Thanks for sharing! And yeah, you can’t really go wrong with your picks, I certainly am bias as I grew up in the north, but it’s the Oregon Coast, it’s all good!
Thanks for doing this video. The Oregon coast is one of my favorite places in the USA. I just feel like I'm home when I visit but because of the wind, fog and rain I choose to live a ways inland.
Glad you enjoyed it! I absolutly love the OC, but yeah if you aren't there with nice weather it can be brutal. Thankyou for watching, lots more Oregon content coming soon! ...did someone say, waterfalls? ;)
Love the Oregon Coast, particularly the vibe of Seaside. Love the Goonies and decided to check out the area and fell in love with it. We got married just north of Canon Beach on Chapman Beach last October. We can’t wait until spring to return.❤

Nice video! The Oregon coast is one of my favorite places in the US and I’ve always had a great time there. I especially liked that you covered the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. It’s one of the best aquariums on the West Coast and really impressive that a small city like Newport built it.
Go eat at Clearwater across the bridge next time you go! I've gone there the past couple times and it's been my favorite seafood spot. I've lived in Oregon my whole life, trust me it's good.
I lived in Cannon Beach for a few years in the early 2000s and love returning for a visit whenever I can. All of these towns are great but CB will always have a special place in my heart. Gorgeous beach and scenery and lots of fun shops most of which don’t sell the usual tired tacky touristy stuff.
This video was really helpful. We are heading to the Oregon coast for the first time soon. We are hoping we can see enough in the 7 days we have. Going from Astoria to bandon and back up
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment! And wow, sounds like a fun trip, that’s enough time to really get a good sense of the OC. I have 3 other videos that might be helpful: top 10 things to do in Astoria, Seaside & Cannon Beach. Might give you some inspiration for your trip. Have a blast! 🌲 🌊
We live in Sutherlin more inland, but do enjoy Coast visits occasionally. I used to live at Lincoln City 90's working at Salishan Lodge-Gleneden Beach and this is an all day as an housekeeper job seeing Golf Balls flying job! I enjoyed living up River along the Siuslaw and picking Chantrell Mushrooms that grow abundantly in the forest. I also enjoyed working at the Ester Lee Motel that is right on the Beachfront.
Awe! That’s super nice if you and I really appreciate the kind words. I will try to keep them coming, they are more work than I expected 😜 Thank you for subscribing!
Thanks for the fun, energetic video! Oregon has been on my bucket list for some time, especially the coast. Found your channel today, going to check out more!
Awesome 😎, thank you so much for the compliments, I am stoked that this is going to help you plan your first Oregon Coast trip! Yeah, I’ve got more content coming as well as travel videos in other parts of the world, would love for you to join the journey if I can help.
Nice video! So many great places on our Oregon coast; so many icon places are so overcrowded these days. Look forward to seeing future travel videos. Cheers
Ayyy, I appreciate that very much! And yeah, Oregon is gorgeous and I'm stoked to be able to call it home, but there are areas that have a booming tourist economy (we'll spin it like that) and other areas where you can escape the crowds ;)
Looking forward to our trip this fall. Thanks for the video. I like that you added little nuggets like The Horn restaurant. Us tourists can act like locals and say "Jackson sent me"
Loved your video, coming to Oregon coast in September, we are seniors but act 40, where do you recommend staying in cannon beach and Florence where we can walk to lots of things. Thanks again, will be subscribing to your channel
Thanks! I really appreciate it! Thanks for stopping by and subscribing and getting excited about the Oregon Coast, I love it here. I personally would stay in Cannon Beach, but Florence will be more inexpensive. Regardless of where you stay you will enjoy yourself. I think the northern region is pretty dense with things, you have Astoria, Seaside & Cannon beach all withing 35 minutes of each other... all with so many things to do and explore and hike. That would be my preference.
Nice footage Jackson. I have been holding some great Cannon Beach and Deschutes footage for a rainy day when I am feeling nostalgic and domestic. You did a great job on this. I will check out more this weekend. Subed to follow along. Cheers to 2023! - Bear
Hey!! I love your channel name, a fun play on words 🤙🏼 and thank you for the kind words and subscribing, that honestly means so much to me. I’m really trying to create fun content around Travel/experiences and am glad you are a part of the journey! Also… just given your profile pic I say you like Italy as well ;) my next Video is of some of my time in Tuscany 😜
@@JacksonMeyer Loved Tuscany. Do not miss Voltaire and a side trip to Cinque Terre. Thanks for the support. I hope you enjoy our content like we do yours.
