JUST FYI for everyone. Your insurance will NOT be that cheap if you get true full coverage... There is "full coverage" available for that range BUT you will not have uninsured/underinsured motoriest, or any medical payments if you are injured... It typically wont cover any aftermarket parts or gear either. JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT. MKE you should check your coverage... and talk to your broker... The biggest fear of being in a accident is getting hurt, missing work, disabling yourself in some way... and if you leave off these coverages you ARE at a very great risk.
@@mkecarconnection3808 mine is also true full coverage. the coverage is a quite a bit more than your and cost me $237 annually. not sure if it's state and/or year a person is motorcycle endorsed. I have been riding since I first got my license with a clean driving record. I'm not near 50 and I also carry a CDL license.
This was a very accurate video on the costs for a 400, I loved my 400 and it was pretty much spot on - I got it new from dealership. Just upgraded to a zx6r and it about doubles the cost of everything you've mentioned.
I have a 2022 KRT one. Got it brand new from the dealership. I thought I was going to regret not buying a MT07 as my first bike, but it turns out it suits me very well, damn good bike and I learned a good deal with it. But I do think I should move to a naked bike (I have an injuried lower back) so the MT07 will surely be my next bike.
Thought about officially getting rid of my gaming set up and buying a grown up toy. I’m just stuck on 300-400 or 600 bike. Uncle started on a 600 and said he completely recommends it but their prices can be steep
So you've done a great job of breaking down all the CO$Ts..... lol, are you really riding in shorts? I'm asking b/c I could share those CO$Ts & how they are "compounded" if you happen to do a botanical study of the asphalt or undergrowth? I've been there -n- done it & it sucked in major ways = all wrecks do but I hope you never find out. Skin is thin, mine was & then it was gone. lol, great review & I kinda like this little bike. Just cheap enough that you can just ride it w/o worry. peace man
i'm sure not all dealerships are like this but i tried the same thing and they said they won't finance for anything less than 5k so where im at you can only put 1k down if you plan to finance.
@@BrianKim-cz1jx hey man im thinking of getting a used bike. do you recommend private sellers on sites like cycle trader or craigslist etc? im pretty much a newbie so im not sure how to check if the bike is functioning properly before buying it.

So I think I’m gonna get the 400 but I live like a mile down a dirt road. I’ve looked at adventure bikes but they just don’t got what I’m looking for. You think it’s worth to get one with the dirt road issue? This would be my first bike btw.
i love this vid super useful thanks! i wanted to get a car im 17 but the thing is insurance is 300+ a month where i am so im like why dont i just buy a bike kinda worried abt that though im a 4'9 little girl 😂
You can tell he’s a new rider he cant talk normally while riding he needs to focus on the road more then talking so that’s why he’s repeating things and stopping talking here and there
If the stock exhaust and ABS breaking system alone are about $5,000.00 you should know that the bike should sell for about $11,000.00,,, and no it's not a beginner bike or a commuter and the velocity stacks alone should tell you that it's not a beginner it is a 400cc class. If you don't believe then ride one and full throttle the full 28mm twist and see how it pulls like a 600cc, most riders never full throttle but think they do.

Yeah my coverage is true full! I have it set at 10k for medical and 25k for underinsured/uninsured. I also have tow included as well!

I love the sound in the garage! It’s loud but incredible!
I was hoping you were going to talk about regular maintenance, replacing tires oil and brakes etc…
In the short time I’ve owned it, it didn’t need any maintenance!

his 600 was probably equivalent to a modern 400. if you started on a 650cc it would be like him starting on a liter bike back then
I had a 2020 I THINK and the clutch always burnt out . I wasn’t burning it though. Fun bike. I’m getting a Yamaha r6 probably some time next year
maybe a defective slipper clutch

Y not just buy a older ninja 400 u might be able to get one for 3-4k, but it’s ur money I can’t tell u what to do

No maintenance costs? Tyres? oil? brake pads? chain? spark plug?
I haven't had to do any of that to it yet really. Just an oil change which I did for about 30 bucks and another 20 for chain cleaner and lube
@@mkecarconnection3808 oh ok, how long have you had it for now?
@@RiyuXDs year and a half. It's sitting at 3k miles
spark plugs are like a couples bucks, tires are maybe 300 or so, brake pads are pretty cheap like $60 total for oem pads, maybe even lower.
How you pay so low insurance ? You own the bike? Not full coverage?
Just save the money and buy it used if its your first bike
That's ways the best option versus financing!!

The 400 would be good as it’s on the smaller end of sport bikes in terms of physical size

How was your credit for 5%apr?
It’s excellent. The markets been all messed up the last two years and interests rates are through the roof

is the exhaust stock?
No. Amazon shorty exhaust. Made a video on it :)
It cost more than you think.
