Synopsis:
Get ready for a gut-busting, outrageous comedy from the guys that created Shaun of the Dead. Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is a big-city cop who can't be stopped - but he's making everyone else on the force look bad. When he is reassigned to a small, quiet town, he struggles with this new, seemingly idyllic world and his bumbling partner (Nick Frost). But their dull existence is interrupted by several grisly and suspicious accidents, and the crime-fighting duo turn up the heat and hand out high-octane, car-chasing, gun-fighting, big-city justice in this hilarious hit critics are calling "Outrageous! Uproariously Funny!" (Thelma Adams, US Weekly).

This movie, which is a parody of action movies, is unironically one of the best action movies I’ve seen
I think it a homage then parody since it clearly love action to make good action.
This happened with Galaxy Quest, which is such a perfect parody of Star Trek that it is widely considered to *be* an honorary Star Trek movie.
That's how you know it's a good parody
You have to wonder if they set out to make a homage to buddy cop movies and made the best one ever by accident
Amen
Nicholas may be playing into every "loose-cannon" trope, but you may notice he still carefully tries to avoid killing anyone.
Even on a rampage, he's still the perfect cop.
To be fair the shotguns are probably loaded with rubber slugs etc. They are gonna hurt like hell but they likely won't sustain any long term injuries.
@@hammer1349 No they aren't rubber, they are weapons he takes from the evidence lockers at the police station after they raid a farm full of guns and ammo. They also bleed when shot dude.
I love the detail of instead of giving him the cliché M16 or AK47 he has the FAL, the assault rifle used by the British before the bullpup rifle they use now
L86
That makes sense, because the weapons were confiscated from that farmer who trimmed hedges and were most likely to be ex-army surplus.
@@azimisyauqieabdulwahab9401L85 is the rifle L86 is the heavy barrel light support weapon.
Technically the fal would be the British cliche
The interesting one is the only firearm that is American made is the m21 scoped rifle. All the rest are British, German or Italian made.
The FAL british, the sten and the Enfield are all British too.
the twin PPK James bond pistols. Are german.
The shotguns are Italian bernelli,, the M9 Beretta are Italian.
I have just recently watched Hot Fuzz. One of the best British comedies of all time
Aaaa
¹¹¹¹1¹¹¹¹
Actually a action spoof comedy
.A😅😅😄😄
It is so good so is Shaun of the dead.
Mindless shooting, action hero cliche, things blowing up, over the top violence. Brilliant. Perfection. Hot Fuzz is easily one of the best movies ever made, period.
Couldn’t believe the doctor is the baddie from Mask of Zorro, the priest is the baddie from Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Timothy Dalton is the baddie from The Rocketeer. A whole village of cinematic villains.
Dalton was also James Bond.
@@miltontavares9506 and Rassilon in doctor who another British staple
And a timelord @@miltontavares9506
And Frank is played by Jim Broadbent who played Roy Slater the baddie in Only Fools and Horses.
Which baddie from Raiders the lost Ark?
My God, every edit and camera angle in this film is perfect. An absolute masterpiece.
6:00 the Bad Boys camera turn I LOVE IT
I don't know how many times I've watched this film, must be dozens, and it's the first time I've noticed that the barrels fall off a lorry from 'Cascade Drinks Ltd'... This masterpiece just keeps giving.
So what 'Cascade Drinks Ltd' mean? How it can be relate to Professor Moriarty?
Everyone rightfully mentions how funny and badass this shootout is…but can we focus on Danny’s monologue for a second?
“Mum is dead, Dad. For the first time in my life…you know I’m glad….if she could see what you’ve become….I think she’d probably…kill herself all over again. 😢”
That is GD heartbreaking! Like…holy f***! I mean that all as a compliment, this film pulls off these emotions so effectively.
Damn, that line struck me in the heart!
Nick Frost is so underrated. The awe on his face when he sees Sgt. Angel riding in. It's everything Danny's ever dreamed of in policing and Frost kills it!
Joyce: Fascist!!!
Angel: Hag!
The part where she's letting the assault rifle rip and her hair is moving accordingly is the best part of the scene.
They need to make another movie together
Agreed. Maybe one day, eh? Each movie was basically a spoof of a certain genre (Shaun of the Dead for horror, Hot Fuzz for police films, and The World's End for sci-fi) so they'd have to do something along those lines (maybe spoofing superhero films?)
I love that’s the good luck Sanford sign is above Angel as he’s riding in. Like good luck fighting this guy lol
Now this is what I'm talking about: Gun Fights, Car Chases, Proper Action and Silt
Police work is not about proper action...or Silt
@@Starkiller5121 Been waiting months for someone to get the reference 🙂
@@Luxord5294 my favourite is 'Peas and Rice!'
@@Starkiller5121 Always been partial to "Pack it in Frank you silly barstool" myself
A great action comedy. Simon Pegg is a genius. For another of his great comedic movies, I suggest Sean of the Dead
And “The Worlds End”.
I dis agree.
"Shaun of the Dead"
Such a comfort these movies are ❤️
I recently watched the Cornetto trilogy and still really great. Nick Frost is so good in Pirate Radio aka The boat that rocked.
Another film with Bill Nighy!
And with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman
Him yelling Jesus Christ as if he's never said the name before in his life is absolutely hilarious and amazing. Might be the sharpest joke in the movie.
Technically, it's using God's name in vain. Given he's a murderous priest, it tracks.
@@HisVirusness I agree with you and it's deeper. He basically NOW found God, and wasn't really in touch with what he was preaching all this time.
@@Tripp393 Nah, I think it was just a flippant "JESUS CHRIST" on his part. Not paying enough attention through all that murder.
@@HisVirusness Nah you missed the clever Edgar Wright humor.
I don't get the impression that he found God by saying that? He wouldn't say Jesus Christ if he found God because it's taking the Lord's name in vain.
Surely it's funny because it's incredibly ironic for a priest to exclaim "Jesus Christ!" and it's a complete "mask off" moment (that started with fuck off grasshopper) he's shown his true colours.
5:58 Angel: You a Doctor, Deal with it
Danny: Yeah MuthaF***a🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Danny, let's roll!
Rev. Shooter is Belloq from Raiders of the Lost Ark! 😂
Heh, Belloq said "Fuck off grasshopper!"
He is also Ivan Ooze.
I've seen this movie for Years but never realized the twins at the station were played by Bill Bailey. Freaking Bill Bailey and HOW DID I MISS THAT?!
If you're talking about Wainwright and Cartwright, they aren't. Paddy Considine and Rafe Spall play them. Bill Bailey plays Sergeant Turner
@@Darkreign1 There are two sergeant turners.
Nobody tells you nnothing, I see...
@@Darkreign1 One Sgt Turner mans the desk during daytime and his twin brother has the night shift.
"nobody tells me NOTHING!"
I love how they all randomly have guns with them 😂
It's a call back to an earlier joke one of the Andy's makes about everyone in small villages owning firearms more than in big cities
And they are all in custom foam. I didn’t pick up that detail when I first saw the movie.
everyone and their moms are loaded with guns
like who?
farmers
who else?
farmers' moms
Hardly random. Normal in the countryside
Everyone & their mum's 😂
Another Edgar Wright masterpiece
I have seen Hot Fuzz many times and it’s just an amazing film in fact it’s actually one of my favourite films of all time Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were amazing in this film that’s the reason their my favourite actors and their the reason why this film is the greatest and by my favourite film of all time
Fun fact: It's a Winchester 1300 dropped on the ground at 5:46, and whoever the technical advisor for this movie was, they did a great job. The Winchester 1300 is not drop safe, so it going off when it hit the ground is extremely accurate.
"We're going to the Winchester!"
That's brilliant, I just accepted it went off and never questioned it!