Awesome! That’s my neck of the woods & Ive got dedicated Top 10 things to do and places to see for each of those towns on my Channel! That’s for watching and commenting my friend, I really appreciate it! ✌️
Drive from Florence to Yachats. Or reverse. Done. From Florence to Crater. Stop at Sawtooth Falls. You can go to Redwoods Crescent City up too or down back out Grant's Pass. Up Smith River.
It truly is one of the greatest places, I love the whole state - but I am biased towards the Oregon Coast since I'm from here. ;) Thanks for the comment!!
Well done video. Gave us lots of ideas for our upcoming trip to Oregon. I found it frustrating, though, that he kept skipping all over the coast. Started in central coast, then went far north, then south, then back north then back south again. For someone not familiar with Oregon towns this was very confusing.
Thank you for the comment and I’ve thought a lot about this today. I can’t exactly recall my rationale for this but I was trying to go from my #10 place on the coast to my #1… which means I couldn’t just go north to south or in some order… the order was what I believe to be the top 10 places on the coast. I totally get that this is confusing and I wish I had more order to it, but I hope you gained some value from it and stick around for more travel videos. Thank you 🙏
Like your choices, but there are so many more adventures to be had! Also- showing towns from north to south (or vice versa), would be helpful for tourists or road-trippers, so they don’t miss out. Nice work!
I agree with you that there are more adventure to be had, but a top 10 is a top 10... and it is REALLY hard to narrow it down. I have quite a few more lists coming in the future and it is always a struggle to get to that final list.
Great video and nice drone work. We're doing the Oregon Coast this fall as part of our first time in the PNW so it was very helpful. Thank you! Liked and Subbed. 2;21 (Seaside music) Ha ha, I've used that Soundstripe track once for a TV commercial and once for a travel video. The good tracks always rise to the top.
Thankyou very much, and a lot of it is mine, but a much of it is from fellow UA-camrs, please see description for their work! And that is awesome, glad you are coming to the PNW, we welcome you with open arms! Yeah I have quite a bit of Oregon Coast Travel guides for to to peruse... I'm from the Northern Oregon Coast so I'm bias to that ;) haha, nice - and that is very true, those good tracks are often used. I've heard a few tracks I've used on other peoples music as well, it's pretty funny when that happens. Let me know how I can help!
@@JacksonMeyer Thank you! Your video has gotten me very excited for this portion of our 2 month journey. Have you been to the "other" famous Seaside? Seaside FL on Scenic Highway 30-A on the Gulf coast of FL. (Our home for many years) Just as beautiful but totally different. I highly recommend you visit there someday.
@@JacksonMeyer we are staying in Garibaldi and I plan on starting up at Cannon and driving down to Florence. No rest for the wicked :) We are going to use every bit of daylight to see what the Oregon Coast has to offer.
AMAZING! You are going to have a blast - that’s the height of the tourism season so be aware of the hotspots and traffic, but enjoy it! And you are welcome 🤗 glad you liked it!
Thankyou very much and we have a HOT take here ;) But it's hard for me to disagree, there is a lot to do in that section! Then again, It seems like every stretch of the coast has a very special feel to it.
I watched this video and instantly subscribed. I'm from Astoria and have lived here the last 3 1/2 years. I've been exploring our beautiful coast. With your top 10 videos of the coast I will now know what to look for. Your video's are very informative and fun to watch. Thank you for your hard work in creating these jems.
Wow. This is probably the nicest comment I’ve received, it means so much to me and reminds me that these videos are worth making, I’m glad you subscribed and I hope you enjoy my travels. I’ve got some Europe videos coming (as I just got back from a trip) but then back to Oregon Content and I have some really cool ones in the works! I appreciate you and I hope to see you in the comments of my future videos! 🌊🌲✌️
@JacksonMeyer I'll be looking forward to your new video's and I'll spread the word around town about your channel. PS my grandson was in town and we flew airplanes off the top of The Column thanks to your video. I've been up there many times but didn't realize this awesome thing to do. Thanks to your video I do now. My son and I collected stray airplanes around and put them at the bottom of the stairs for ppl to fly. Again thanks to your video.
