I've been more excited for this than actual Star wars
I totaly agree!
Same...lol
Same!
This has better special effects than the real Star Wars :p
Nowadays, this IS the actual Star Wars. Acolyte finally broke my heart. Felt like I finally had to bury something and let it go.
"I'll miss you" *misses her shot*. I see what you did there
Grand Joke!
Hope the exertion didn't burst a vein.

Evil is always stupid. You have to be stupid to keep being evil, after all. It always catches up with them eventually, although they usually make sure a bunch of others go down before they do.
"They stopped cloning bodies, but they started cloning the minds, and somehow that's worse." Man, what a line. Loved this episode!
Famous last words:
"This would be a great place to dispose of enemies of the Empire, SIR ! Like that little girl from earlier !" ... He really shouldn't have said that.
I'm wondering when, or if TK-FKU deserts to the rebels.
It’s no doubt that he’ll defect to the rebellion considering that speech he had about being another cog in the machine and him killing that trooper.
@@HenryLouis21 Well, they already met the rebels.
Spoiler alert: They are exactly the same.
all that guy had to do was keep his mouth shut for One more minute
I could see it. I just hopes he gets annoyed by FNG and 069 one more time before he does.
Maybe he already did... we can't assume this story is from an omniscient POV, after all.
The way that TK-FKU was so clearly unsure about his plan, and almost went back on it, before being suddenly and violently convinced by the cold monstrosity of his compatriot’s words, is honestly incredible storytelling. His hands were even shaking as he went to drive away.
Shaky hands,just like Crosshair

That last scene with TK-FKU hit hard. The uncertainty, the hand shakes, all to exhibit real emotion. Absolute masterpiece. I love this series more than any other post prequel stuff.
He stopped himself because he wasn't a monster, but the troopers next words MADE him one
"Shouty Trooper" is an awesome character. It would be a shame to waste him.

Holy shit I just realized Shouty is the dead stormtrooper shown in the Book of Boba Fett when Boba crawls his way out of the Sarlacc. I love these references to the main episodes and big series.
Also, I died at "... TK... 4Q2".
The idea that Boba Fett got out of Sarlac was taken from the EU. It's not a fact that this is a reference to the series
@@vladlenvolkov9034 it is, in fact a direct reference to that scene.☠
@@DALLASBARNETT you and your team are seriously the best thing that happened to me Star Wars-wise for the last couple of years, along with the Obi-Wan miniseries. Keep up the great work!
@@DALLASBARNETT What makes you think this is a reference to the Bob Fet book series?
Every old fan knows that Boba got out of sarlac as it was written in books and comics
@@vladlenvolkov9034Dallas is actually the voice actor for FKU. Part of the production team, you know, that sort of thing :)
Goddamn Sarge’s speech was so good! Really captures the mentality of having a faceless army, and also has me wondering if not seeing the stormtroopers a people has done wonders for Rebels morale too?
I think this is why the whole Call of Duty "operator skull mask" thing is considered a bad idea by some military personnel. In missions where you're not supposed to really be seen, it's pointless vanity. Nobody is really getting a close look at your sick Stormtrooper drip in a firefight. In roles where you are seen, it makes you look like an unlikable asshole. It's nothing more than pure machismo that's actively detrimental to you. For PR purposes, you want your guys to just look like people.
That is why they wear those helmets.
In lore they are supposed to look like that inexhaustible force, outside of ut they are dehumanized so tye heroes don't get stained by killing millions of them.
Same reason the prequels had droid armies.
I got your like indicator to 69. My job here is done. You’re welcome.
In all reality most of the rebels are there because they've witnessed bad things the empire has done and the stormtroopers are already duhumanized to them even if they didn't have helmets. Its actually the entire basis for rebellions because its essentially shooting your neighbor Steve and witnessing Steve commit unspeakable crimes kinda makes it alot easier to shoot him in the face.
@@prind142 its not the entire basis for rebellions, plenty of rebellions have not had the current authority committing unspeakable crimes.
This series is quite literally life support for Star Wars! Well done!!!

