- I finally finished both of the 75 gallon tanks, which means I can get the frogs moved over soon. Once I do I can finally get started on my new schemes for their old 40 gallon tanks.
I'm very excited to add this one to lineup and can't wait to see MJ in it! I really think he's going to enjoy the new paludarium. It's intentionally very similar to the previous. He made good use of that one and this is basically a larger, perfected version of it.
Even in the 2-3 weeks the tank has been setup the plants have really grown. I think that letting them root in and establish first will make all the difference in having success with the plants. Otherwise I'll most likely have a repeat of last time.

Tanner, in MJs old 40g, can you PLEASE, do a turtle tank, I have really been wanting you to do one.
Edit: I think a mud or musk turtle might look cool and they can live happily in a 40g

@@kodavulpedrius6712 fire salamander (salamandra salamandra). Super easy to keep, quite a common species in Europe. I have him since he was larvae.
@@oposum244 Wow thats awesome. Id love to own salamanders and newts myself, but Im in south africa, and here in cape tow, laws on exotic pets are VERY strict (which i understand). Ill stick to reptiles for now, I can atleast I can keep anurans.
@@kodavulpedrius6712 well, to be honest, you don't need exotic pets, since your country is full of amazing wildlife which is considered "exotic" here in Europe. However, I hope that you will somehow get to keep a salamander/newt someday!
You care and love that frog a great deal just as you do for all living thing in your care. Their comfort and happiness is first and foremost and that is extremely honorable. I enjoy the fact that you see the animals living in your care as companions rather than just pet that belong to you and how you meticulously ensure their comfort and happiness while creating something visually appealing. I truly appreciate the effort you put into every post and thank you for sharing this amazing portion of your life.

U said MJ really appreciates the coverage, and for good reason. American Bullfrogs are burrowing frogs, so they need a place to burrow during the day. A hiding spot is ok, but they really do prefer to burrow in substrate.

I'm a newer viewer here. I would like to see more on animal care and the tricks of bio-active setups. Thanks for showing me what I was doing wrong in growing moss. I added charcoal and a false bottom and gathered up some from the wild. I'm planning on starting with moss plantings and working my way into bigger things. I've done terrariums and beta bowls in the past. They weren't that great. Thanks for showing me how to make them more beautiful and take better care of them too.
Looking forward to seeing him added. I love the builds, but I really love seeing the animals in their new homes. Waiting expectantly for those videos.

Nice build! We have hundreds of these guys in our pond every year and thousands of tadpoles too. Our ponds main predator is our alligator snapper but we like to keep the frogs happy so they can keep him happy

Cool frog! Obsessed with reptiles and amphibians since about 7 years old! Once caught a frog the size of a dinner plate! He peed on my hands (of course) and successfully escaped! There was so much more to learn about the species...lolz Peeing as a defense sure wasn't mentioned in my reptile and amphibian encyclopedia!

Considering that you are growing and your office is being filled with tanks, you should start a custom tank business ( like with the scaping and all that) you could travel and make vids on it so you still keep your channel going and you keep your space.

I have 2 northern leopard frogs. I plan to upgrade them to a larger enclosure (they are currently in a 5 gallon because I was only supposed to have them temporarily but they are now my permanent pets so I want to upgrade). I think this video will help me out. Since American bullfrogs and leopard frogs live in similar places, I would imagine that they have similar requirements.

Hi Tanner, amazing enclosure as always! I'm planning on realizing something similar for 4-5 fire bellied toad.
In the meantime I would like to see how you do a bioactive arid environment such as for a leopard gecko!
MJ and Samson are my fav animals on your channel. Still anxiously awaiting your darts. I really appreciate your continual plug on non-recommendation of keeping American Bullfrogs as pets, the choice of reptile, amphibian, or even insect should be carefully considered not only for human lifestyle, but the animals requirements...and basic needs in my opinion is not good enough. Great video.
