- Here's my Camp Chef Alpine Heavy Duty Cylinder Stove Out of the Box video. I have fired it up for the first time, plus have already used it in my tent and cooked a pizza on a skillet on it. It is an incredible wood stove.

Thank you. Indeed, the legs without the holes are the leveling size.
Thanks for leaving the comment.
Rick
Thank you!!! Great video. The only thing I can add is that my dampener was hidden in with some paper, and I thought they forgot to ship it.
Glad you found it. Have you used it yet and have you had any issues controlling the temperature in the tent?
Rick
Think I prefer the Camp chef over the COLORADO CYLINDER STOVE SPRUCE STOVE
What are the things you like better?
Rick
use clamps much easier
Thanks for the tip, but how would you clamp the pipe sections together? I'm not following you on how that would work. I'll research that but send me a link if you have one.
Rick
Ugh.. 20 minutes of a fella not knowing how to put stovepipe together.. 🙄
Well, I'm not perfect and this is my first wood stove.
I would like to hear some tips or advice on what I could have done better or can do in the future.
All advice is appreciated.
Rick
😂😂 u asshle he did his best i appreciate the vid mine comes sat
You did fine. My advice though is to always run a wood stove with a chimney on. They depend on the updraft of the chimney to get hot. You can tell a stove is working right if hardly any smoke comes out of the door.
Much appreciated.
I didn't put the stove pipe on with the first burn as it was windy and the pipe was getting moved around by the wind.
I used the stove on our latest fishing trip to the Miramonte Reservoir several weeks ago and I noticed the level of the ground had the front of the stove a little higher then the back and smoke was coming out the door. I propped up the back legs so the stove was even and that fixed the smoke issue.
The current issue I'm working on is that the stove is getting too hot, even when I completely shut it down. I'm testing a few things to seal the door better so I can reduce the amount of oxygen getting into the stove.
Let me know if you have any tips on this issue.
Rick
I appreciate you putting this together like any of us would do the first time. Your video really helped me see what it will be like if I purchase this verses the Colorado barrel stove would be.
