Ive been there at villa escudero wayback 2017 with my batchmates , we enjoyed so much there at the waterfalls we ate there barefoot and in jacuzzi swimming pools
Both Mike and Nelly's pronunciation of Filipino dishes is getting better! Very impressive! Allowing us to be part of your every journey is worth the time. Nelly is mesmerizing in peach hue while Mike strikes it with black ! What a pleasure watching your vlogs. Keep it happening! That singing of Mike is a teaser!
This is the best video I've seen of this Villa Escudero experience, and the picture quality is really good. If I am allowed to fly from the UK, I am hoping to visit here in April. Take care Mike & Nelly Xx
Nelly, that’s the sweetest “Joke lang!” I’ve ever heard.. hahaha.. it’s so nice to see you enjoyed the place so much.. the last time I was there was in the 1980s.. but after seeing this vlog, I’m definitely going back asap.. stay on the safe side..
Been there early 90’s too,If I remembered it correctly the entrance fee was around P190 including the waterfall lunch.wonder how much is the entrance now....probably over P1K🤔🤔🤔
I loved it when I stayed in one of the villas overlooking the lake as it was so peaceful at night when fog settled on top of the water. We spent time at the terrace while playing games and some were lounging on the hammock enjoying the view. Eating there with the falls as the background and riding the transportation being pulled by Tisoy (white carabao) while touring the place was so awesome! And the food, I was lucky to experience the buffet and they were delicious!
Dear Mike and Nelly, Thank you again for continuing to do your travel vlogs in the nearby place in NCR, Im from Quezon also I am an avid fan of your Vlogs. One thing I look forward to seeing in your vlogs is 60fps and high resolution (2k or 4k) content for us to feel more that we are in your vlogs too.
You guys, just making me go jump into the water and gobble up on those genuine Filipino dishes right up. I wish I had your life, man!!! I’m here in New York stuck working like a horse and you guys are making me cry... why ???
Villa Escudero used to be a coconut and sugarcane plantation in the 1900s :) They built the Philippines' first hydroelectric plant on there to supply water for their farm - which is now the "waterfalls" at the al fresco restaurant :)
So you two are from Austria. I've been there and Austria is one of my favorite tourist destinations because of the gorgeous sceneries. Stay safe and enjoy the Philippines
There's another resort not too far from Villa Escudero - Hidden Valley. My family and I used to spend weekends there. They have cottages and natural swimming pools. There was one with soda water but my favorite swimming hole was the one where you can feel jets of warm water percolating through the stone floor, not so many that the water on the pool gets warm. Just a pleasant surprise as you wade around. There is also a waterfall that's about an hour's leisurely walk from the main part of the resort. You can't swim there, though; the current is too powerful. Did I mention that the resort is in a rainforest?
The experience i have there is so unique. First they accomodate you with sagot gulaman drink while you were waiting then they show you some itenerary like yoh will be riding with carabao in caritela they will drop you at every kubol wherein theres presentations of diff tranditional dances or filipino culture. One itenerary youll be in an old church wherein the memorabilia of escudero family lies inside the church turn into museum. I seen some dried butterflies. Old coin collection etc. There also like lagoon where you can kayak or ride a balsa. The finale would be that man made waterfalls the buffet of food is place in the sides and the tables were place in the center wherein the water runs. Its so superb experience. Im so happy that you visited that. Thumbs up to bothe of you
That's called "Eating in the Rain." You've finally tried green/unripe mango + bago-ong (shrimp paste). Try that again as a snack in the near future. It's good as a healthy snack between mealtimes.
I just recently discovered this Channel and I already love them,,,, I love how they are very respectful to the places they go and their reactions are priceless ❤️
The place is sooo beautiful👍 i really enjoy watching this😘and Nelly your sooo pretty you look sooo fresh and your outfit so nice😊makes me hungry while Mike is eating😃😃😃God bless you Mike and Nelly be safe always❤️❤️❤️
My 3rd cousin grandfather who was haciendero(big landowner)was the original owner of that land He just exchanged it to an imported horse from spain to spanish man who married to a filipina. That was a long long time ago
Our family stayed overnight there and it was not just the waterfalls and the food, its the serenade they gave us to call us for dinner. Its the beautiful museum in the church, the dining restaurant and the fresh air at night in our native nipa hut. My whole family loved our stay there. Thanks for featuring that place.
watching your video enables me to experience the Philippines without being there! I'm learning a lot about my country watching your travel vlog. Thank you! stay healthy and be safe!
I would really love to meet you both, I went to Villa Escudero before with my family and we had a blast. Nice to see that you are enjoying every moment of it there, hope they still have the museum. You are so pleasant to watch as always, and Nelly you are so cute when you said "joke lang" Much love and be safe guys.
Wow that was so amazing. Nice ambiance to get a picnic with friends. Hope when pandemic is ended, I'd like you to come in Northern Luzon and see the beautiful scenery there like in Ilocos Region, so many beautiful spots in there and u may also visit my province too we have a beautiful Hundred Islands (100 islands).
The last time I went there was a long 20 years ago, back in 2000, was on vacation with my wife and two boys age 4 and 2, we lived in California back then. We did the one day tour, went to the museum in the morning and the front yard of the museum with Japanese WW2 small tanks. Then lunch there at the river, the tables back then was mostly wood. After lunch went to the large swimming pool. The hardest part was late afternoon going home, my two boys was crying because they don't want to go and enjoyed swimming (in the kids pool next to the big swimming pool). Villa Escudero they said is inside Quezon province, I thought it was Laguna but I was wrong. Our family have an ancestral coconut plantation outside of Atimonan, Quezon province, it was inherited by my grandfather from his pure Spanish father. My first cousins are managing the plantation now.
We were there yesterday how come I did'nt got the chance to bump with you guys 😶. It was really a nice lunch experience, one of a kind! My kids enjoy the pool. What I love most is that they were able to promote/preserve PH culture with their place ambience, cultural performance and museum. I just pity the carabao though, but they seems to be taken care well. The hotel staff are friendly and talented!
So, you are in Tiaong, Quezon. You should try some of their famous delicacies Pancit Habhab, Lucban Longganisa, Minanok, Sinantolan, Puto Bao, etc. Enjoy!💪🤣
Villa Escudero offers an inclusive overnight stay that starts with lunch, dinner and breakfast buffets before Covid. You get a lovely bahay kubo by the river and it sleeps around 10 people. There’s a loft that they provide with little beds. The main floor has 1 bedroom, kitchen sink, living room, dining table, 1 big bathroom for everyone 🤣 You can even go fishing in your kubo bcoz its by the river. Sorry idk how much it cost....my Tita invited me to come along.
It's a natural instincts Amongst Filipino that when food is serve on a banana leaf the tradition is to eat with your hand especially when you're feet is submerge in water. Years back I was in Villa Escudero; the place has swimming facility, antique museum surrounded by coconut tree all included in the entrance fee. What Locals usually do in Villa Escudero is swimming in a separate area; dine by the waterfall barefooted.
Philippines has millions of refreshing destinations waiting to be discovered by Magellans like you 😂even in the middle of very hot summer season. Go visit also Bato Resort in Quezon too. The river fresh water feels like you're inside a fresher even summer time

I’m so glad you visited that place. Had great time there with my friends way back 1989.
