Sorry for the late reply, time really flies! It sure hasn't felt like five months. Due to living in Europe, I had to start off on a 125cc motorcycle. I lucked out and got one for super cheap and rode the thing every single day. There were good times, bad times and amazing times but with it I've now got enough skills to move onto a bigger bike! I bought a 2009 Yamaha FZ-6, which is just awaiting insurance before I can go and ride it. It's been quite the journey!

Just went through all that 2-3 weeks ago. The main thing the class told me was that I need to practice, particularly tight u-turns. I have a deposit down on a motorcycle that after I have a couple of parts installed, I'll have delivered to me so I don't go on the highway/interstate right away. I'll be practicing in my neighborhood and local park parking lot and then advance to commuting to work once I feel comfortable enough. That Ninja 400 would be a great complimentary bike to the one I have on hold.

I just turned 14 years old and I've been wanting a motorcycle (a Kawasaki Ninja 400) for probably over a year now. I'd definitely recommend this video for the people who have no idea how to operate and drive a motorcycle, such as myself.

Great video guys. I'm re-learning to ride after many moons. The bike is bigger and I'll be riding in a city with notorious traffic. I know formal training is not optional. Like with water (my first love), I have a healthy fear and respect for the power of motorcycles.

i just bought this exact bike and color for my first bike. took an msf course years ago and just got my permit to learn and get my license this year. cant wait to start learning.
My first bike was a 2007 Ducati Monster Testastretta and when I tell you I watched every riding motorcycle possible.. and here I go again, after not riding for over 7 years.. butterflies..
mannn thank you for this!! i’m looking to get a starter bike… and i’m going for the venom x22r max cuz of how it looks and the price for brand new and starter bike and looks like a ninja bike still… i like riding bicycles over driving but of course bike riding for long distance is not a energy saver… and i just work, gym and home. so this will help me learn how to adjust to a motorcycle the minute i get on and learn the basics then the rest is up to my disciplined mindset and enjoy it and not ruin this good moment in my life… those last words you said at the end is what im teaching myself… adapt and improve in my life… i feel like this will help me become a better person to understand more patience and awareness…
I really like the wobble concept when taking off. I just snagged a bike and I have ATV/DIrtbike experience (more on ATV). I spent 10 minutes in my driveway and the rest on the road (Live on a dead end, small town, rode atvs/dirtbikes on road my whole life). So my first time experience might be different and more ballsy then others. Though I plan on getting some practice in a parking lot. Very helpful!
This is invaluable. The first time, I had brought all my gear and bike from a dealership at 5 pm. Then, rode through peak hour traffic. It's wasn't the smartest or safest.
watched this because my bf went for business trip with our car and i needed to go somewhere on the nextday. I know how to ride matic and semi-manual motorcycle, but dunno how to ride manua. This tutorial helped me a lot. I learnt for 2 hours then the next day just go to the street already. Glad everything was good.
I got a gearless motorcycle recently (looks like a bike but the control mechanism is that of a scooter). I hope to try and get familiar with a proper gear based bike soon. This video was very helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this! Im starting my BRS next month and im so scared/nervous of dropping my bike and making a fool of myself because I know next to nothing about how it operates. So again, thanks!
5:56 this was a very expensive lesson for me to learn, and such a simple step. even if it's a brand new bike, give it an extra kick to ensure it's secured before you start to let the bike down.
I would love it if these beginner videos explained the difference between a car clutch and a bike clutch…. Coming from a manual car I’m used to getting off the clutch ASAP instead of slipping it to get going like you can on the bike.
Thank you for teaching us how to use a motorcycle. I'm looking at getting a Suzuki gsx 250 to learn on but I have no idea how to ride, nor do I have people to teach me. I'm only looking at motorcycles because I'd love to ride, but the gas prices are horrendous nowadays so I'm hoping to get a motorcycle to learn on soon. This has answered a few of my questions on how to get started to fingers crossed I now have a better time learning when I get there.
Plan on getting the BMW r19 cafe racer as my first bike, Fast enough to have fun with and I've heard that it's pretty good handling, Thanks for the inspiring video.
I am actually going to be taking the msf class in October and the rider's course at the end of October. I didn't know what to expect, and I like that this video was available. Now, I'm not so anxious about what we'll be doing when we actually mount. I just pray they have a small bike for me cause I am short, 5ft. I have sat on honda rebel, and kawasaki Vulcan and those two bikes were the only ones I could comfortably get on and into riding position. I haven't seen any 400's.. maybe I will look around and see if I can touch the ground on that. Thanks for your video.
This was really informative, i'm feeling really confident now. I taught myself manual on a car and would like to avoid that again. It was really rewarding but i'd rather just start with knowledge this time haha
thank you yammie this video helped me buy a 17 r6 from the dealership and make me look like i know what i was doing even tho i have never rode a bike like this ever
I just used UA-cam to learn how to ride and practiced for a while then went to the dmv on my bike passed the skills test easily and had my endorsement since and that was 3 years ago, helped that I started on a Kawasaki z400 great learning bike
UK here. Started at age 12 in 1977, a Honda C50 in farmers fields, small roads between fields and the village i lived in. then a bike with gears and clutch, by the time i was 16 (road legal in UK), i had many thousands of hours riding bikes on and off road. i found road legal riding really bloody easy and passed my test 1st time. lots of fun for us kids when we was teens.
V similar here, 1974-77 went from FS1E to CB250K4 then CB750/4 K2. Totally natural back then, full of confidence, Now getting back onto it and zero confidence BUT the tip to practice for at least 2 days is great ie doesnt make me feel like that is abnormal so will be doing that. Years of driving cars takes all the natural balance/skill sets away, though the one thing that remains is to watch the road surface all the time and treat every other road user and pedestrian as a complete idiot.
I appreciate getting these tips and what does what because im currently taking practice and tests to learn about using a motorcycle before I start officially driving one
I spent $500 on a course and got nothing out of it. They made me so nervous that I put it on the back burner. This is the best teaching ever for an ADHD person. I feel confident watching this. 👌🏿👌🏿👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