Thank you so much! I actually was just talking to my wife about creating this, I really think people need weekend, 4 day and 7 day itineraries for the Oregon Coast. It's a great idea that I haven't created yet.
Great vid. I am in Edmonds WA and I have done the OR coast a few times. I always want to get locals opinions and there were a few that I did not know about.
I've always enjoyed Neskowin. You seem to have skipped Heceta Head and Sea Lion Caves (smelly but interesting). There used to be several local cheese factories - Reedsport was one, Bandon was another, making really good cheddar. Tillamook bought them, and shut them down, to eliminate their competition. Langlois at one time had a super good French cheese. For curvy, slow nostalgia take the Carpenterville Road north of Brookings, formerly 101!
REALLY good tips! thank you for the comment - I didn't skip Haceta, I mean I did in the video, but with so many lighthouses on the OC, hard to find a reason why Haceta needs to be on there when I left out a bunch of them, unless there is something spectacular that I missed? I like it... it's too crowded for me that's for sure. Sea Lion caves are sort of interesting to me, I hate that is costs s much for literally a crappy smell and idk, I don't ever recommend that to people. I didn't know that about the cheese factories, interesting. And yesssssss, I'll check out Carpenterville Road next time.
Awwww thank you so much! I really appreciate that, I love hearing those comments, literally makes my day and reminds me that I’m not just wasting my time on here! 🙌 Thank you again, you are very sweet 😜
I wish you had featured Southern Oregon Coast a bit more-Brookings has a lot to offer as well as Gold Beach. That said, Canon Beach was the perfect first choice-even the drive to Haystack is breathtaking.
Hey, Thanks for the comment! The Southern Oregon Coast is gorgeous, very different from the north - but what exactly do you think would have made the top 10 from Gold Beach, Brookings, etc. What are the main things do you think I missed, I'd love to hit them up on my next trip.
As someone from the North Coast who loves Tillamook, played them in Highschool as a sports team, and LOVE the factory... just recently on my southern Oregon Coast Roadtrip, I had Face Rock Creamery, and I'm definitely a believer and you have a valid case to be made :)
Yup yup - there are quite a few OC towns that are known for the crabs in their bays… I had to make a decision that made the most amount of sense to the most amount of people. So much to do here…
Thankyou for the compliments Susan, but you know I have to ask - what did I miss? I'm always curious since these are my stomping grounds, but I also don't want to give away some local secrets ;)
Well, come on down! The OC is an epic place and almost impossible to not have fun. Have a great trip and thanks for watching my viddy, hope you subscribe for future travel videos ;)
Hmmm, someone might be bias… as I am!! Haha, they definitely can be crowded, but that’s not enough to drive people away, northern Oregon Coast is a must visit!
Great video! We visited spring of last year and fell in love! We ok only wonder about jobs... what types of jobs are there out there for a young family to relocate to the coastline... possibly cannon beach area? We loved Tillamook/Oceanside (where we stayed) but just curious on the financial aspect of things in order to be able to relocate out west(currently living in Indiana)
Super good question, and thanks for the kind comment. So coastal jobs are centered around tourism and education, then there is the stalwart businesses that support local and a lot of small entrepreneurs. Remote jobs are obviously the play... or live inland in Salem and Portland where there is just more commerce and large businesses. I will always Recommend Oregon to people, it really is an incredible state with everything you'd want... could use slighter warmer weather and less rain, but It's very nice!
I think you should visit every beach and coastal area in the entire cost of Oregon. However, there are no good motels anywhere north of the California and Oregon border. Period. If you can't afford the higher priced hotels on the coast, don't forget to pack your camping gear. You'll need it. Of course, it goes without saying (but I always say it anyway) Oregon State Parks are top notch...
@@JacksonMeyer I've lived in Grants Pass since 2014, love the southern Oregon coast experience with my teardrop camper, and noticed that right around the pandemic suddenly I couldn't "legally" camp "pretty much anywhere" along the roadside overlooking the ocean. That really put a crimp in my spontaneous camping style. When you do your next video, comment on that, please.