I know everyone is saying this, but it's true. This is literally better than Disney Star Wars.
It's very good, but there is also good Disney Star Wars. Andor is superb, Rogue one is arguably the best Star Wars since return of the Jedi, Mandalorian was uneven, but where it was good it was superb. Boba Fest had it's moments of awesome, though overall I didn't think it really worked. I haven't started watching the Acolyte yet (I prefer to wait until a show is entirely released), but people I respect for their taste say it's great. Are any of them the equal of the very first movie? No, they are not, and I speak as a guy who watched it in the first run in theatres, but I also recognize that what made it great was the fact that it was a new universe, a style of film that had simply not been seen before, and a magic inflation of developments in visual effects that made telling a spectacular story through visual language uniquely powerful. It was literally a revolution in movie making and in popular culture, it changed everything about what a blockbuster needed to be. Of course everything else has paled in comparison.
The Disney feature movies, with the exception of Rogue One, are all pretty bad. But then again so were all three prequels. The truth of the matter is that even the original Star Wars trilogy had.a bangerr start, a good middle, and a piss poor third film. The issues started long before Disney, and have more to do with Hollywood's inability to take any kind of artistic risk resulting in bland boring garbage designed to sell toys and video games than anything, and that's all across the industry. Lucas tried something new with that first movie, and it caught fire, but by the very nature of what is new, that ONLY HAPPENS ONCE.
You might want to try revisiting some of the shows with new eyes. There is worthwhile work there. Or don't. I'm not your dad.
@charlesparr1611 Yea, I'd agree Rogue One and Andor are actually really good. The first few episodes of Mandalorian were awesome, but it slowly fell off. Diamonds in the rough, or as my dad always said, "Even a broken clock is right twice a day."
Still, the fact a fan made series using Unreal is actually better than 90% of "Official Star Wars" is pretty sad.
@@charlesparr1611 No. Not even close. These have character development, emotional investment, and...dare I say it...arcing plotlines. The spontaneous abortions that DisneyCorp is defecating are little more than woke proselytizing of "the message" and grooming for proles.
@@charlesparr1611 Wrong.
And no amount of deleting my comment will change that. DisneyCorp is woke trash. This is plot development, pathos, and character arc. They are not the same.
Not hard to do, just avoid woke
I remember when this series was a trope on grizzled veteran and new recruit, with the former’s wisdom saving the latter from himself. They were just trying to survive, and hi-jinks ensued. And it was awesome.
But this… this was so much more! Why is the best Star Wars stuff coming from fans, and independents, and not from Disney? If fans can make great quality Star Wars, such as this, with such limited resources, why is the stuff from Disney, who have all the resources in the world (at least it seems like that) so sub-par?
There is something seriously wrong here.
AFK, thank you for keeping the true spirit of Star Wars alive. Your productions put Disney to shame.
Cheers,
Simple, Disney and KK doesn't care about star wars, it only cares about how many lesbians it can shove into a so called "star wars" show.
Yeah, the industry has become completely bloated.
Everything important is margins and hype machines, not satisfying storytelling and verisimilitude in narratives anymore
Because this is done out of Love where as Disney is doing it for $$$$$..
they so totally could have explored this exact plot arc. they made finn as a character ffs, and failed completely to develop anything profound for his arc which could have been how the franchise branches out from the homage to the old series, into a new era of storytelling on empire and dissent that continues to be relevant to the times.
@@TnsToad Looking at how much $$ they tanked so far, I'm leaning towards - money laundering scheme than anything else.

@@stevenscott2136 You're overthinking it. I just thought of an oft-quoted line from the first time I heard a trooper call him "Sir", so,I expected AFK to use the gag...
Don't call me Sir, my parents were married!
I use the "Don't call me Sir" line fairly often, and I wasn't even IN the military. I DO work for a living, and despite my best efforts, am now old enough for some people to call me "Sir." *le sigh*
That would be a fun joke for an episode if it wasn't for the fact that sergeants in Star Wars are actually referred to as 'sir' in militaries like the GAR and the Imperial Army.

Oh my GOD, okay it’s happening, everybody stay calm!
You can feel TK-FNG losing faith in the empire. His slow turn towards the rebellion and away from the empire is coming. He's questioning the empire...this is better than anything Disney has ever done with star wars. I connect with the characters and look forward to every new episode.
That trope is dumb and exhausting, keep the imperials in the empire
@VolkovVelikan
Just observing what's going on. At the end of last season his last words were "f*ck the empire". He didn't shoot those young people that threw the grenade who were rebel sympathizers. And he killed that stormtrooper who wanted to shoot that kid. He also complains about the goals and means the empire employs for the success of their mission.
Cannot wait. FKU and FNG are my fave stormtroopers 😂
TK-4Q2 now LOL
This is so much better than the schlock that Disney has been putting out. I am always anticipating the next “For the Empire” than any other show.
The multicolored nail paint was an insanely nice touch

That ending took a sudden and dark turn...gave me a chill.
Next day Jabba the hutt visits with his speeder to toss in Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett gets tossed in too and Dengar manages to rescue both Boba and one very enlightened and confused trooper.
Well, that explains why Boba Fett found a stormtrooper in the sarlacc...😋
Still love that you have a Legends (for now imo) and a Canon character interacting together. Aphra and Mara Jade are two of my favorite Star Wars characters

This should have 10x the hype "the acolyte" has.
It doesn't need hype, it needs viewers and supporters
As a former NCO, I can totally identify with FKU. FAR better writing here than anything Disney is churning out!! I look worward to each and every episode. The characters are believable and relatable. Thank you.
Awesomeness! This is FAR BETTER than anything The Acolyte has shown.

