The reason that the other side isn't drilled out, is to allow you to adjust the legs for uneven ground.

I actually just ordered this same stove tonight for myself, going to modify it slightly, adding a rope gasket to the door for better air seal may weld in a baffle to increase efficiency for secondary burn may also add a layer of thin refractory brick to prolong the life of the belly of the stove and then fabricate a new grate and then weld on tabs to the bottom of the legs with a hole drilled in incase I want to fasten down to a floor with a couple screws so it's secure in it's position, I'll definitely be getting a different chimney cap as well but all told it seems like a well built unit and with proper care should last for many many years to come.

I just got this stove, been wondering if some kind of sand or thin fire brick would help hold heat longer.

The stove pipe is tall in order to reach above the roof peak on a wall tent for better drawing power, and no back draft.

Hi, I have one and use it often for my garage. This ia an awesome stove, BUT the 5 inch chimney pipe that is inserted into the stove melted. My flu is now about 3 inch from the flat service.

How many hours of burn time can you get before filling? Like in a 10x10 Kodiak I’m thinking to put this stove in just want to know if I have to tend to it every couple hours when sleeping

Is this the regular Alpine or is It’s a heavy duty? Did it come with that stove pipe if I remember right in the video it was tucked inside right?

  • @lindayorke8108

Have you had any issues keeping the fire going in the stove?

I did not see a baffle plate ? Is it built in OR its not design with it ?