Best comment of the week so far!!! Thank you so much for the kind words, I really really appreciate it - Lots more PNW viddies coming soon… with an occasional Europe Adventure!! Haha 😜 thank you again 🤙
It did not. What do you think should have been included from those towns in this list? Genuinely curious, I’ve never really found my groove in that area of the coast, or something that would replace one of the items on my list…
I appreciate this comment more than you know, no joke - Lincoln city is my 11. We had a beach house in Gleneden, I have a lot of memories there… but I had to make a decision. I had to decide on what town it would replace and it got me stumped.
How could you overlook so many sites in Coos County, especially SHORE ACRES STATE PARK? Lovely videos, but you missed out on some of the most significant.
Btw you should check out sea and sand campground and once you go down the path to the beach there’s a little stream of water that’s fun to grab a shovel and build a dam make a vid like that pls
It's a good question, as many places on the coast can actually be quite expensive in the summer, we actually normally stay in our car (Prius haha) and or stay camp at sites with a tent. I don't have any experience staying at Airbnb's or anything like that, sorry.
This is a GREAT question, as someone who wants to be a respectful drone operator there are some sacrifices one has to make. I try to follow the law,but the law is super grey in some areas so I’d rather play it safe. There are a lot of protected areas… any island off the coast is off limited if flying “near” when there are birds nesting… i didn’t want to take my chances and so I didn’t fly much. In the description you’ll see all the people who did fly in these areas and I used their footage. So in short I didn’t have many issues when I was filming, but you always want to be aware of the law.
I sleep in car at cape Perpetua by the cell tower great internet reception. You go walk beach between churn and thors in morning. Usually nobody else there. If they are don't care park anyway.
I am planning to take advantage of a business trip to Oregon, I am planning to do a quick Coast trip, from Astoria to Bandon in 1 day, stopping in key places. Do you think it is doable and worth? Thank you.
Personally, I wouldn't do this, you can't really do it in a day. I mean you can, but you won't be able to stop much. If you do this, it will be one heck of an adventure and story, but I think it would be better to maybe do like the northern or southern half... and stop in those key towns, or attractions, but as it is, the whole state is like 7.5 hours from border to border.... its a lot! Have fun!
Traffic twisting roads and ALOT of small towns that slow you down a lot. Was raised on the coast and it takes hours upon hours upon hours to drive it all. Enjoy a select section
Sorry! ;) I do get excited and try to deliver the information fast, but I believe that my top 3 places in CB are Pizza A'Feta, Bill's & Bruce's candy kitchen - make sure to say hi to kyle at Bruces!
@@JacksonMeyer I enjoyed the video and thank you for the reply! Hope to visit some of the places you mentioned. It will be a couple of months or so before we make “the trip”!
It’s a good question, but I will definitely say no. Is it possible, yes… but not to really enjoy them. I often travel and find that I never have enough time to truly enjoy where I am since I am constantly on a schedule to get to the next place. I think it would be better to plan on like doing Northern Oregon Coast, Central Oregon Coast, or Southern Oregon coast… each deserving at least 2 days each. 👍
Rock Stacks, "Sea Stacks". The Iredale is in Hammond not in Astoria. People will get confused. You forgot the South Jetty over look. Great video and nice sellection of locations. Dont forget Cape Meares and its lighthouse for whale watching.
The Iredale is in Hammond/Warrenton area, but If you are going north of Gerhart I kinda put all of Astoria in that range.... My top 10 Astoria video goes into more details about Astoria, and I put the South Jetty Overlook in that one. Thanks! And I actually haven't done cape meares... I know I need to.
@@JacksonMeyer Use to live in Astoria. Did some work at Stevens Historical site (bunker area). I have a couple drone videos in the Astoria, River area. Ya, Cape Meares and Cape Lookout are great places to explore the coast.
You completely overlooked Oregon's Bay Area, Coos Bay/North Bend, with Shore Acres, Sunset Bay, and Cape Arago State Parks nearby. Charlestown for great fishing and the Portside Restaurant for good food. Reedsport is home to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, and along with Winchester Bay, a place to get sand dune activity as well.
