Just because the tank is broke doesn't mean it can't be fixed... or something like that lol! As always I hope you enjoyed the demonstration. What do you think of the final product and what else would you add to the tank?
Excellent simple aquascape. Also, I love how fish always flee in terror from a net, but then when you put the net in the water to release them, they're all, like, "No! I want to stay in this nice safe cozy net."
I actually enjoy keeping a planted cycled tank without any fish. It is great for treating I'll fish or just quarantine. And since it is only half full most of the time , it is a massive green paludarium.
I addopted mine betta from friend who rescued 30 bettas from shop, where they were living in plastic cups. And now all of them have great homes. Mine of course have tank inspired by SerpaDesign
Would really love to see a maintance and cleaning video on your tanks, and how you care for such a large number of tanks and animals, as always the build looks amazing keep it up !! :)
SerpaDesign in 20 years from now... Serpa: "First, I needed glass for the aquarium. I drove to the beach to get 5 gallon buckets of sand, which I then super-heated to around 900 degrees and melted it into glass..." Me: "You realize you can go to a store and buy that right?" Serpa: "For water, I simply collided hydrogen and oxygen together to create my own H20..."
As someone who works at a pet store that sells them in little cups to people who buy the cheapest things possible for their bettas this makes me happy. Every single animal in captivity deserves the best natural environment for them and every single pet I have I go full Serpa on it because this man knows how to raise animals. Good fucking job! Thank you for treating these animals with the care they deserve.
Screw you Tanner. Just when I thought my brand new Betta aquascape looks good, you come out with this video! I wish you had made this a few days ago so I could take some inspiration and techniques from what you did here. Looks amazing, as always.

Beautifully done… I would be interested in a video on how one maintains and cleans tanks with bio-debris as it breaks down over time. Thanks for all your hard work. Beautiful scape!
The eye you have for detail is impeccable. The huge stump is awesome. I keep saying this but your gonna be huge and have your own tv show. Love this tank!
this must be my new favourite scape of yours, the shallow tank, those beatiful pieces of wood and stones placed in a naturally harmonic way, just perfect
me when i ruined a tank: Nooooooooooo!!! My life is destroyed! Tanner when he ruined a tank: Yeeeeeeeees!!! Now i can build an amazing new tank! really beautiful build btw
I think the overall looks nice but I think the adding of the dead leaves and stuff will eventually just rott and make your nitrate-level go sky-high. Plus you could start the filtration process with cottonwool so the first small pieces of debry will be filtered out
My family have been keeping fish now for 3 generation. My grandfather on my mother side, had 10 tanks in his home, keeping Oscars and Discus. My dad, he was the treasurer for the Royal Aquarists Society in Leicester back in the 1970s. And now there is me. Currently have a small 10 gallon, though I am looking to upgrade to a Fluval Flex 123l. Your tanks are amazing, just wish I had the money for one. :)
I like the scape. Needs some terrestrial moss on the drift wood sticking above water, maybe in a collar shape around the waterline. A group of 6 kuhli loaches, and 6-8 CPDs. Could also use some watersprite/Indian Water Fern as a floating plant, and some java wendelov fern on the central driftwood. Some Malaysian trumpet snails would also be a nice addition.
I really like your style. Certanly you like natural landscapes and I love the way you spread some "dead" forest material, lika leaves wallnuts. Love it.
Your eye for composition is incredible, it's a skill you've truly honed in for the past few years since I first started watching your channel, your latest builds are legitimately the most beautiful terrariums/aquariums/etc I've ever seen!
It looks great! I feel that pygmy corydoras would go really well in this scape with the botanicals. also, what if you scaped a tank for serpae tetras and called it the "serpaesquad" :)
I'm so happy that you realized how special the female betta is and decided to keep her alone. So many people do betta sororities, which is just a disaster. People never give individual females the chance to show that they are just as personable as the males.
Honestly I think I like the females more. I had an absolutely beautiful little blue girl named Cinderella and she just had so much personality and sass. She loved it when I would listen to music near her tank and her favorite decoration was a fake alligator skull I had in the tank. She would hang out in the eye socket and it made it look like the gator was lookin at you, lol. I was extremely upset when she passed away.
I love the scape, looks great. How ever you've set up the filter incorrectly, theres no flow to where the media (lavarock) is. The segments between the segments should be staggered, so on the second section of corrigated plastic the plastic partition should start at the bottom not the top. The way its set just now, the water in the lavarock chamber will remain stagnant. Anyways Love the videos, Your scapes always look great, I would really enjoy seeing and getting to know the planning process of how you concieve the scapes. Watching you build them is amazing, but how can I go about building something so great. Just watchjing you build and maintain scapes is good, but after the 200th video....
Yeh I think that too, but I also thought he would know so must of done it for something like, on the bottom part of that lava rock will get any biological filtration

I am so thankful that you did the terrarium video with AntsCanada last Christmas, without that I would have never came across your channel, or maybe I would have, but it wouldn’t have been in time to watch this video. Ive been wondering how to build a fairly big tank to be able to place it as a surprise for my mother, thank you for this video, it was exactly what i needed to be able to figure out what im going to do.
I love that you made this from scratch with recycled materials. The end result is beautiful! Love those wild type bettas as well! I finally added neon tetras to my betta's black water tank, and I love the contrast their colors provide.
The stress stripes on that poor girl when she first got home... :( So glad you guys have given her such a lovely home! It looks like she could be an alien hybrid, in which case you could add some more shrimp due to their more peaceful personalities, but in a 13 gallon I’d definitely hold off on any more fish. I think bettas really flourish with a lot of their own space, and tetras and/or bettas can get nippy with each other if crowded.
This was be as dutiful! I wish more people would feature Betas in beautiful tanks. I love the plants and botanicals that you put in. The Beta is beautiful. I'm sure he loves the tank too. I would also add some micro fish, neon greens, rice fish ect.. I like them all. The shrimp were s nice touch and will be fun to watch.💜😍🦎🦐

Your the best terrarium,aquarium maker
i love it! depending on the grow out i bet Ellie would love some more bushier plants around the back and maybe even coming up along the sides too!

I would add some cory catfish or somethin like that prefferably a bottom dweller

It's a beautiful design, as are your other designs. The botanicals are what make this design for me. Makes the tank feel like a natural landscape.
Looks good! Maybe you could add some Ember tetras (if they can live with bettas)
I think the color of the embers would suit the tank
They could work for sure!
Not a big enough tank imo. You need a 10 gallon minimum and thats pushing it. 13 is too close to the min for a low maintenance tank
I think the overall looks nice but I think the adding of the dead leaves and stuff will eventually just rott and make your nitrate-level go sky-high. Plus you could start the filtration process with cottonwool so the first small pieces of debry will be filtered out
I was thinking the same thing! A pop of red would really compliment the scape and add a lot of interest.
The betta probably wouldn't bother them. I think the female especially wouldn't.
