I just got into strongholds, and after you properly learn them, they’re insane, volatile devour black talon is my preferred currently

Yep. Only thing id change. Stongholds should at least be in B tier. It has single strongest source of DR in the game at 95% and can heal you to full health on demand by just timing you block. Pair it with a valiant charge sword or black talon and go commit war crimes in pvp or gambit.
It's such a shame how much point contact sucks because it's easily one of the coolest looking exotics in the game.

Phoenix Cradle is highly underrated, like seriously. Use them in a group, everybody will love you and you're literally just doubling your buff durations
I'd use them if they didn't look so damn ugly, the siva ornament doesn't help much either.
They are amazing. The problem is that you quickly realize your teammates do not sit in your Sunspots. They look like fire damage pits spawned by the enemy or your allies have no clue what Sunspots do.
Even if they are aware they would have to change their playstyle to really take advantage of it. Bungie needs to make friendly Sunspots easier to identify to allies.
It's a cool effect and was my main exotic for Sunbreaker, but lorely is so much better in end game. I think up time for sunspots just for yourself outweighs the team benefit of Cradle, and then you also get crazy survivability on top. In end game, the chances you can take advantage of a sunspot you create in the middle of the battlefield is minimal.
my team never used the sunspots. They look too much like enemy damage anyway and the legs themselves are hideous. It was better for me to be wearing the old HOIL and just slaughter everything around me and help that way.
Agreed. If you have heavy handed on to make orbs with bonk hammer, it will draw people towards your Sunspots. Then run ember of benevolence for faster cooldowns when you help an ally, which stacks with Sol Invictus. Very fast grenade cooldown, constant orb generation, and team support.
Even outside of Sword Meta, Stronghold deserves to be much higher

@@SantiagoGT15 like really, Crown Splitter and Lament and even Falling Guillotine do very respectable damage, there's just a lot of encounters that put bosses out of reach. The survivability at any range is unmatched though
Totally agree, Stronghold is always super underrated and is one of the most fun exotics in the game. Shout out to Selfu
I mean lament just from using it is really solid, its my top damage option for nezarec and its still got really solid ammo compared to rockets etc.

Homie has a HARD bias between warlock and titan. He wants to believe warlocks got everything on a silver platter while titans get served hot shit on a leaf. He put winter's guile, which is basically wormgods caress but on warlocks, on B tier, then for wormgods caress he turns around and puts it in C tier.

The fact you put synthoceps A and ASHEN WAKE S is insane to me when Ashen only works with solar fusion nades. Synthos work with all melees even on glaives! (Even thought it got nerfed)
That nerf was too strong. Glaives are practically shite now :/

I will never recover from titan mains who have always loved synthos acting like they’re garbage now because a new interaction was nerfed.
They still give +50% super damage universally and +200% melee damage. S tier for that alone. And they got a nice bonus for glaives. Just because glaives are trash doesn’t mean synthos are.
Ashen is super niche and is fun in low tier content but can’t go anything above legend content. A is generous it should be B tier.
@Casted_Shadows my friend synthos stay procced for 8 seconds after you are no longer considered surrounded. That’s really long. It’s also the reason why you can run mini hammer in GM’s and have ease.
Then on top of that you get a really nice 50% super buff. S tier easily.
you just proved how little you know about the game with this comment my guy, titans barely have any exotic armour now that really stands above the rest, warlocks and hunters have MULTIPLE it's frankly a joke how shit the majority of titan exotic armour is still to this day.
Severance was fun before 3.0, bc u just throw a hammer and a lighter guy and everyone just exploded, it was like a magnetic grenade that you could keep picking up
I partly used it to get through the Legendary campaign. Instantly wiping every add around you while healing is kinda handy is some parts. Def needs some love now, though.
Tbh I haven't used severance since 3.0 because before you had to pick between hammers and sunspots but now you can do both so might as well use ashen wake with hammers for the best of both.