Thanks for the comment! I couldn’t capture everything in my top 10 and while I don’t disagree that those places are amazing… its the area that I’ve spent the least about of time in, and I think every time I was down that way, other areas would get prioritized, and had a hard time justifying it in my top 10, and for whatever reason didn’t make the list. Im sorry! I’ll check those spots out next time I’m down there, thanks for the tips!
Honestly… I didn’t realize that “white sand” was specific. Just looked into it and I guess I learn something everyday, I have been calling it a white sand beach my whole life haha
Hey im going to sea and sand Lincoln city this Monday my camp spot is in the left side of the entrance all the way down maybe if you come i can meet you 😂
It's a good question, I haven't explored as much of the Oregon coast as I have of the Oregon Coast... in all reality it goes without saying that the Washington coast is far less explored and developed than the Oregon Coast. With 101 pretty much going all along the coast, all of it is pretty east to access, Washington has islands and inaccessible by car areas that make it more wild. I love that.
I enjoyed your video and subscribed. You have a nice touch and present yourself and your subject matter well. After living in L.A. for nearly my entire life, I moved up to Seattle a couple of years ago, but now I feel like I gotta do the Oregon Coast thing. It looks GREAT. Maybe you could do one about the Washington Coast...??? :D
Thanks for the sub and the very kind comment! I definitely am learning that's for sure and I have a lot more PNW content coming, so I hope you stick around. And honestly, I was looking up Washington coast yesterday, and after your comment, I think I absolutely need to, no doubt.
@@JacksonMeyer That's great news and I look forward to watching the video when it comes into being! One of the more enjoyable aspects of your work, your videos, is the fact that you narrate it yourself, which gives it a personal, more intimate touch. I typically don't subscribe to channels that use computer or AI-generated voices, or that use someone who has that ultra professional, radio commercial salesperson. It sounds phony and generic, and it's just off-putting. By using your own voice, and putting yourself and your wife into the video, you create an organic, from-the-heart style video. So yeah, Jackson, keep up the good work! Also, like Oregon, Washington not only has amazing beaches but breathtaking mountains as well, with Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker being the two most well known. That too is another potential topic to cover. Oh and let's not forget the Olympia National Forest!
Yes, the Oregon Coast is notorious for rainy wet winters (still worth visiting) but you aren't going to get nice warm days unless you are in the summer or shoulder season. Summer is my favorite time of year, that's for sure.

Going to Astoria soon for my anniversary. first time to the oregon coast. I live in oregon but closer to Idaho. I am so excited.
OMG have so much fun, and I hope you get some decent weather, that really is the only downside of the Oregon Coast.
The best guide please keep make these new subscribers here ❤
Wow, lots of beautiful things to see and lots of fun things to do in Oregon. I didn't even know there were sand dunes! 👀
Thanks Cliff & now you know! Hope all is well 😜
planning a family vacation and this was a great help!
I’m glad it was useful! I’m from the North coast so I made travel guides to Cannon Beach, Seaside & Astoria if you want to check those out 😀
Us tourists can act like locals and say "Jackson sent me"
ayyy, that's what I like to hear, I've got some more local guides on Cannon Beach, Astoria and Seaside as well if you want to dig in a little deeper.
We're going to be taking a driving trip from Seattle down to San Diego, and will be heading down the Oregon coast. This was most helpful. Thanks!
Oh that's awesome! You are going to be able to hit most of these, have a blast!
Such a well put together video! You've really captured the experience of the Oregon Coast.
Thanks Thomas - we’re hitting it hard in 2023 right!? Keep it up, Im trying to do a video/week - provide a ton of value and see what happens! 👍
@@JacksonMeyer Dude same on a video a week for 2023! It's a lot but will be cool to see the hopeful growth!
Oh yeah, my Cinque Terre video is one of my favorites, Never done Voltaire ;) Thanks for the recommendation, and I'll check ya out!
Great video, thanks for sharing. I have been to Astoria and Cannon Beach. Both are incredible. 👍🏻
Awesome! That’s my neck of the woods & Ive got dedicated Top 10 things to do and places to see for each of those towns on my Channel! That’s for watching and commenting my friend, I really appreciate it! ✌️
Great video!!!Just arrived in Bandon and planning a whole week of fun was just made easier. Thanks!!
That’s amazing! Glad this is helpful!