Its my headcannon that the final door that FNG And 69 opened could only be opened by people who trusted eachother and otherwise would set off the trap. Sorta meaningless in the grand sceme but gives me the warm and fuzzies
Oh my sweet lord the character development in this is amazing. Just superb writing.
I absolutely loved every single second of this. The story is so good, the characterizations are top notch and the love and care that goes into making these is extremely appreciated by those of us who still love the real Star Wars.
By the way, that opening countdown title sequence is just *chefs kiss.
The animation in that is so fucking crisp, it looks SO good!
Stormtroopers doing what we do best.
*actively missing each other
Lol! Poor Sarge. Not sure about his plan though. He gonna push every single stormtrooper in his garrison into that pit?
He already sealed his fate by going to the pit without permission. Gone from his post and his partner now reported missing? Yeah, he's done for
It's been confirmed by the voice actor for Sarge that Loud Mouth Stormtrooper is the dead trooper that Boba Fett finds in the Sarlacc stomach in Book of Boba Fett.
I love this for the subtle but realistic military humor. In the Vietnam War officers were killed by their men for being either to aggressive or incompetent, it was called fragging because they would drop a live grenade at the officers feet. Sometimes you have to do what is necessary for the greater good.
That’s how that stormtrooper got there, Boba thanks you
You guys are literally the best thing happening for Star Wars right now. As always, great content and can't wait to see what happens next!
I wonder if Vder just liked making people feel awkward and uncomfortable just for kicks 🤔😂
fuck this started as hilarious and it still is, but its going so dark and serious as we get to watch these stormtroopers become more and more disillusioned with the empire and its amazing

These fan films are so much more enjoyable than anything Disney Star Wars has to offer.
This is an amazing series. I served in the military for 20 years and some of this is just so spot on it makes laugh so hard. BZ to the entire team working in this.
What an ending…somehow this show is starting to get serious, I love it…❤
This is hands down better than anything produced by DisneyCorp. Please don't stop making these. The character development is drawing me in and emotionally investing me in the story.
I love that brief moment where 069 and FNG see one another's hands, particularly the rainbow colored nails that 069 has. It really goes to show how much personality these guys have that are smothered by that all that Imperial armor and doctrine.
You’ve brought back Mara Jade. My faith is restored.
Even so its funny, Mara didnt feel right. In the books she was mich more idealistic and even went out of her way to help a Group of stormtrooper deserters. She believed the empire was there to protect and save people.
Never let good writing get in the way of cheap jokes.
I thought that the old Stormtrooper would order the guy to jump into the Sarlack pit. It would have shown how to not always follow orders, but I'm not going to lie that I like that punch too. 😂😂😂😂
Once again well done. You make Star wars interesting again.
This is 300% better than anything Disney has put out in years
I just thought of a funny way to do a comparison between Clones and Stormtroopers. One of the characters runs into this Clone and they ask what things were like when they were soldiers. The Clone talks about how officers, politicians, and even the public saw his kind as expendable, never rewarded them for their service, and yet they still use their image to inspire people to become Stormtroopers. The protagonists go on about how similar their lives are, maybe being particularly horrified if the Clone reveals he took out his inhibitor chip and realized he was forced to execute the Jedi. This then sparks the Clone to talk about how great the Jedi were, always being on the frontlines and getting Clones to name themselves and so on. It would be really funny if the Stormtroopers reveal how alien such treatment by their superiors would feel like to them as well as question if the Clone is crazy given all the stories they’ve heard that demonize the Jedi.
I love to think TK-FKU's actual job is not to guard toilets, but is actually to dispose of 'problem troopers'. They get assigned/paired with him, and he ultimately decides if they can still be useful to the empire. If deemed unsalvageable, they get 'lost' in the desert.
That's actually quite a good plot twist:)
In the time of the Acolyte, this is the Star Wars series we want and need!
So I just watched this a second time and got chills at the end when sarge’s hands were shaking
