I agree for me 48 hours with Eddie murphy and this classic are amazing movies, both where action packed with laughter, and both original with nice friendly endings
I agree too. Bust-a-gut funny. The entire cast from Grodin and deniro to John Ashton and Dennis Farina all shared a chemistry you don’t see in film anymore. I’d bet these guys all loved making this movie and it truly make the movie just one of the 80s best!
At the risk of sounding my age, they CANNOT make action movies this good anymore. Die Hard, lethal weapon, 48 hours would have you laughing, cheering and enjoying yourself for a good old statue day afternoon. Ah, the good old days!
So many marvelous scenes in this film. The daughter clip, the watch segment, all brilliantly acted set pieces. And a pleasing finale to wrap it all up. A comic tour de force!
Many people link him to Beverly Hills Cop, but for me, this will always be my memory of John Ashton. What a movie, so many highlights. The Litmus Configuration, the cigarette thieving, Farina's outlandish threats to his henchmen and Mad Marvin. DeNiro will be remembered for his ruthless gangster movies, but for me, the two best acting roles of his whole career are The Deerhunter and this almost forgotten comic road-movie.
It is look like the bridge at the Salt River Canyon in Arizona. It is a walking bridge now . Has a bridge next to it for vehicles. Amazing location, love going through with a big rig.
It has another glaring flaw...the ending depends on Jack having failed to thoroughly frisk The Duke at the beginning of the picture. As an ex-cop and experienced bounty hunter Jack would have made sure John was clean
@@jamesstuart3346 ya, i'd be lying if i said that it never crossed my mind. however, at that point, we're on a high & a low all at once, & it just kinda works. frisked him in his bathroom looking for a gun. after all, the guy's an accountant, he's not gonna shoot you, just hit him with a rubber hose... thanks for the reply. see u in the next life.
Huh, didn't know the guy behind this gem was the same twisted mind behind Beverley Hills cop... no wonder it was so freakin awesome! As to the description of the movie debating between the by-play or the action being better, I say - Why not both?! See you all in the next life!
Can't remember the number of time i watched this movie or parts of it. Only now, i noticed that the helicooter goes behind the rocky mountain thru the right side of the road but goes up to welcome the car thru left side of road. Hiw can that happen ?
I never get tired of watching this movie. The greatest
I love seeing Sargent Taggert as a bad guy! He's great in this !
@@GisherJohn24 😲 MARVIN! 👊🏼💥🥴😑
When I watched midnight run and saw Marvin I was like.
IS THAT TAGGERT???! Lol. This is one of if not the funniest film ever
@@GisherJohn24Marvin's not a bad guy he's just an antagonist. Serano's the villain of the film.
same here
Charles Grodin, Robert De Niro, and John Ashton are comedy gold together in this, the greatest buddy movie of all time.

Thanks, Charles!!! Say hi to Dennis Farina and Yaphet Kotto. I bet that special St. Bernard is waiting for a long walk up in the sky.
You totally do, one of the Greatest Comedies EVER made! :) De Niro and Grodin at their absolute best!

One of the best 80's movies. RIP Marvin.
I remember at the time of the release a movie critic saying this was going to be a soon forgotten film. WRONG!
Attila709 this film is forever
Critics are pinheads at times! If they even hinted that this was a THUMB DOWN then their IDIOTS! This movie was awesome!
RIHP Dennis Farina, John Ashton, Yaphet Kotto & Charles Grodin❤❤❤❤

R.I.P. John Ashton. Many thanks for the Film's....
Charles Grodin’s sequence of facial expressions at 1:48 are golden.

RIP John Ashton
Such a classic. Marvin, look out! 👊🏽
"You all right?"
"Yeah, fine. I'm enjoying it."
LOL
The look Deniro gives him when he says that is priceless. He almost breaks character
Just watched the clip for the umpteenth time. Can’t imagine Marvin asking the duke that. So bromantic
RIP Charles Grodin
De niros face at 0:26 when grodin is shouting at them both is hilarious!!!
George Gallo is a genius. This script is amazing
"I'm sure we're completely safe." LOL
Great line
I'm enjoying it.
😂😂😂
R.I.P Charles Grodin!
I just found out he died I'm sad, great actor the coach trip was another of his films I liked RIP
R.I.P. John Ashton
MARVIN..wham!! Lol.
Rip john Ashton
this masterpiece has only one flaw... the amount of times that marvin & the duke get knocked out cold with just one punch.
It has another glaring flaw...the ending depends on Jack having failed to thoroughly frisk The Duke at the beginning of the picture. As an ex-cop and experienced bounty hunter Jack would have made sure John was clean