Thanks for the vid! Oregon looks absolutely amazing 😮
Glad you liked it! It truly is a special place, thanks for watching!
Drive from Florence to Yachats. Or reverse. Done. From Florence to Crater. Stop at Sawtooth Falls. You can go to Redwoods Crescent City up too or down back out Grant's Pass. Up Smith River.
please do a video on the best parks to camp at. also the best fly fishing rivers/shops/ spots.
That might be a little too niche for me, but I'd love to watch yours if you make a viddy!
Oregon is my favorite place ever!!!!
It truly is one of the greatest places, I love the whole state - but I am biased towards the Oregon Coast since I'm from here. ;) Thanks for the comment!!
Im going to the coast Sunday after watching this Depoe Bay.
yesssssss, have fun my guy!
Thank you 🙏
amazing video. great shots. fun facts. amazing job!
Thank you, I really appreciate it. Enjoy the Oregon Coast!
I highly recommend you visit there someday.
i live in southern oregon and will be visiting seaside and astoria next month ..cool vid
Awesome! I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the northern oregon coast (my home! 😜)
I’m visiting for 3 days in June, thanks for the video and tips.
Hope you enjoy it & no problem 😉
Be there end of next month. From The east coast and bought my kiddo and hubby a 5 day trip to the Oregon Coast :)
ayyyyyy, have so much fun! Thanks for watching my video and commenting! Let me know if you need any more ideas and have an absolute blast :)
@@JacksonMeyer we are staying in Garibaldi and I plan on starting up at Cannon and driving down to Florence. No rest for the wicked :) We are going to use every bit of daylight to see what the Oregon Coast has to offer.
Love this that’s a lot of cheese to hit the ball 😅
Haha - it’s true though. 👍 ⛳️
I lived in Tillamook for a few years. I miss everything about it.... except the winters.
haha I feel that, it can be testy, but man the summers make up for it, it's unreal!
@@JacksonMeyer I agree... I think its the most beautiful place in the country during the summer.... and I don't mind the smell of cow sh!t.
Thanks for the video. I plan to trip here and made some videos in July-August!
AMAZING! You are going to have a blast - that’s the height of the tourism season so be aware of the hotspots and traffic, but enjoy it! And you are welcome 🤗 glad you liked it!
This guys makes the best videos 🎉
Thanks 😜 - I really appreciate it! Lots more to come in 2023
A great video! The absolute best part of the Oregon Coast is from Lincoln City to Florence!
Thankyou very much and we have a HOT take here ;) But it's hard for me to disagree, there is a lot to do in that section! Then again, It seems like every stretch of the coast has a very special feel to it.
@@JacksonMeyer you are very welcome! Yes every part of the Oregon coast is great!
me and my family go to the coast at least 5 times a year spent countless hours there😀
it's honestly the best!!!! Thanks for watching!
Great video! I'm glad I found it. Any chance you've done a 7-day Oregon coast itinerary video that I missed in your video library?
Thank you so much! I actually was just talking to my wife about creating this, I really think people need weekend, 4 day and 7 day itineraries for the Oregon Coast. It's a great idea that I haven't created yet.
Great vid. I am in Edmonds WA and I have done the OR coast a few times. I always want to get locals opinions and there were a few that I did not know about.
Oh that's awesome! Well thanks for stopping by and checking it out, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you learned a little bit - happy travels!
I've always enjoyed Neskowin. You seem to have skipped Heceta Head and Sea Lion Caves (smelly but interesting).
There used to be several local cheese factories - Reedsport was one, Bandon was another, making really good
cheddar. Tillamook bought them, and shut them down, to eliminate their competition. Langlois at one time had a
super good French cheese.
I moved to Bandon when I was 9, it has been a pretty cool almost 20 years
That’s awesome, Bandon is incredible - I’ve got some great videos of the OC coming up, hope to see you in future comment sections 😜
You did an amazing job. Great shots, info, narration, and personality. 🎉
Awwww thank you so much! I really appreciate that, I love hearing those comments, literally makes my day and reminds me that I’m not just wasting my time on here! 🙌 Thank you again, you are very sweet 😜
Thanks for sharing man. State of Oregon is by far the most beautiful state in USA.
