I have a 300 as my first bike going on 5 months. I take it on the interstate about 22 miles commuting to work and it rides really smooth at 65mph. I need to invest in a windscreen haha and I’d feel super comfortable. I’ve topped it out at 90 going down hill on the interstate and obviously uphill it has no pull. I wanted to take it on a 6 hour trip but it’s not made for that. Not saying it can’t be done but there are way better options. It’s a great first bike Learning how to maneuver and getting the basics down. I do want a faster bike at times but it prevents me from making stupid decisions and having big tires are a plus learning to turn. I’ve also have ran over a large rock or two the size of my fist in the middle of the road and they have helped me from not falling. I yearn for a sport bike though because they sound so good and that’s mostly the kind of bikes that I see where I stay. My biggest thing is sometimes I love the way it looks but then sometimes I just think it’s ugly. I bought it for how low the seat is because I’m a smaller guy but once I get comfortable and confident in my skills I’ll upgrade in time. That’s my experience along with everyone else’s. Ride safe! rislone and cataclean only works for carbon build up but if catalytic converter fails it wont work

You can tell he’s a new rider he cant talk normally while riding he needs to focus on the road more then talking so that’s why he’s repeating things and stopping talking here and there

Idk if you're still dealing with this but I figure this is worth a shot...valvoline restore and protect...a few people have had decent results so far with it cleaning varnish off at the very least so overtime it should help with piston rings plus marvel mystery oil every oil change until the consumption either stops or minimizes to a tolerable level...currently doing this with my 2016 vw golf 1.8 tsi...I changed pcv and consumption went from quart every 3 days to 7 days, then did liqui moly proline engine flush eith oil change and consumption went to 1 quart every 18-22 days, then I did another oil change and alternated every top up with marvel mystery oil and 5w40 and consumption is now 1qt every 25-28 days...now just started with valvoline restore and protect and will be topping up with marvel mystery oil every other top up. Goal is 1 quart every 30-40 days which I can live with

Stuff works. I got a P0420 code and couldn’t pass emissions. Dealer wanted $4k to replace the catalytic converter. I got some CataClean for $26. After about 100 miles CEL disappeared. I passed emissions later that day.

If you take your WJ back into the dealership you will get a free trailer hitch. The structural enhancement is due to rear-end collisions that is right where your fuel tank is so they will give you a hitch to protect you

I have also owned one for a year and I got to say it leaves too much to desire. I ride it to university a few times a week (7,000 miles in a year) and it has to be pinned at 8k rpm, 6 gear on the highway. It does not have thrilling speed. Even slower when carrying a passenger. It is a small bike in person. It has had leaking issues. It is easy to ride and inexpensive but that might be the only redeeming qualities. Moving up in bike soon.

Good video but whoever reading this please don't just "turn your head" no chance you'll be safe esp on a 400. Ur not faster then everything out there and most importantly can you see behind you at intersections and red lights to see if someone is barreling down on you not paying attention? Some one explain how you do that while also looking forward with no mirrors. They look cool don't get me wrong but it's no brainer I'd rather give myself every chance to survive the idiots out there then to look cooler.. I hate when people BEG others to buy these then follow that up by saying "they are 99% useless" your doing a disservice to riders safety man. Again they look cool and great video over all and I get it to an extent but if you value your own safety then give yourself every advantage to make sure you can get back home to those you love. Just asked for a quote and both State Farm and Geico want way too much. Who’s the cheapest. Geico wanted 600$ a month and State Farm 205$. This being said I’m over 25 with no tickets or accidents.

Once I passed my bike licence my first big bike was a GSXR400, then I got the ZXR400 and was blown away. Not rode a bike in nearly 20 years and planning on getting another early next year and its going to be the Ninja 400, maybe the 40th anniversary edition as that's the bike I had but this new one looks so sweet. I remember it wasn't happy until you hit 5k rpm and then the power went like "Right lets ride"