@@briangiordano8682 ik but there are many other good exotics to run, like if you want to be a team player run those legs that allow your teammates to use your sunspots, and once we gave hammer sunspots I mean it kinda does it for us, I haven't tested to see if the explosions give us sunspots but I doubt it rn
@Rich Rooster it doesn't give sunspots but the hammer kill does. But the legs are absolutely terrible. Phoenix cradle doesn't really have any other plays. You can make massive amounts of orbs with bonk and severance and never have to use ammo.
Cross I know this is random but you need to do a damage test for a synergy between stasis hunter and warlock. If the hunter throws the stasis super the warlock can constantly send out the shockwave with winters wrath and deal crazy damage. Uses less of the warlock super and combined with ballidorse wrath weavers it’s nuts. Don’t throw any stasis crystals with the warlock super just spam the shockwave when the enemy gets frozen from the hunter super.

easier to just run it with stacy turret build, ballidorse is kinda meh but it's an ok combo. lean on stacy and when you get your super don't use it till you have at least one or 2 out

Armamentarium is easily one of the best exotics for titan, and even in the whole game. Having an extra grenade with no trade offs its amazing and works amazing with void and arc (for solar ashen wake its better)
Sad that the Warlock Melee counterpart is getting buffed next season while Armamentarium isn't though.
Works wonders with strand to make up for not having the legs you need essentially trading off the extra strand your barrier sends out for an extra tangle grenade
I feel like a change for NBP is have it work for all subclasses and give them their version of survivability. Restoration or cure for Solar, void overshield, Stasis overshield, woven mail, and for arc maybe have it blind enemies. Of course for the Strand one you can get woven mail easily but after the new aspect NBP could be viable for it

Hoarfrost once the Elemental Shards thing comes back could be pretty useful for the armor charge system. :D

Yup. I literally pve main severance on sentinel volatile build, and hoarfrost on stasis crystal shatter build. Both are amazing fun
honestly, saw the void build on youtube for severance and its one of my favorites to run rn especially bc I can run wavesplitter with it
Synthos S tier. I’ve been rolling with them since the pre warmind buff. Super and melee damage basically for free is insane, especially in PvE. They make Strand Titan crazy, they make Arc Titan crazy, just punch the world and delete stuff with supers. GM and PvP viable by miles.

He's even displayed how crazy Strand super damage is with them. Along with a bunch of other melee ability synergies and the lunge range, they're definitely one of the best Titan exotics
Strand titan has the most bonkers lunge distance in the game with synthos. I like to pair them with Monte Carlo for 100% melee energy and damage buff time. It's actually insane how well you can ad clear even in higher end content with this set-up.

I'm not saying Severance Enclosure is good, but it is my all time favorite void build to just have fun with. With the new echo of cessation fragment, it basically creates a nuke and just sends everything around you flying. It's even more funny when the ones around you have shields because they fly even further lol
My boy, you break my heart with Stronghold at F. Stronghold, Lament, and Behemoth has been my primary build since I started watching SelFu in Season of the Lost and I have been amazed at how it has kept pace with each of the seasonal metas in terms of survivability, ad-clear, and DPS. Since I main it, I say it's an S-tier exotic and encourage every Titan main to at least give it an honest shot, but I would say A is an honest rank for it. No less, but it's not the kind of exotic that the world should drop everything to build around, so S isn't honest
Always wanted to make a build with that exotic, got very high stat with god roll stats too, ill make it soon

Hoarfrost S-A imo, literally makes you pretty much unkillable in PVP and makes so effin many stasis shards in PVE (i heard something about them counting as armor charge next season but im not sure of the credibility of that), plus DR and overshield
Bungie said there will be a new mod that turns have a chance of turning stasis shards, ionic traces, firesprites and void breaches into armor charge next season in a twab

Good thing Eternal Warrior is getting a pretty tasty buff next season! Might be the pick for arc Titan if you run Grand Overture or even other arc heavies. We'll see when we get our hands on it, though.
Hoarforst maybe one of the funnest play loops for hyper aggressive pve, with 100 res and 100 dis your throwing up ice walls every other second. Add in the new exotic bow and it’s nothing but ice walls everywhere.

Cross quit being a titan main in 2021-2022.
Did they fi. It yet so it gives you the increase in sun spot buffs or nah because last I used them right around solar 3.0 being new and it only gave your teammates all the increased and not yourself.. shame cause I use to rock em religiously right b4 solar 3.0
@@madmaxim3965 Not sure if it's still an issue, but the reduced duration on yourself comes from using the Burning Maul super (yes, its a bug). Swap it out for Hammer of Sol and your Sol Invictus will work properly with Phoenix Cradle.