“Oh I’m sure we’re completely safe...”. Lol!
Was in a situation where we were a stuck in an elevator where I used this line. One guy knew I got it from this movie.
RIP Charles Grodin

2:52 MARVIN!!!! OOOFFF!!!!
Hugely underrated Movie.
RIP Charles Grodin 😢
" MARVIN” 👀 👊🏻🤛🏻👇🏼🤣
I love car chases like this (especially ones that involve helicopters)
I love the Duke's face at 1:49! Priceless stuff!
I keep trying to find someone named Marvin so I can scream "Marvin, Marvin!"...
5 people can't even deliver a bottle of milk😀
I still scream MARVIN to my buddy
🤣🤣
Sad to hear of the death of John Ashton.
besides beverhills cop....one of the best movies....and a picture on the wall.
"They're not after me.... Just kidding, just kidding" hahaha this film is full of such brilliant subtle lines like that
This is where I learnt to take down helicopters in GTA V.
2:11 to 2:16 is the best part 😂
RIP Charles Grodin.
Enjoy the ride boys! Lol! Dizzy yet? Lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just watched this movie with my parents and my dad named our cat Marvin because of that guy
i couldnt believe Deniro was already 45 years old in this movie.. looks like still in late 30s
And Chuck Grodin is 53 here!
RIP James Grodin.
the greatest helicopter crash in film history
I don't know if Grodin improvised "Warvin, or if it was a missed blooper, but either way, it's just adds to the hilarity!
I thought he said "Watch out with the truck"!
@@yokandbkai I'm referring to 1:32. "Give him a gun, Warvin". lol
@@mortb9 I heard Grodin said "Marvin", Lol
Marvin!!
John Ashton ( Marvin); RIHP❤
Never would expect a Movie with Jack Byrnes, George Newton, and Sgt. Taggart! yeah Characters they played in Different Movies!
At least two De Niro characters matched the name "Jack"
Best action movie EVER!
RIP charles
MARVIN!!!!!
Keep pressing at 2:51
🤜😖😑
I know Im getting old...………..when this movie came out I was 23...…………..now Deniro looks like a young man to me...……………..Im the older man now...……..
Is it me or does Marvin look like president Ford without makeup
2:00 there goes 100 grand!
"A hundred?? Yeah how much was he gonna pay you? 25. Oh!! SONOFABITCH!!!"
yeah that Helicopter crash is in SaltRiver Canyon Az..(Little Grand Canyon)

Can't remember the number of time i watched this movie or parts of it. Only now, i noticed that the helicooter goes behind the rocky mountain thru the right side of the road but goes up to welcome the car thru left side of road. Hiw can that happen ?
The Odd Couple....with fists

This and Beethoven I think we’re the must funniest Charles ever did RIP! man!
Always check the evidence lol
0:58 grodins face hahaha
2:30 Just like in GTA V
Great shooting! Where did they hire that bum?
Poor marvin.
Marvin thought he was so smart… 😅😅😅😅😅
😂
This movie made me what i'm today. A couch potato
i always remember that shot.
"MARVIN!"
De Niro should have used his left fist at 2:51 to Ashton so he would have both cheeks bruised
Bobby shooting that helicopter could've been deadly on Charles Grodin's character. It could've land right on him.
Ultradude where's Eddie Murphy and billy?
"Marvin!" SMACK!
Make Whipdick Great Again!
0:38😂😂
2:01 Hahhahahahahahaha!
There goes 100 grand!
This scene should had been called 3 bulletproof men!
Something better than the Adam Sandler and Damon Wayans movie Lol
The silly saxophone music
Sgt. Taggert before he went to Beverly Hills
lol classic scene
My favorite movie ever I think 🤔 Godfather Ii, Rocky, and Goodfellas are close...yeah I’m not 🇧🇬 Italian 🤔
Don’t make them like this anymore
Maginoong Barumbado be like
The bounty hunters are terrible BUT the shooter is even worse. Yikes! Anyway. Great cast :-)
