This right here. There are cables right under there for this purpose. Also cables in under the trunk seat that allow for usb charging in there as well.
I bought the charger and the relay for that. This is accurate AF! I also used the extra accessories cables under the back seat to power my led underglow. Never have a battery issue because of it.
Another essential mod would be frame sliders. Will save you money if you ever drop your bike just making a slow U-turn, prevents the fairings from being scratched. Another mod I've done for mine is the bigger double bubble windshield, makes driving on the highway a lot more comfortable. But all in all good vid, also looking to buy a QuadLock mount for my Ninja400 with the wireless charger, heard its good.
@@jordanpayne8144 can’t post links on youtube comments, but just search for “double bubble windshield ninja 500” and you should see some online, there are some comparisons, it’s a little bit taller than stock and you can noticeably feel it on the highway
Good video but whoever reading this please don't just "turn your head" no chance you'll be safe esp on a 400. Ur not faster then everything out there and most importantly can you see behind you at intersections and red lights to see if someone is barreling down on you not paying attention? Some one explain how you do that while also looking forward with no mirrors. They look cool don't get me wrong but it's no brainer I'd rather give myself every chance to survive the idiots out there then to look cooler.. I hate when people BEG others to buy these then follow that up by saying "they are 99% useless" your doing a disservice to riders safety man. Again they look cool and great video over all and I get it to an extent but if you value your own safety then give yourself every advantage to make sure you can get back home to those you love. For the record I just subscribed to your channel not trying to be a "hater" we get enough of those in the comments I know. I just feel strongly about this is all.
Dude- I cannot freaking believe you’re telling people that they should remove the factory mirrors and replace them with “99% useless ones” on a beginner bike. That’s reckless- really really bad advice! Just turn your head? Wow.
I have this exact bike, bought it a month ago it’s a 2021 only 32 miles on it. Dude scratched it up but not to bad but he could never got into it. Thank you for the tips and good video I’m taking some of these and doing it to my bike ✅💪
Yes, I second that comment, I have the ninja 300 mirrors, shorter and looks good, and you a better vision than the stealth mirrors. Just my opinion 🤓👌🏼👍🏻
I’ve done a windscreen, LV 10 slip on, tail tidy, radiator guard and put 300 mirrors on. Oh I took the reflectors off for a more clean look. I’m thinking about taking off the chain guard and lil fender. I also took the feelers off the pegs.
i recommend tst industries quadrex leds. I get daytime running brake lights, brakes and sequential turn signals. Looks amazing. Its bright. And makes you more visible to silly Florida drivers.
Nice LQQKin' Bike.... lime green on dark gray is sharp & I don't use cell phones so I can skip all that stuff, opting for other items. Thanks for the video. peace
Ohh, I don't criticize the phone users, there's so many of them that I don't need one. I'm saving me money now to buy a bike. Looking at Dual Sports & I've got 10-12 that I've priced & figured all the MOD's to each bike I'd want/need and how much the parts/labor are on all of them. This post purchase ideology is mine alone as I've not heard of anyone else comparing in this manner but I had time as I save money so why not learn all I can. In the event I buy used I'll know what's what on each model but this little 400 streetbike is one of a few that I do look at. Prices are great for a new one & the used market is really good as you showed here. But for me to ride this bike I'd have to slap another set of handlebars on her. I'm too old to sit like this to ride. I appreciate the video & I'll see you soon, I hope. peace
@ yeah the bike is great. I don’t know if you’ve sat on one but it’s in the middle between a sport bike seating position and a naked bike so it’s a good in between. Quick enough to take most cars to 60/70mph and great on the highway! I sold it due to space reasons (apartment life) but I’m itching to get new bike next year
Nope, I have not sat on one so I do not know what I'm talking about here..... lol, but I'm honest about it. Ahh, well the speeds would have been a question & one of my biggest as I research bikes. I just subb;g, you got lots of video stuff to see. off to do that. peace
@@mrmyme you can’t see anything really so unless you speed everywhere to stay up front LoL you won’t see the guy behind you about to rear end you. Yes the aero when flipped down is neat but that’s on needed at high speeds. You will hate them if you want real mirrors.
I second that, those blade mirrors came with my 400 and were less than a year old. I thought they looked very cool when I first saw the bike. I only had to ride a mile in traffic to hate them. Number one they do not stay put (even after tightening them up), and number too , the magnification is way off so the car pretty far away is huge. The mirrors are small so it is critical how they are aimed and then the slightest bump moves them. They take up so much attention constantly messing with them, you loose attention with the road. They suck big time. Don't rely on just turning your head. In close quarters you will rear end someone.. Just use ninja300 mirrors if you think the stock ones are too big. Magnification is spot on and they stay put. you can fold them out of the way and when you pop them back its still adjusted correctly. Next that USB port, can be wired into a connector right behind where the socket is installed. There is an optional relay that is installed next to the flasher to power that connection when the key is on so you don't accidentally leave it on and drain your battery. You can get the relay on eBay or at any Kawasaki parts house. You can see several videos on how to install it on UA-cam. Rockmount approved! Tail tidy and LED signals. Spend the money and make sure you get bright signals. Don't compromise on brake lights and turn signals, people only have a split second to figure out what you are doing, your life depends on it . . . And if it flashes too fast just get an LED flasher (instead of splicing in resistors), it is way cleaner. i put super bright LED bulbs in the front (remove the bulb and get an LED from Auxito the same size), way brighter than stock or the ones from TST.
Yeah this muffler looks ugly idc what anyone says. Cheap? Yes. Sounds great(according to this guy) personally no I don't think so. Get an Akrapovic, Leo, Yoshi etc. I got a Delkovic and enjoy it for the price.
i wouldnt get them at the start, especially because he mentioned that they're 99% useless "just turn your head". When it comes to seeing whos behind me and my bike looking a tad bit cleaner, i think there is only one logical answer
Don't wire your charger to the battery. Wire it to the 12 volt accessory port that is just under the left hand fairing at the front of the bike
This right here. There are cables right under there for this purpose. Also cables in under the trunk seat that allow for usb charging in there as well.
Correct!

Can you post link to the windshield you're talking about I just got a ninja 500 for highway travel to work.

Yeah I understand! Might try running bar end mirrors next time and seeing how those are
I'd rather just not have mirrors at that point. There's charm to the stock mirrors imo.

I have the exact same charging port. I've had it for like 9 months now and it's still kicking. Love the 400.

i would refrain from getting blade mirrors tbh, OEM mirrors look good
They're just so big and hang up rather high
That's so you can see doofus. They serve their purpose.
@@superduperkid3143 yes I'm well aware why they're designed the way they are 🤣
I replaced them with the 300 oem mirrors. They're like 30$, work and are shorter than the oem 400 mirrors

Those mirrors will get you hurt
Looks over function I guess
@lIlIllIlIllIlllIllIIIIIIIIIlII that's a pretty vital function to sacrifice
100% making a video now about exactly this. Hate this need to update mirrors. Function over fashion
Yeah was gonna say, those look so useless.
Use R&G exhaust hanger to delete the foot pegs includes a blanking plate for the opposite side of the
You can get a relay that sits next to the flasher relay for the usb port I think
Links to mods plz?
U need tank grips my boi they are a game changer honestly the first upgrade needed
Do you got any rec's? Can't find a good pair of them for my Ninja 250

how did you paint your bike
was going to get a akraprovic exhaust for my 400 but decided wasn't worth the money so got a amazon exhaust, definitely worth it👍