My first bike was a 2007 Ducati Monster Testastretta and when I tell you I watched every riding motorcycle possible.. and here I go again, after not riding for over 7 years.. butterflies..
Could you tell me how to take a msf course? Is it like an online thing or do you take it in person?
mannn thank you for this!! i’m looking to get a starter bike… and i’m going for the venom x22r max cuz of how it looks and the price for brand new and starter bike and looks like a ninja bike still… i like riding bicycles over driving but of course bike riding for long distance is not a energy saver… and i just work, gym and home. so this will help me learn how to adjust to a motorcycle the minute i get on and learn the basics then the rest is up to my disciplined mindset and enjoy it and not ruin this good moment in my life… those last words you said at the end is what im teaching myself… adapt and improve in my life… i feel like this will help me become a better person to understand more patience and awareness…
This bike color looks absolutely amazing,
Thank you so much! This is the best video I have ever seen. I have been wanting to get me a bike. Again, thanks again.
This is so detailed man, thank you so much
Still trying to learn how to ride with a Kawasaki Z125. This is a very helpful video. Thank you guys.
Thank you for this introduction to motorcycle controls and basic to riding. It was very informative.
Dude just bought my first bike and this is beyond helpful before my MSF course! Thank you.
Thanks for this guys. I was super nervous about the learning process but this has put me at ease.
Love how you guys explains everything in detail
As someone interested in learning to ride these vids are much appreciated, thanks.
Amazing Demonstration! Simple and to the point ! Awesome! Looking for more on this channel. Love from India !
Thank you so much for this! Im starting my BRS next month and im so scared/nervous of dropping my bike and making a fool of myself because I know next to nothing about how it operates. So again, thanks!
Mini little update! Passed the course perfectly, and I now am the owner of a cbr 600rr!
I wish I could feel that special excitement getting on a motorcycle for the first time again. Ride safe eveyone
Can we get a video on how to properly wash a motorcycle?
My MSF course is literally tomorrow this is so perfectly timed
5:56 this was a very expensive lesson for me to learn, and such a simple step. even if it's a brand new bike, give it an extra kick to ensure it's secured before you start to let the bike down.
I would love it if these beginner videos explained the difference between a car clutch and a bike clutch…. Coming from a manual car I’m used to getting off the clutch ASAP instead of slipping it to get going like you can on the bike.
You can slip off the clutch ASAP on the bike too, its just not recommended for beginners.
Glad y'all did this tutorial with this exact bike I just looked at it in the Killeen motorsports on Wednesday.
I just picked up my first ever bike at 20yrs old, Kawasaki 500r! Trusted family members are going to help me learn, plus msf course in the spring!
Trusted family members
Dsmn wish I had me one of those
Absolutely fantastic video!! Makes me much more ready to learn on my own bike. Thank you
Plan on getting the BMW r19 cafe racer as my first bike,
Fast enough to have fun with and I've heard that it's pretty good handling,
Thanks for the inspiring video.
Got my first bike!! This inspired me even more to get my first bike an picked me up a FZ6R 600cc and couldn’t be any happier!
A honda grom might fit you
Did you pass??
This was really informative, i'm feeling really confident now. I taught myself manual on a car and would like to avoid that again. It was really rewarding but i'd rather just start with knowledge this time haha
I'm trying to get a bike asap when I'm older. It's been my dream since my youngins lol. Watching this to get prep for the future.
26 years old. Just bought my first moto. Husky TE 450 I am so pleased with it
thank you yammie this video helped me buy a 17 r6 from the dealership and make me look like i know what i was doing even tho i have never rode a bike like this ever
This is by far the best beginner tutorial I've seen so far
What are some drills that can prepare us to be better riders? How to get moving is easy, but driving with traffic is another thing.
When I was a boy machines like this were classed as being mid-sized.We learned the basics off road on 100 cc two strokes. We learned a lot.
Because of your channel I came back to riding a motorcycle...thanks Yammie!
I loved the part about *Power Walking*. I'm completely a newbie so this really helped. Seen many other videos so far but just loved it here.
I just used UA-cam to learn how to ride and practiced for a while then went to the dmv on my bike passed the skills test easily and had my endorsement since and that was 3 years ago, helped that I started on a Kawasaki z400 great learning bike
just had my first bike experience today ..so this tutorial just hits different😩 cant wait to get my own
Great video, I am on the fence of starting to ride and this was very informative.
This is a great video I’m in the market for a bike and I didn’t want to get one without knowing something this was super helpful
I appreciate getting these tips and what does what because im currently taking practice and tests to learn about using a motorcycle before I start officially driving one
Yammie, just wanna say you inspired nothing but confusion and fear for me. Thank you!
There's a lot more that goes into it than I thought! That's a great looking bike too
I spent $500 on a course and got nothing out of it. They made me so nervous that I put it on the back burner. This is the best teaching ever for an ADHD person. I feel confident watching this. 👌🏿👌🏿👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
