This year I attended two days of concerts in Warsaw. They still have it, they still captivate crowds and create magic, an extraordinary atmosphere. For me, they are extraordinary and so are their fans, from the 75-year-old I met to the 5-year-old who sat on his father's shoulders and sang many songs.
When I was in High School early ‘80’s, I came across Metallica in a record store. I got the cassette and listened to it non stop. I told people in school that Metallica would be the biggest band in Metal music. They all laughed and said “ yea right “. Do I need to say more ? 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ive followed metallica since mid 80s here in Ireland. I still listen to them everyday and most of their songs still give me goosebumps. Thats saying something. Greatest ever in my opinion. Utter living legends.
He ( Kirk Hammett ) has tape, because he goes so close to the strings with his hand every now and then that he rips his hand open.... So that is to prevent it from bleeding... I'm 60....and listen to Metallica since 1984...
They've gracefully aged like fine a fine wine which is a respect worthy feat of its own. Its really cool you've introduced your daughter to these guys they're messaging transcends the generations like practically other band and appeals to such a wide audience. I remember a comment about Metallica in some long ago documentary..."show me a 1000 different types of people and I'll show you a 1000 different types of Metallica fans".
in an interview kirk (the lead guitarist) said about the tape being wrapped around his hand, that his hand may bleed if he doesn't do it or something like that.
I wonder if The Warning went to see them, since they played in Mexico 😄Metallica was one of my first metal bands that I listened to, when I was about 16 or 17, which was in 2006/2007. I already knew Nothing Else Matters for a long time from the radio, but it wasn't until I heard Frantic and One (and especially One), that made me want to check out their discography.
I've listened... just not "watched" 😄 As I said, if I hear a song on the radio, Pandora etc...I just hear the same songs that I'm used to hearing. But I've been out of the "music scene" for so long that I'm just not up on switches or even new albums. Now, my best friend on the other hand, is a metal head through and through and has been to numerous concerts throughout the years. Unfortunately she's in Canada, so I didn't get to go to any with her 😉
i just listened to a recommendation because i watch your channel its BEATPELLA HOUSE - Candy Thief (Beatbox) its insane never heard of them before give it a listen in your free time
M.R., Kirk has cut his hand (pretty bad) on his guitar from playing hard in the past, so he tapes it to prevent that. I've loved this band since 1987 🙂
thanks for sharing ma'am ... if you havent seen anything new, do a twofer and watch the warning live @ the whiskey a gogo covering atlas rise by metallica, it is on their channel ... namaste from canada ... r0ck 0n ... twa ... \m/
That’s just one example and one reason that these LEGENDS and TITANS in all music are the best band ever 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
🤘👊
Dear Mrs Realistic, i love you, and i love that you're "throwing it back" to the good ol days!!!
I miss the good old days, that's for sure 😊

Yup, it's been about 37 years since I was introduced to them! 🙌
Can’t believe it’s been a month already 😬😬 I was there for all 4 nights 🤘🏻😬🤘🏻
what night was best?
Need the end to set me free. 🖤🖤🖤

FAN4LIFE 🔥🤘🏽🔥
Metallica4ever 🇩🇪💛
They used to start every show with " The Ecstasy of Gold " by Ennio Morricone . I wouldn't think that would change .
5:55 that tape protects Kirk`s hand from being injured by the strings
That makes sense! I was thinking that afterwards!
Amazing, this song came out 38,39, years ago they're second album
Metallica Brasil ❤
amazing band
The guitar Kirk plays is the legendary "Greeny" by Gary Moore and is worth over $2 million.
Oh is that it? 😆👍
GOAT

Thank you! 😁
A woman of my heart, God love ya!
Thank you! 😊
@ your welcome.

It helps to keep that part of his hand from being cut & bleeding when he palm mutes.
That makes so much sense. I was thinking that might be the reason.
I saw them both nights in Chicago in September...here's the setlist

My 14 yo kid says hes best song is Fade to black. So I also feel that I have acheived something.
😄 Isn't it funny?! We feel like we're carrying on the torch of great music to our kids!
You should check ride the lightning at México city from that tour, the energy was unreal 😎

Exactly what I thought!
Robert has been in band for 21yrs lol. I think jason was in band for 15yrs. It has been awhile since you listened 😅😅
