Have 5k on mine. This is a "perfect" 1st bike. Enough to get the adrenaline pumping. But still 80mpg at 50 on the interstate. Black and red with the black wrapped in holographic black chome.
ayy yessir just bought a 40th edition for a secondary bike, solid torque easy daily rider pus she still comes up, fire video brodie, got a full header and map 2 tune from tst recommend flashing ecu can get up to 135(ish)
@@MotoTSJ yessir of course. pointless to flash an ecu without a full system waste of money imo, and im currently running a full custom header system made by a friend (full titanium), over 15 pounds weight saved just from that, with an akrapovic carbon exhaust, and the tune i went for was the TST industries stage 2, dont remember how much i paid but its on their website, full build im a couple grand in but the tune itself was about 300 bucks i believe not including shipping costs, high;y recommend modding the 500s, was already a good commuter but its a little more enjoyable now for sure (also have a zx14 with similar modifications)
Performance wise, there is no difference between the 400 and 500. I got the 2023 model, wanted something a little easier to ride than the zx6r for a daily commuter. A few things you can do to get a bit more pep out of them. Get a slip on exhaust, got one off of Amazon for $60 and the baffle removed, no need to buy the $400 leo, it doesn't change the sound one bit. Replaced the velocity stacks from graves for $100, I also did an ECU flash and now you have a 130mph bike with quite a bit more overall performance.
I love this bike, I really want to do a ECU flash soon, my dream bike is a zx6r or 10r in a few years from now. Need to continue to get better! Thanks for watching!
@@MotoTSJ I am a long time rider, have owned many bikes over the years. I currently own a mint Honda VFR Interceptor, a 2024 ZX6R and a 2023 Ninja 400 with quite a few mods. It’s a great bike for sure! I can’t wait to get a faster one in a few years, that’s after I get more hours of practice on the bike still. Yeah I don’t use the app, pretty much doesn’t work.
The used ones were almost the same price as new ones in my area. I just wanted to have a piece of mind knowing my first bike was great, plus warranty for the first year or two. I got this bike for 7.2k. About 100 a month for 24 months. , insurance full coverage options (plus a few extras) is around 50
Not to criticize, but he says it has a lot of power. For The price range it does pretty good but I wouldn't say it has a lot of power it is. Lightweight handles good. It's a good commuter amount of power. But if you're. If you ever ride a six hundred and see a line four or anything bigger than that you're gonna find that bike does not have much power comparative
I just put a deposit on one yesterday. Although I was calling dealerships everywhere and hopefully it arrives. The colour scheme looks awesome and the rims on the 40th anniversary SE
It should be available, I’d contact your local dealership to get some information on it if so! Congrats on the gear and ride safe once you get your bike! Great choice!
Just got mine a month ago, do you have issues with the gears not shifting? I only have a few hundred miles but it seems like the gears stick sometimes, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Shifting is still foreign to me even after my MSF course 😅
@@VEXYLEXImaybe you're not pulling the clutch in completely, or when you shift, you dont do a whole click, but more of half a click. Let's say you're trying to shift from 3rd into 4th, you pull in the clutch and when you shift, dont shift hard enough so you go like in between 3rd and 4th gear. Sorry if you still cant understand, my english isnt that good
I'm guessing you're new at this, so a few pointers. Make sure you got your foot at the right position, also make sure you fully pull and release the clutch. New Bike? Keep this in mind, even though they say break in period is 500 miles, don't wait till you hit 500 miles, most of the break in is stuff will happen in the first 200 miles, so change your oil. Replace the oil with full synthetic made for motorcycles, you have a wet clutch, so the oil needs to be good.
My 500 is still being broken in. I feel like it screams around 4k because I haven't adjusted the RPM indicator. I wonder if my SE will have a different sound after the adjustment.
@MotoTSJ update on mine I changed the indicator to 6k at the recommended interval and now I can rev it more the bike settled into speed / gear at higher mph better than I thought. Lol babied it too much.
I do daily this bike, maybe one day a week I will drive my car to give her some love lol. I drive 12 miles to work and this bike is just fun to cruise around on!