With that one void fragment that has a void explosion spreading volition on finisher final blows; deference enclosure is SO GAS. It’s really good in general when combined with controlled demolition.
I do have fun on severance with a void titan build, it’s infinite volitiale and I think shield too but it’s really just a fun patrol/hero gm to build. Titans have a lot of good looking exotics but 90% of them are eh maybe to don’t bother
I won't deny that Precious Scars could use a little buff somewhere, but I swear it never leaves my Titans' head; she sleeps with that shit on.
The overshield on revives is great, but that burst of healing is amazing! Do not underestimate it! This helmet has carried me through some of the hardest content, no cap.
Pheonix cradle in B and Lorley in S is so crazy. They should be swapped. After Lorley got nerfed to only give x1 restoration they’re just an exotic that may prevent a death here or there on an already safe class. Pheonix allows your allies to benefit from the crazy survivability and boosts their cooldowns too. Plus it has the cool interaction of extending roaming supers of allies that have passed through the sunspots.
Lorely is redundant on anything but high-end content at this point, and even then, you're better off not running solar at all

@@masonwillms2542 yeah it does. Lorely allows you to shit out a sunspot when weak, effectively giving you instant healing and a DoT circle when you’re about to die. It’s nice for survivability, but it’s just a normal sunspot
loreleys literally lets you solo flawless dungeons, flawless raids, without even having skill.

As someone who has refused to ever take off the feedback fence gauntlets for years now, I hate that they're only C tier. They look so good and the theoretical effectiveness they could have is really cool.

They really need an update. They haven't been touched in so long. At least make the explosion count as arc damage and cause jolt. The melee defense is actually pretty significant so I'd like to keep that.
@@spidudetoo1212 the main reason I use them is for the damage resist and the fashion. Arc 3.0 synergy would be neat, and probably what Bungie would go with if anything, but I personally wouldn't get much use out of that change since I'm a hammers titan.
All I want is a piece of armour where Ionic Traces bump start health regen like Wormhusk (obviously has a cooldown) would be amazing!

Sounds like a perfect buff for Eternal Warrior to me. Collecting Traces gives a health bump when not in super, and when in super, collecting traces replenishes some of the overshield the thing grants instead
Stop wishing you was a hunter they literally already gave you a dodge for some unknown reason
As a Titan main, these are my wishlist for some of the exotics that are either or have been irrelevant for a long time or have fallen off the meta. I've had these thoughts for a while especially since the HOIL nerf. Some of these are quite unhinged but fun.
Peregrine Greaves - After a kill, you can shield bash chain for a limited time
Ashen Wake - In random order, any of the other solar grenade options activates after the fusion grenade explodes. It's 2 grenades in one.
Armamentarium - Fastball is inherent and melee is replaced by frag grenade. When behind barricade, frag grenade gets energy for every weapon kill.
No Back Up Plans - Devour activates when shields are depleted (void subclass must be on)
Icefall Mantle - It doesn't slow you down but can't shoot either. Can only melee. Resist x4 when activated
Ursa - While super is active, cast shield to create ursa shield (mini cone) on ground that expends super energy. Enables wielder to shoot their weapon as well.
Second Chance - Breaking shields refund shield. Grenade kills refund some shield energy
Kephris Horn - The fire that the shield creates when casted is wider and travels further. Also comes back. The first wave causes ignition. Shield ignites when broken. Can shoot own shield
Stronghold - Can work with Glaives
ACD/0 Feedback Fence - Can work with glaive and sword. Any hit by opponent will activate explosion and causes knockback to surrounding opponents
Precious Scars - when shield is cast, you can see its health and every kill heals it. When health is full, it strengthens the barrier and releases a burst of healing when destroyed. Radius of healing depends on how low your health is.
Mk44 Stand Asides - Depending on the subclass equipped, shoulder bash has different effects on hit. Think Bombardiers. Also, sliding starts overshield gen.
Eternal Warrior - Gain instant speed boost when activated. When riskrunner is equipped, gain arc conductor for a longer time. Super kills extend super. Become amplified for extended time after super is done.
Helm of St14 - Bubble grants devour and volatile rounds to weapon. Bubble diameter is increased but bubble gets smaller in time until end of sup.
Mask of the Quiet - Ability energy recharge scales according to damage taken. Also damage taken save up energy for kickstart. Priority is ability with lowest energy.
Hallowfire Heart - Grants 2nd grenade, 2nd melee and 2nd shield charge when super energy is full.
Crest of Alpha Lupi - Orbs created drop beside wielder and can shoot to loot orbs regardless of weapon or weapon perks.
Point Contact Cannon - Cloudstrike effect on kills and can move while charging. Arc conductor activates while charging
Actium War Rig - Auto loads holstered weapons and generates special weapon ammo when you're able to kill a certain amount of enemies with one mag.
Severance Enclosure - Any powered melee hit knocks opponent back and sticks an elemental bomb afterward. Class ability detonate the elemental bomb when cast or after timer expires.
Cuirass - Gain a second charge when opponent hit doesn't die. The damage is significantly reduced on the second charge.
Phoenix Cradle - Created sunspots from afar track to you and scorch any opponent who touches it.
Path of Burning Steps - Every debuff effects are significantly reduced as well, become immune from suppression.
Cool ideas, some similar to what i though. Only one criticism, cuirass, elm and similar "super exotics" should do more than just buff your super, but it should do something outside your super, justifing the exotic even when you dont have your super and not having a "switch exotic" that you put on when throwing your super and then switch off
Think doomfang, yes they buff sentinel shield, but melee kills recharge it faster.
Hiw about something like this for cuirass
-thundercrash does bonus damage and gains an overshield when casted (same as before). Ballistic slam kills give you bonus super enery, and recharge faster when super is full