Hello , how’re you doing.?
@@azimisyauqieabdulwahab9401 hello
That’s gonna be great then ..
The most underrated film of all time. It is completely overshadowed by sean of the dead but don’t make a mistake, hot fuzz is a cinematic masterpiece.
Hilarious and action packed. Love this movie!!!
1:46 Morning! It's Showtime!
This scene right here has better directed action than any Michael Bay film 😂
How ironic since one of its primary influences was Bad Boys II
And most modern action movies.
Wish this had a Sequel.
Nah, it’s fine as it is. It was a self contained story that was finished with at the end.
I have watched this film a million times, yet after watching this clip now, I only just heard that slot machine sound at 6:24 which is also in Shaun of the Dead when Ed wins big at the Winchester hiding from the zombies 😱
Just great. We need this kind of Hot Fuzz in our country....
6:00 In French he says something like "You're a doctor, you can heal yourself" which imho is funnier.
Wooden furniture on the SLR as well, class!
Can probably strip and rebuild one of those in the dark even now after all these years.!
A man of culture, I see. 👍
The poor level of musketry he exhibits however would have got him beasted around Beckenham ranges by staff sgt Thompson for a week.
A team levels of missing the target,
( 4” group on the 400 m range on a good day got you a thin smile).@@jimmyrustler8983
The gat of Kings
It's a shame they didn't make a sequel to this movie, Simon and Nick are both bad asses I don't care what anyone says
On moms account, Don't be to sure about that, I've heard somethings about hot fuzz, and that was that both Simon and nick were interviewed that if they were ever to make any sort of sequel movie of any kind, Ive heard that it's possible that HOT FUZZ could be the one to get the Sequel, So it could still happen!!!!
"And god I loved this movie, this and shan of the dead!
The best part of watching these clips is finding another gag I missed in the comments. 😆
"Check out his horse". Im 💀
Rodger that...
Somebody has to get word to Simon Pegg. A clip from this movie is being used in a training course by the Texas Commission On Law Enforcement for legislative updates. It's in the transportation code section. I find this hilarious.
OMG! The shootout scene from Heat 1995 is used in US Marine and Police training courses specifically noting Val Kilmer's reload on his M16.
I still love how Nick Frost/Danny says ‘yeah motherfu**rrrrrr’