It really is! Thanks for watching my Oregon Coast Series, I have just my Oregon Top 25 and Top 10 coming later this year :)
@@JacksonMeyer Looking Forward to It👍
I wish you had featured Southern Oregon Coast a bit more-Brookings has a lot to offer as well as Gold Beach.
Jet boat trip up rogue river in gold beach.
The Face Rock Creamery in Bandon is THE place for coastal cheese, and no reeky smell of cow pie.
As someone from the North Coast who loves Tillamook, played them in Highschool as a sports team, and LOVE the factory... just recently on my southern Oregon Coast Roadtrip, I had Face Rock Creamery, and I'm definitely a believer and you have a valid case to be made :)
Love your video, keep up the good work!
OMG, thank you very much, I appreciate the kind words
You should take some adventures inland sometime. The traffic is much better east of the 5. High lakes, waterfalls, and desert so many treasures.
We will! I’m just a coastal kid, and the ocean is my home, but we are planning a few eastern Oregon trips this summer 👍 - will document them all. 😜
Brookings is wonderful! Don’t miss Zola’s Pizza, or the chips at Wild River pizza!
Good to know, thanks for the tips!
haha thx for the in depth video!!!!!!!!!
Not a problem! 😜
well done. Loved the Video
ayyyyy, thank you ;)
Great ideas. Bandon rules for me!
Thank you so much! 🙌 and yeah, Bandon is seriously special… it’s amazing. I’d love to play some golf there but jeez 💰
@@JacksonMeyer I'm not made out of money either so instead I played Bandon Crossings [green fees were reasonable] and hardly anyone was there. 🏌♂
Bandon is also known for its fishing and crabbing in the Coquille River....you forgot to cover the sports side of the Oregon coast.
Yup yup - there are quite a few OC towns that are known for the crabs in their bays… I had to make a decision that made the most amount of sense to the most amount of people. So much to do here…
Very educational and beautiful, but lacking a couple very important things for me.
Thankyou for the compliments Susan, but you know I have to ask - what did I miss? I'm always curious since these are my stomping grounds, but I also don't want to give away some local secrets ;)
Heading there in June
Well, come on down! The OC is an epic place and almost impossible to not have fun. Have a great trip and thanks for watching my viddy, hope you subscribe for future travel videos ;)
from Coos Bay north the beaches are too crowded, Lincoln City looked like So Cal. did in the 90's
Hmmm, someone might be bias… as I am!! Haha, they definitely can be crowded, but that’s not enough to drive people away, northern Oregon Coast is a must visit!
Summer can be very crowded! Weekends and 3 day holidays are bad too. It’s my home.
I’m trying! I have a few top 10 beach ideas in the hopper that will come out this summer, I can’t get enough of the OC, I love it!
Great tips!!
Thank you very much, very glad that you enjoyed the viddy! Lots more Oregon videos as well as other travel ✈️ coming soon!
This is awesome

Best comment of the week so far!!! Thank you so much for the kind words, I really really appreciate it - Lots more PNW viddies coming soon… with an occasional Europe Adventure!! Haha 😜 thank you again 🤙
was hoping coos bay, north bend and charleston made this list.
It did not. What do you think should have been included from those towns in this list? Genuinely curious, I’ve never really found my groove in that area of the coast, or something that would replace one of the items on my list…
Dude! What about Lincoln city??? Cascade head hike, shops, the mall, Tie die pie, D RIVER! shortest river in the world and a casino!
I appreciate this comment more than you know, no joke - Lincoln city is my 11. We had a beach house in Gleneden, I have a lot of memories there… but I had to make a decision. I had to decide on what town it would replace and it got me stumped.
@@JacksonMeyer i neglected to mention it was a well done video so, good job on that🙂
Good job
Thankyou very much! Thanks for watching
Hi Jackson! What company did you go with for the Sand Dune Buggies? I can't seem to get a hold of any.
Sandland Adventures! They are great!
@@JacksonMeyerthank you so much!!
I went to Bandon, with its golf resorts it is so fun
Oh my goodness that is a bucketlist item for me! I'd love to play the course, but man is it expensive!
How could you overlook so many sites in Coos County, especially SHORE ACRES STATE PARK? Lovely videos, but you missed out on some of the most significant.