Feedback fences are deadly in pvp, especially with arc titan and all the melee based fragments.

Armamentarium is definitely A tier, POSSIBLY S tier now with ionic traces. Having 2 pulse grenades allows you to consistently get a grenade charge back. To me, it became far more valuable once Inmost Light got nerfed as far as grenade builds go.
Being a void/solar/strand heavy season, i agree with Ross' placement. In an Arc heavy season, 100% S tier.
Armamentarium (and every exotic that only gives an extra ability charge) is a solid F Tier. All it does is make it so you can't waste ability energy OR let you use the abilities back to back for a longer cooldown. The only remotely useful one is 6th coyote for quick boss DPS, but there are still better options.

Synthos with strand grapple melee is my latest jam on titan it's so fun.
Feedbacks have been getting some meme play in the community recently, so I think they could go into B, also Armamentarium's utility and build synergy puts it in A I think...and an argument could be made for Synthos & Anteus to go into S tier...

Peregrine is pure love. When we innately want to use our jumps to evade, those greaves teach us to use our jumps to come together (in a collision)
I really, really want it to do more damage in PvE. Nothing worse than gearing up a sick Peregrine Greave shoulder tackle into a yellow bar and having it no-sell it and then uppercutting you into space
@Sestze true. You can really set up for some action movie level shoulder charges, that end up feeling anticlimactic. But at least in pvp it one shots! Unless it whiffs.

The perfect recipe to get people mad at you.
Synthoceps is probably the best PVE Titan exotic rn. And my only issue that is keeping me from ever singing the praises of Abeyant leap this much is that you 100% HAVE to run the aspect that gives you lashes in the first place. If Stand Titan ever got better aspects that exotic immediately drops in stock where as Exotics like Synthoceps and HoiL easily stay relevant. Not to mention if they nerf anything about suspend or even the aspect its a direct nerf to that exotic which puts it on such shake grounds.
D1 Hunter here, I ran a lorely splendor build trying to duo RoN and was surprised how insane the healing is

In open areas but in places with little or no headroom they're piss. They're also piss when you have piss team mates who kill the group of mobs you're about to dive bomb with a grenade.
What Cross needs to do, is make the Hunter exotics video, and then compare each class to see which class have the best exotics/the higher amount of good exotics. See which class has the most S Tier and most useable in comparison.