Perfect allegory of small town politics.
The Cornetto trilogy is awesome👍
Fabulously funny film, I watch it often and still lol every time.
Never noticed the old guy take the shell to the face until today
The bad boys spin is iconic
First time I saw this I was like. “This is the most American British film ever.”
4:02 The grandma who using sten really caught my attention.
6:23 - That sounds similar to the Inspector Gadget theme song.
One of the best films of all time
Simon Pegg And Nick Frost Vs The Evil Villagers
Loved this movie.
Una de las mejores películas de la historia de la humanidad 🗿
While this isn't my favorite movie from the Cornetto Trilogy it had great scenes and comedy. Great movie
Great movie, great scene

6:27 Like Bad Boys & Police Story franchise
My favourite part of this movie the whole movie is good too
1:47 Nicholas Angel: Morning!
It's showtime!!!!!!
Hysterical! Laughed so much, actually cried! 😂
I’m sorry but Jim Broadbent with roaring lions playing over him will never not be funny
I love this scene but hate the fact the SLR is fired like once then never used again. not even by the other police officers
This might be one of the best movies ever made
I like that Frank uses a pair of Colt Navy revolvers, harkening back to his love of cowboys
I think this one was my favorite one out of the trilogy they were all pretty good but this one was the one 👌 Narp 🤣 and there is something you don't have a great big bushie beard
Over 300 cuts in 9 and a half minutes, somehow not entirely incomprehensible to watch.
I really need to watch Hot Fuzz again
An action scene with bullets flying everywhere, but nobody appears to get killed, brilliant.
There's a girl in the garden
-Ed from shaun of the dead
"HE isn't even from round here!"
"Actually Sir, geographical origin should play no part in ascertaining someone's trustworthiness"
I hate the fact he shoots one bullet of that nato rifle and then drops it and uses his shotgun😢
Just watched a very violent shootout but NO NAUGHTY WORDS!!!
The amount of references to Shaun of the dead are amazing
😳Literally just watched Shaun of the dead today😂 anything from the shop?
Cornetto
Erm a Cornetto
Couple of American tourists just decide to drive to the village and see this happening. They'd go home telling everyone it's a lie, the Brits are armed after all!
6:26 “Have you ever fired two guns whilst jumping through the air?”
This gave an American action movie a run for its money
This movie is so good. 😊
Best of the trilogy

It's not a STEN It's a Steyr Solothurn.

I love how the plot points get resolved at some point.
'mr treacher. Whys he got a big coat? He cant be cold, why the extra layer? Maybe he's trying to hide something'

Whips out a lever action style shotgun from under his coat.
Ohhh thats what he was hiding under there. 😂
We need Hot Fuzz 2 now!
its the first time ive ever heard Wells called a village...
Underrated flick.
Best movie ever ❤❤❤
5:06 all power rangers : well done Danny you shot Ivan ooze in the shoulder
Danny : this is for zordon .
5:08 lmaoooooo Jesus christ!!
The best thing about this movie is how Angel tries to spend the whole time teaching Danny that being a cop is a serious job and not like the movies only to do this big fucking action scene and spout cheesy one liners
9:12. Why in the world did they put the MGM lion roar in here?!
No one shooting in this scene could even get a job as a Storm Trooper.
Somehow I don't feel bad about watching this British action movie on the 4th of July. I think the ghost of George Washington would give me a pass.
In retrsopect, I don't know why I didn't see this turning into a straight action flick. More fool me.
