wanna go pink or peach but thats the exact opposite of the colour wheel and its killing me like its gonna take sO long to get there
I’m watching this because I went from blue to pink haha. I did it slowly though. Waited for it to fade to an extremely light blue and then used color removal. Terrible I know. I think once I hit pink I’ll start caring a bit more. I use oil and take vitamins. Good luck to everyone switching from blue to pink lol
Is black hair supposed to be able to be bleached to blonde in one sitting? I've gotten my hair bleached twice now and it's still a medium to dark brown and I can't do anything with it. Should I ask my stylist next time to use the strongest bleach/developer she has
brav0_zulu I wouldn’t suggest that, using really high developers won’t necessary get you what you want and it will cause A LOT of damage in the process Hair needs to go through different levels of lightness it will never be able to go from black to blonde in one go it’s a process just like going from blonde to black is also a process By going slow your hair will lighten up in a healthy way that won’t cause your hair to break off
brav0_zulu brav0_zulu Yes but she was there for over 10 hours I believe,it takes a lot of work and even then there’s a point where the hair cannot take any more bleach/damage and literally breaks off, it depends how your hair lifts (becomes lighter) everyone is different As I said I 100% don’t suggest it, consult with your stylist they know your hair and will be able to tell you how light they can get you realistically I work in a salon and am in cosmetology school I’m around this everyday I’m not saying it can’t happen it can it’s expensive, very damaging, and if you go slowly lighter it’s better for your hair in the long run

@@daria_xoja609 here I am replying a year later but it was good!!! My hair kinda got fried tho and the color didn’t stay but 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
In this video she looks so much like jungyeon from twice!
Both of them are absolutely gorgeous
oh my god i love the wet brush its literally the best i've been using one for about 2 years now and its so great
Do not only use a bond repairing treatment.
It looks good but you can imagine the damage 😂
I ordered the wetbrush but I never thought it would work so well ! Thank you so much !!
Currently going through breakage because I too waited too long to bleach my roots 😭 I’m going to go for a more low maintenance look now haha. Thanks for keeping it realistic and actually giving out good hair information!
I don't plan on bleaching my hair any time soon but you bet I watched this without skipping 😔🤙
cielo514 lmaooo same. just love watching mei talk 🥰
I used to let my mum dye my hair and it looked like a mess, so after a long time i decided to go to a Salon to dye my hair, and it was lifechanging
I am so happy with my hair now, and they used really good products that didn't damage my hair much
If there is a really good salon around, i'd say its totally worth the money but always remember to take care of your hair too
Thank you a lot for this video!
You don’t even know how bad I needed this video
I’m so glad I found this video since we have the same hair type and your hair is so pretty and healthy looking
I wanna bleach my hair but im really scared that i will ruin my hair :(
Aydil - same!!
I want coloured streaks in my hair but I'm scared it will look bad on me. ☹
Hair grows back and life is about a lot more than hair, you'll be fine ultimately so do what makes you happy
Evelyn Z. So if i let a professional person to bleach my hair, nothing will happen right?
I just got my hair done and chose a dove gray color (ash with blue tones) and surprisingly, not much of my hair fell off from the bleaching process 😂 the hairstylist told me that Im lucky since my hair is healthy 😂
Planning to dye my hair again💖 thanks for this guide mei♡
I really want to dye my hair for the first time, so thank you a lot!
Perfect timing ive been needing a color change but its already been bleached but I need it to chaaaaaangeeee so happy to see you post ofc lysm!!~ 💕
7:50 color mask 10:04 1-aura therapy diamante pura regenerating fluid 2-hbl treatment oil {cheaper but yellow}
My hair is just damaged I don’t dye it it’s just damaged
cut it, and afterwards use hair masks and oils on daily
thank you for making this video!! I really want to dye my hair so it was helpful!
Jenny T soooo true I recently went back to black because I can’t maintain the grassy bleached hair anymore lol
@@ricecakesforlife same bruh. same. went back to black and not bleaching my hair ever again
@@Adele5554 i have black brown virgin hair and i want to dye jet black ,but im afraid to damage my long hair ,please any advice 😭😭
Laila Qasbi dying it won’t do as much damage but if you’ve already got dark hair there isn’t much point. It’s up to you though. But I prefer black brown hair over jet black.
@@Adele5554 thank u so much i was do confuse i mean i wait to much to make my hair and healthy again ,u are right its already dark so thers no deffrent ,thank u ❤
just realized that your P.o. box is in city of industry and that we both go to mindy for our hair >.< she’s really the best 💖 also i’m so glad i watched this video bc i almost decided to go for an electric blue in my next session!!
Han Chen sameee i live around the area!!!
Han Chen omg LOL mindy actually screenshotted this comment and texted me about it. she was screaming about you thinking about doing electric blue 😂 so glad you watched this in time!
could you tell me more about how you went to orange to pink? i had orange hair and it was almost impossible for me to get pink hair (it is kinda pink, but i never got to the pastel pink color that i wanted because my hair is always in a orange hue) and i really wanted to know how you did it, you’re amazing and this video really helped me, unfortunately i won’t be able to get the products, but thanks for sharing ❤️
I think she went to the salon.
