    Thanks for this. I’ve driven the OR coast twice but have just now purchased a luxury RV do that will be a great new adventure. One of the things we loved and did twice was Jerry’s Rogue River jet Boats in Gold Beach, so much fun!

    Terrific points guys! Our son moved to the Portland area about a year ago and we go to go visit this summer. We drove up to Astoria and then along the coast down to Tillamook and it was fabulous! We were there the first of July and it was overcast and pretty chilly but we loved it, and my wife kept saying that she can't wait to go again next year, but next time we'll be in our RV! Keep up the terrific videos, we enjoy them all!

    I can't wait to start our RV lifestyle. Starting to downsize now. These videos keep me inspired to keep working towards that goal. I was born and raised in Oregon and the coast is always a favorite but I like inland too. Kah-Nee-Ta Indian reservation, painted hills, deschutes river, 3 Sisters, etc. Mt. Hood and the whole cascade region is full of fun things to do. Hope you get too check them out as well. Thanks so very much for sharing.

      We hope you get to start your adventure soon. It makes us happy to know that our videos are inspirational to you. We've been to KahneeTa, Mt Hood, the Deschutes, Three Sisters (and town of Sisters) many times. We are planning some travel in Eastern Oregon soon. We're glad you watched and subscribed. Happy travels.

    From Florence on the Central Oregon coast. The temperature range between the coast and the valley can be as much as 30 degrees difference. Warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than the valley

    Just returned from our roadtrip along the Oregon coast. We loved it...best roadtrip so far!
    We loved the clam chowder at Mo's.
    Because of the virus, many of the places didn't have many people...liked it even more.
    Found out that it would rain in the morning but clear up soon after.
    Love that it was jacket weather all the 3 days we were there.

    Great video and suggestions, it is beautiful along the Oregon Coast. I always enjoy the bridges and lighthouses. There is a great RV park in Coos Bay that is right between a Safeway and the Edgewater hotel which is the best hotel in Coos Bay. Its right off 101 @ Johnson Drive.

    Absolutely fabulous video. Great, great job guys. Wife and I are coming to Oregon coast to spend about 6 months there. One question, please. About what is average overnight fee at state parks. We are just gonna do tent camping. Just wanted to get an idea of state ok camp fees. Thank you, and again great job.

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  5 років тому +1

      Thank you very much. We're glad you enjoyed it. We haven't used the tent sites for a while, but we're guessing $20-$25. Hiker/biker sites are usually lower. We hope you have a great time on the Oregon Coast. Keep us posted. Thanks for watching, liking, commenting, and subscribing.

    How many free campsites is there if any besides the the gambling joints. GREAT info except for not fully explaining the cost of campsites could you please in for me so I can see if it's affordable for me to take that adventure as a Astro Van Nomad . Thanks. I'm a new subscriber and I like your great 2 videos of 101. Its BEAUTIFUL landscape .

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  6 років тому +1

      We're glad you enjoyed the video. We rarely ever discuss the pricing of commercial ventures, since it's subject to change and not really our particular focus ... That pricing is likely listed on their respective websites or by contacting them. We're not sure how many free campsites there are, as we were not keeping track of that. However, we do have something planned that might be of help in the future, but it will be a while. We did stay at free casino parking, which does not require gambling. The Oregon Coast is spectacular and we hope you have the time of your life when you visit it. Thanks for watching this one and commenting. Happy travels.

    I love the Oregon Coast, but don't get there very often. Mo's in Newport is my favorite place to eat. What beach where you on when you filmed this? I really like your video's. Makes me wish I could drive...

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  5 років тому +1

      We've eaten there several times... If you like clam chowder, the Mo's location in Astoria is where it's made for all the other locations. So, it's fresh there and frozen for distribution to other locations (but it's still about the same). Oregon is a beautiful state. Thanks for watching, liking, commenting, and subscribing, Barbara.

    We’re considering taking this trip mid June 2018. Do you have any RV rental companies you can recommend?
    Recommend flying into Seattle,Portland, or San Francisco? Thanks always enjoy your channel.

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  6 років тому +1

      We hope you have a great trip. We don't have a company that we recommend, because we haven't personally rented an RV. Do a search and look for the best possible ratings/reviews. If you're only traveling the Oregon Coast, it might be best to fly into Portland. If you want to visit the Redwoods, fly into San Francisco and head up the CA Coast into Oregon. If you'd like to visit the Olympics (...) in Washington, fly into Seattle and head down from there. You can use an inland highway to complete any of these loops, to see more. Thanks for watching this one and commenting. Happy Travels.

      Fly into Portland- head South down the coast, fly into Redmond- head north up the coast- don’t miss a thing! Great Redwoods, Sea Lion caves, waterfalls, historical sites- CANNON BEACH! Have fun

    Any boondocking? Think not? How much is a full hook up for 1 week? $700?

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  6 років тому +1

      There are several RV parks that offer full hookups for considerably less. Figure out which area, then do a search for parks in that particular area. There are several State and private parks located along the Coast. We've dry camped at places along the Coast, but haven't boondocked (meaning been in the boondocks without hookups). Thanks for watching and commenting.
