@InnaSoloMusic To answer your question - James uses two guitars on stage with some of the songs that require him switching between clean (electro-acoustic) guitar sound and more distorted (electric) guitar sound. To be able to do this as smooth as possible he's got the electro-acoustic guitar mounted on a stand while being able to keep his electric, distorted guitar on him the entire time. :)

Metallica do not dissapoint live, well i only did see them once in 2019, that was on the Danish national fottball stadium(parken), and that was really amazing experince, a very good day with my younger brother..
About the two guitars: On this song and The Unforgiven song, he uses a acoustic Line 6 guitar for intro on a seperate stand, and it's custom pyrographed by Dino Muradian (he pyrographed 6 or 7 guitars for James).
They are my favorite band of all time! I've seen them 5 times including 3 times in the past 6 years. They are still kickin just as much ass live as they used to! So happy you are getting to see them! Enjoy!
I'm happy you will get to see them live. My brother wasn't into them that much but i bought him a ticket to a concert and told him he will be blown away by their energy. That was nearly 20 years ago (he's seen a lot of great bands) and he still rates it the best concert he's seen and he is still not a massive Metallica fan like myself. Have a great time!

Were they sitting there somberly, or cheering and singing along? I have been to a couple of Metallica concerts, and the crowd was just as rowdy during this song (along with One) as they were with all of their other songs. A lot of Metallica songs are dark subject matter, actually. People still enjoy them. Sheesh.

Yes I just did the 2 night no repeat at SOFI Stadium 8/25 & 8/27...EXCELLENT!! Paid hefty for snakepit for my daughter's 28th bday! Didn't care either! It was Worth every penny!! Amazing 👏 show! They're tight, chefs 💋

Sadly I haven't seen them live (I'm in South Africa and they have been here before, long time ago but I never had the chance). However just after buying my first DVD player I bought the 'Cunning Stunts' DVD (I think it was a concert from Texas back in 1997) and I always remember this song from there. Listen to the first 5 albums or so for sure. Kill Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ….And Justice For All, and the Black Album. Everything else is subpar to those first 5 albums imo. Also, I was lucky enough to have caught them live twice. Enjoy the concert!
I knew Inna would love this song, one of my favorites. I recommended a song on one of your other videos, but was going to recommend an additional one. My favorite Unforgiven song out of the three is Unforgiven 3.
Metallica is a great live show! My only complaint is they will do a lot of encores sometimes [I’ve seen them 6x]. So when they finish an encore you’re like “Should we go? Or do you think they’re coming back out again?” They might be different now. This was all in the 90’s. The one show, they encores there times. It’s cool that you get 3 extra songs, but like I said, sometimes you wait 15 minutes to find out that they are, in fact, done.
You're too cute for words. You will love Metallica live. You're in for a real treat. This is a song from back in the mid 80s that brought me into the fold. Don't get me wrong i loved 80s decadence. But they were putting a kabosh on glam at the time and that was valid. I loved all of the music of that era. But this song was so deep and held a message that glam just didn't at that time. I know you are Phone everything generation but if you can put your phone in the pocket and enjoy the show LIVE LIVE LIVE, take a few pictures before, maybe one or two videos but mainly, its your first concert with METALLICA, just watch the show LIVe not through your phone. That said enjoy, its f.... great :)
Been a fan since 81' I'm 59...a year younger than my boys! I've seen them 18x from 81' through out mid 97' then 5x n the 2000s 2x in 2014 n 2016 and I just saw them Aug 25th & 27th at SOFI Stadium 2023, they're AMAZING LIVE!! They are like youngsters once they have their instruments, just Remarkable!! They've got me through some very bad, dark times in my life. You're going to be Amazed at how great they are live! I do miss the times before phones, when the fans actually were engaged more! To me phones ruined the energy somewhat. Imo. But if you get snakepit or GA floor around the stage, there's more energy and just a better show. I spent a lot, but it was so well worth it!! I will see them again next year and anytime that I can!! I can't imagine life without them & I font want to! Btw.. I've seen them with 4 different bass players, and I even seen them in Los Angeles with their 1st guitarist (Mustaine) before Kirk Hammett. Crazy! I remember thinking this shits fast & aggressive...and I Loved it!! 😍 🎸🤘🤘💯💥
Congratulations on your ticket, I envy you that you will be at the concert in Italy. You have a large fan club there and Metallica performances in your country are always magic. Up through Justice, I was the biggest Metallica fan on earth. Fade To Black was my all time favorite song according to my senior yearbook (Testament's Musical Death (A Dirge) was the true #1, but I wanted my favorite band represented). BUT...in every live version, Kirk annoyed the heck out of me with his need to embellish the slower solos. They were perfect as recorded.
I’ve seen them live several times and during the Black Album tour I was extremely disappointed with the show not once but 3 times out of 5. Lars apparently didn’t remember how to play several songs from previous albums and it broke my heart. Now that they’re older I can’t imagine it getting better. I have been to one rock concert in my 52 years of living and it was Metallica in 2019 at Cleveland, OH. No desire to see anyone else. Can't be topped.

I've seen Metallica 5 times. From the Master of Puppets (Damage Inc. tour 1986) to the Black album (Wherever I May Roam tour 1991)

Fade To Black was my all time favorite song according to my senior yearbook (Testament's Musical Death (A Dirge) was the true #1, but I wanted my favorite band represented). BUT...in every live version, Kirk annoyed the heck out of me with his need to embellish the slower solos. They were perfect as recorded.

I’ve seen them live several times and during the Black Album tour I was extremely disappointed with the show not once but 3 times out of 5. Lars apparently didn’t remember how to play several songs from previous albums and it broke my heart. Now that they’re older I can’t imagine it getting better. Much love to you Inna your experience should be amazing for your first Metallica concert 🤘🏻💥🔥🙏🏻💯