As a titan main i agree with this list, id just move severance up a little bc using it with throwing hammer got me through master Duality
Really wish they would rebuff the titan arm exotic icefall mantle, the exotic ability cooldown on that thing is also bugged. Rebuff no back up plans too

It's viable in small maps. And rather than a shutdown tool, it reaches it's highest potential as a predictive tool. And thanks to Strand tangles, it can rarely kill full teams in 3v3. But suspending an enemy and leaving them at half health is also nice
So I had a few ideas to change some of these exotics to make em better:
Canon brace: reduces the charge melee to full by half, increases its damage against targets by 50% and give melee energy back for each target killed.
Hollowfire: When super is charged, abilities gain +40 scorch stacks, and solar weapons gain +20 scorch stacks. This would allow the exotic to have a clear identity over HOIL, as right now, there is no real reason to use it over HOIL.
HOIL: ability regeneration gains stacks when collecting orbs of power, stacking up to 4x. At 4x, ability regeneration goes back to what it was pre nerf. This would allow HOIL to regain it's power, but the stipulation would be orb consumption. Stacks timer refreshes on orb pickup.
Worm god Caress: timer refreshes on melee HITS, as opposed to kills (exactly like Close to Melee on Glaives). This would DRASTICALLY shoot up it's usability... period
Severance Enclosure: Melee kills/finishers causes an elemental verb explosion matching your subclass.
Solar- scorch
Void- volatile
Arc- jolt
Stasis- shatter
Strand- Unravel
Mask of Quiet- ability regeneration scales with health bar as opposed to enemy rank, with full health to critical equating to 33% ability energy. Kills when critical proc restoration x1
Icefall Mantles: Remove jump penalty. Stasis shards rejuvenate your overshield.
Helm of Saint-14: creates void barricades inheritantly when using class ability. Extends over shield indefinitely when behind barricade until it's dispersal.
Precious scars: once every 2 minutes, you can pick up a team mate in PVE, without using one of your lives. Extends revive overshield to 5 seconds
Synthos: REVERSE GLAIVE SYNERGY NERF!!!!

I like your ideas but would change resto 1 on mask for devour. Its a void themed exotic and would be a new way to access devour for titans. Also icefall needs all movement debuff removed, itll be useless next to hoarfrost while it does
Have you used hallowfire heart? Especially with these double firebolts? That extra scorch would be insane given they already ignite target when directly hit with that one aspect that applies mor scorch. Also it is way better than hoil, 25% boost after using an ability with hoil, bs 75% boost without your super charged and 350% (!!!!!!) when your super is charged. Trust me, as if this season it does not need a buff
@@austinlind the scorch stacks with the sprite grenades is from the artifact. I use it all the time. Where HOIL has it beat (and I mean massacred really) is the damage increase for each ability used.
Ignitions go from a 23k damage average(in GMs) to 37k at x2!
So the scorch stacks will make it one of the best class oriented exotics...though indo admit the +20 scorch stacks for weapons may be a bit much lmao
@Colin Kwasnik I do want to like Mask so I agree with you(without putting much thought in). I would also like to add as im thinking of it, currently, void fragment giving devour on orb pickup + artifact mod giving volatile orb + void sword = exPLOsions!! And health regen 👍

Severance enclosure is actually really fun. You can build it to make tons of volatile explosions and use grenade and finisher mods to have constant weakening grenades

Precious Scars is my go to on anything solo on my Titan when I am not using Solar. Infinite ability to heal when you use weapons that match your subclass.

For anyone that's wondering about severance mentioned by cross. You can make a pve extreme survivability build. Volatile finishers, with invis finisher, with devour means super hard to die. Very fun for those that didn't know

Also it's a funny meme in crucible as the detonations will kill a full health guardian if they are standing too close. Got a team wipe with thunderclap once by killing two guys and their bodies launched back to the rest of the team and then detonated by severence, wiping out another 4.

Made a solar severance build recently. Not saying it was metah, but it was definitely fun in some strikes. Would it have been better if it was ashen wake? Yeah. But I've been using ashen like 80% of my time on titan forever now.

Everyone's sleeping on insurmountable skullfort in PvE and PvP. In PvE you can spam thunderclap and get your thunder crash in seconds. And in PvE you can shotgun into your shoulder charge to get it back immediately
Until you start playing high enough level of content that you can't kill with the melee at all. Then it has a huge drop of in viability.