@@RosieBirds coos county got the shaft for sure, but many made my Top 10 SECRET beaches lists 😜
Btw you should check out sea and sand campground and once you go down the path to the beach there’s a little stream of water that’s fun to grab a shovel and build a dam make a vid like that pls
Sounds fun!
Question, where did you sleep? Any recommendations for that?
It's a good question, as many places on the coast can actually be quite expensive in the summer, we actually normally stay in our car (Prius haha) and or stay camp at sites with a tent. I don't have any experience staying at Airbnb's or anything like that, sorry.
I like the Dunes where river comes out. Below Florence.
Those are truly the best, softest sand ever!
I want to see said right before school started
niiiice ;)
Portland is really a beautiful land.
It definitly is! There are areas that aren't as nice, but that's everywhere ;)
Portland has become a shit hole! Sorry not sorry!
Agate beach? Can you find agates there or not? If so that would be fun.
Yes, but there are better beaches that I will let you discover on your own ;)
So did you have any trouble with drone laws when you were filming this?
Thanks for sharing!
If you do this, it will be one heck of an adventure and story, but I think it would be better to maybe do like the northern or southern half... and stop in those key towns, or attractions, but as it is, the whole state is like 7.5 hours from border to border.... its a lot! Have fun!
@@JacksonMeyer Thank you
Traffic twisting roads and ALOT of small towns that slow you down a lot. Was raised on the coast and it takes hours upon hours upon hours to drive it all. Enjoy a select section
I could not hear your top 3 places at the end of this video. You said them really fast. I only heard Bill's OG. Thanks!
Sorry! ;) I do get excited and try to deliver the information fast, but I believe that my top 3 places in CB are Pizza A'Feta, Bill's & Bruce's candy kitchen - make sure to say hi to kyle at Bruces!
@@JacksonMeyer I enjoyed the video and thank you for the reply! Hope to visit some of the places you mentioned. It will be a couple of months or so before we make “the trip”!
Jackson question: Is it possible to hit all these spots in 2 days?
It’s a good question, but I will definitely say no. Is it possible, yes… but not to really enjoy them. I often travel and find that I never have enough time to truly enjoy where I am since I am constantly on a schedule to get to the next place. I think it would be better to plan on like doing Northern Oregon Coast, Central Oregon Coast, or Southern Oregon coast… each deserving at least 2 days each. 👍
Don't waste two days. Instead, give yourself two weeks' worth of thrills and great memories on the Oregon Coast.
@@JacksonMeyer
Use to live in Astoria. Did some work at Stevens Historical site (bunker area).
I have a couple drone videos in the Astoria, River area.
Ya, Cape Meares and Cape Lookout are great places to explore the coast.
Where did you rent ur dune buggy? What store do u recommend?
Sorry for the late reply, it's called Sandland Adventures, they are great and very reasonble!
This is hard but I probably only have 1 and 1/2 days to explore the Oregon Coast before I leave for California. What do I even prioritize?
Oof, I would say I would prioritize time on the coast, not seeing the most, so whatever maximizes your time.
Exciting 😇
Thx 🙏
Good job, but those aren't white sand beaches. That's the Florida Gulf coast and adjoining states down there.
Honestly… I didn’t realize that “white sand” was specific. Just looked into it and I guess I learn something everyday, I have been calling it a white sand beach my whole life haha
We should meet each other sometime I live in Portland Gladstone near happy Valley
Oh nice! There are so many adventures to be had in Oregon, hope to run into you sometime!
Hey im going to sea and sand Lincoln city this Monday my camp spot is in the left side of the entrance all the way down maybe if you come i can meet you 😂
Do you like Oregon coast more than Washington coast
It's a good question, I haven't explored as much of the Oregon coast as I have of the Oregon Coast... in all reality it goes without saying that the Washington coast is far less explored and developed than the Oregon Coast. With 101 pretty much going all along the coast, all of it is pretty east to access, Washington has islands and inaccessible by car areas that make it more wild. I love that.
@@JacksonMeyer Oregon coast is amazing!! I assume Washington & Oregon both are amazing!!!!
Is this more of a summer thing?
Yes, the Oregon Coast is notorious for rainy wet winters (still worth visiting) but you aren't going to get nice warm days unless you are in the summer or shoulder season. Summer is my favorite time of year, that's for sure.
