  • I was finally able to finish the first of two 75 gallon paludariums I recently added to the lineup. I'm really excited about this one and think it turned out great! I know Samson is really going to enjoy the extra space as well. Like I said in the video, I want to let the plants grow in and establish prior to adding him. Although he didn't ruin the plants in his current setup, you never know with these frogs. They have big personalities and don't care about how the scape looks lol! I'll follow up in a few weeks.
Also be sure to check out the original video if you missed it. It's a little more DIY oriented if you prefer builds like that.

A huge thanks to Universal Rocks and Sicce for hooking it up with this one! Like I said in the video, I received the background and filter for free, both of which really helped make this setup awesome. I've liked them up below if you want to learn more. Again, I don't receive any compensation for talking about their products.

Sorry for the late upload today. I lost power last night and had to finish the video this morning. I would have been done before yesterday, but I've been juggling a lot of big projects (this being one of them). Can't wait to show you what else I have in the works. Hope everyone has a great day/weekend! Also let me know what I should do with Samson's old 40 gallon once we move him to this one. Planted tank, paludarim, vivarium? You tell me!

absolutely stunning! I have rescued a frog once that was on the verge of death (dehydrated and very skinny, was laying on the road) and nurtured it back to health with the help of an expert an released it back into a nearby pond that has a lot of frogs. Since then I have been wanting to get a pet frog for a long time. This video is very inspiring for me to make a similair thing in the future. Great work :)

Absolutely LOVE IT!!! I originally found your videos when you uploaded his first enclosure. I was searching around due to purchasing my own AFB on how to build paludariums and it was love at first craft! I've used your videos to help create all sorts of set ups for my frogs turtles and even aquascape a huge goldfish tank. Dude your videos make my family and I so happy. Plus this is great inspo for a new tank for my bullfrog since hes roughly one now

Hey Tanner; so, I got my Pixie frogs shortly after your first build for them, and it was what introduced me to your channel. Well, we just bought a house and their tank cracked in the move. Lo-and-behold; the timing was perfect as you had recently done your update!
Finally starting our build now that the rest of the immediate house is unboxed. Will be referencing your water features videos for our own pond once we get through this Chicago winter.
Just wanted to say thank you, for all you do!

That wrapping of the plants with the geotextile fabric is a great idea for planted hermit crab tanks! Even when they pull them up they are less likely to destroy them completely and they can be replanted easily.

I used Syngonium in a leaf toad tank a few years ago. Within six months the entire 18X18X18 cube was packed with Syngonium! Additionally, there are lots of colorful cultivars for anyone who chooses to brave this aggressive terrarium plant. I'd love to see Tanner incorporate some Vanilla in this enclosure. It' get's huge but it is much more manageable than Syngonium and Pathos long term.
    Cheers,
    Chris

When you own an adult male of this species the enclosure has to be incredibly robust. Tanner's learnt from the last setup and improved on it to make sure it both meets the needs of the animal and is visually appealing.

I wish all of our reptile/amphibian/fish owners cared and put as much time and effort in as you do. Sometimes it's a fight to get people to put their animals in the bare minimum size requirements and here you are, making full gorgeous setups for them all. You're solidly an example of what pet ownership should be.

Thanks for showing a method for definitively determining what glass is tempered after the last video. As someone who may one day not be afraid of cutting glass, it'll definitely help.
As a side note, I'm not a fan of the look of faux rock, but given the size of a 75 gallon and how much it would weigh and cost to use solid rock, I'm all for it.

Love this build, having seen all the bullfrogs out this year, it looks just like a slice of wilderness that you'd find one in. Sometime I'd love for you to do a difficult terrarium for say a ball python or animal that likes to unintentionally trample plants, just to see how you tackle that problem (I've tackled it by picking hearty plants but they aren't the most aesthetically pleasing xD )