You should do a tier list of how OP exotics have been in the past at their height of power.
Hard disagree on Stronghold's being F. Thing actually goes hard in GMs and is hilarious in PvP environments (excluding Trials ofc, due to heavy not being something you can keep for too long). I'd say it at least deserves a B tier ranking (though my personal ranking would be A).
I'd say Severance and Scars should also be B tier. Scar's squad healing capability is super underrated, and Severance can do some funny shenanigans.
Khepri's can actually be funny in PvP, seeing as there are a few walls you can shoot the waves through. Not god tier by any means, but cheese tier all the same.
Otherwise, I generally agree. I'd normally have more to argue, but the mod system changes really killed some of the builds you could do with Titan (especially my poor Mk44s). I do find it funny that generally a lot of the weak Titan exotics only need some mild changes.
A couple examples being:
1. Wormgod would appreciate a better buff duration (same with Warlock's equivalent)
2. Mask of the Quiet One technically isn't awful, it just doesn't feel impactful. It'd be neat if it functioned a bit like the "Wellspring" weapon perk, where it restores more ability energy if you already have abilities off cooldown.
3. Hoarfrost could be a lot nicer if it also made a bunch of "mini-duskfields", so nearby enemies get slowed even after the initial cast.
4. It'd be nice if ACD/0's also helped with damage dealt in close proximity to the user for PvE (against melee it actually blocks a lot, but it doesn't help against a point blank shotgun blast or a lot of stomp attacks. Tormenter's for example always hit through it).

Hahaha bro I’ve actually been rocking Severance Enclosure A LOT this season with my void builds. It’s really not that bad (PVE Obviously). After this season is over is another conversation entirely 😂 but for now, it’s actually really good with volatile and the new void fragment Echo of Cessation. Don’t sleep on it imo
This season I'm using a repulsor brace trace rifle, offensive bulwark and controlled demolition aspects with synthoceps. So killing something with volatile rounds gives you overshield, and while you have overshield, unpowered melees count as powered and will make orbs with the gauntlet perk, so even more volatile rounds and a lot of armor charges. Bubble for weapon damage and weakening grenades for even more damage against bosses. Synthoceps just help me one shot adds with the punch. Having an overshield improves melee damage and distance on top of synthoceps.
Edit: also each punch with overshield will cause targets to explode cause of controlled demolition. I stack with it another explosion from one of the fragments. Also Regnant, the new heavy GL, can roll repulsor + destabilizing rounds. It's not a meta dps pick, but it's a free overshield when killing adds lol

I’m not cross-referencing every pic I see to the exotic. It’s easy to edit in the video for people, instead of assuming people are going to cite external resources just to figure out wtf he’s saying.
It’s an easy thing to include, and would help. If you already know what they do from the pictures, the tier list isn’t really gonna help you is it?

Strand and Void all have defensive buffs. Solar have huge survivability with Lorely splendor. Arc has none of these from what I could tell. I use Prescious scars to get some healing after kills. With you ranking Scars so low what exotic would you recommend for Arc?
Crest of Alpha Lupi are pretty good for the healing on Barricade drop, surprisingly saved me a lot in PvP
I've been running Crest of Alpha Lupi since the season started. More orbs for allies when I cast my super, AND casting barricade heals me? It's actually pretty good.

Got a juciy 4 stack with Khepris. They bunched up like they wanted to be Cloudstrike memed, but they got the Horn.
I've also memed on players with Stronghold. Only great when you get those matches with fast Heavy spawns.

If im running void in Trials then crest of alpha lupi is my go to. I've one so many fights because they thought they could finish me off but turn the corner to me being damn near full health and overshielded.
I tried to use mask of the quiet one because it sounded like it might be good, but I don't think it actually did anything.
I still love my Quiet Ones mask. It was my first exotic, man🥺
Thinking Greaves are A tier, they are my fav exotic. Sadly don't work with the Darkness classes yet, but you can 1 shot some majors and that's not including Debuffs and melee buffs via Void Overshield, Roaring flames, or Weaken effects..
The push back on this list makes total sense with how many people struggling to do a lost sector lol
fun fact. In PVP you can kill a bubble titan in just a punch fight with ACDC fences... additionally you more or less win every punch fight. We all know there be punch fights for days in crucible