I used silver shampoo and light silver hair dye which bleached my hair again and then the orange was gone
you look so much like suwa nanaka omg you're so beautiful and so is your hair
thank you so much i've been dying these past days because of how borken and damaged my hair is and you might just have saved my life!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that doesn't use conditioner, and my natural hair is very dry
hair masks and hair oil saved my hair, conditioner is too weak for me
I went full pink 2 years ago and with my life style it was hard to keep up with retouching, so I’m resetting my hair now. Plan on going for an ombré into ashy silver. Dark Asian hair is a struggle
Thank you so much!!! I bleached my hair at a top salon but i have really bad breakage... So i hope that those products will help even just a little😍😍❤️
You are so gorgeous i love your hair!!!
I know this is out of topic but, DANG you’re pretty ;0;
I'm going pink tomorrow and I'm terrified but also very excited. It's my first time playing with color and I'm just hoping all goes well :' )
Random vid request: If you are willing and ready, can you show us your new home? Even just your room is fine, I am very curious to see how you decorated your place ^^
This is the video I've been waiting for!
Very informative!!!
You are so pretty btw and I love your hair 🤩
we seem to have a similar hair type which makes me happy bc it's so hard to find videos for hair care for my specific hair 0v0
this is what I needed!! My hair would always get into knots and feel so dead
Your hair is amazing!!
I got a shampoo brush for the shower, cost a $1 at the dollar store and all my hair stopped falling out in the shower I thought it was the hair dye! My hair is baby pink like yours in this video and it grows faster too since I started using a shampoo brush.
this is what i was looking for!
Thank you!
you should try homemade/natural hair masks! like an avocado or egg yolk mask :P it doesn’t sound that good but it works!!
yes you talked about everything that i would have said!! people always expect blue hair to fade very quick and are confused when it turns green but i mean ??? isn't that obvious!? anyways thank you for sharing this xx
The video I've been waiting for☺
this was SUCHH a helpful video, thx for sharing :) x
your voice is so soothing uwu
this was super helpful!!
GUYS GUYS THE HAIR STUFF SHE MENTIONED IS ON SALE FOR 19$$$ RN :000
just wanted to note… brushing your hair wet is not always better than brushing it dry! do NOT brush curly hair dry it will turn into a frizzy mess and become dry
So what I've heard is changing colour, is to follow the colour wheel. Hope that helps
best video on youtube
Watching this even though i have an Afro with fine strands and would never go near bleach 🤣🤣
Just love your voice
Also the way your hair behaves bleached(dry and breaking. Needs hair masks and hair oils) is how my hair behaves on a normal day 😂
Hi! I want to know if bleach will in any way affect the colour of your roots
you should do an updated piercing video!
This is also a life-saving video for me☺😍 thank you so much😍💕💖
I had very dark black hair and I went bleach blonde but for the longest time I wanted to do pastel pink so I did it and ever since I colored my hair pink I started seeing so much more damage than I did with the blonde so I’m just going to suck it up and buy everything you just recommended because the split and dried hair and breakage everywhere got so bad this past month. 😭 my left side of my hair from the front is so much shorter than the right side (uneven) and the layers 😢 I’m so embarrassed but I still want pink !
lol im watching this video after leaving toner in my hair for too long :^( now i look like trunks from dbz with blue-silver hair 💙💙💙
What dye do you/your salon use to get this pink coral colour i love it so much!
also what happened to your lip piercing??
i reallyyy want to dye my hair half black/half blonde, but idk if i should do it? hmmm
thank you!! this was so informative ♥️
I dont't know if this video will help cause i will dye my hair pink (Sukuna) on my bday and i know all hairs are different, and i wanna know how to take care of it throughly and what products to use specifically and ETC.
You kinda look like a friend of mine! And we’re both East Asians too btw. Love the way u talk :)
do you use the fiber fix as a hair mask or do you put it on after you shower?
I want purple ombre hair highlights.
Should I ask my stylist next time to use the strongest bleach/developer she has
brav0_zulu I wouldn’t suggest that, using really high developers won’t necessary get you what you want and it will cause A LOT of damage in the process
Hair needs to go through different levels of lightness it will never be able to go from black to blonde in one go it’s a process just like going from blonde to black is also a process
By going slow your hair will lighten up in a healthy way that won’t cause your hair to break off
@@samanthadelgado8471 but mei and a lot of other girls with natural black hair go from black to blonde in one sitting
brav0_zulu brav0_zulu Yes but she was there for over 10 hours I believe,it takes a lot of work and even then there’s a point where the hair cannot take any more bleach/damage and literally breaks off, it depends how your hair lifts (becomes lighter) everyone is different
As I said I 100% don’t suggest it, consult with your stylist they know your hair and will be able to tell you how light they can get you realistically I work in a salon and am in cosmetology school I’m around this everyday I’m not saying it can’t happen it can it’s expensive, very damaging, and if you go slowly lighter it’s better for your hair in the long run
