He is a perfect example of what an actual NCO or SNCO is like in the US military. Nothing ever gets past a NCO/SNCO and as long as it's nothing too bad you might get away with it depending on the NCO/SNCO.
@@igorschmidlapp6987 God help the individual who calls an NCO or worse a SNCO as sir or Ma'am or makes the mistake of saluting an NCO/SNCO. That is one mistake a person tends to make only once. On the opposite end you better make sure the person walking by is not an officer and fail to give proper courtesy to them.
In the USN both SNCO ranks of E-7 to E-9 and all commissioned officers wear the same khaki uniform where the rank is worn on the collars. I was once confused as a Chief petty officer (E-7/gold anchor collar insignia) when I was a LCDR. (O4/gold oakleave collar insignia) by 2 junior Marines.
I might have let it go except the way they addressed me even if I had been a Chief petty officer was completely out of line. Easy way to get yourself destroyed by a navy chief/senior chief/master chief is by addressing them with a "what up chief".
The look on their faces when they actually got a good look at my collar insignia was priceless though. Was defiantly one of those O I am so screwed kind of realizations.

I grew up watching the OT on VHS (complete with commercials, since we'd taped it on Fox at some point). My brain still expects very early 90s commercials at certain scene transitions for A New Hope because of that.

This fan production has more heart and depth to it than what is vomited up by disney, great job in story telling and to hear the sarge say "fuck the empire" was almost as chilling as hearing luke react to vaders "i am your father"

The conversation between Stormtroopers and Scout troopers is a perfect way to how US sailors and US Marines operate around each other. while we are all on the same side there is definitely a competitive animosity between the two services.

I truly honestly believe that this section of the video is the best fan made star wars production you will see on UA-cam. The reveal at the end along with Sarge's last line is just so IT. This would make it far if it was a real Disney + Show.

Season 2 is GREAT! The animation is even better now, and even the pacing and timing of the humor is more subtitle, and whitty. Great! Just GREAT!

The line deliveries are amazingly well done. Some of the jokes are completely dependent on their deliveries, and it speaks volumes to their talent.
it's crazy how these are better written characters than anything Disney has made despite throwing 9 figures at the problem in just "professional" writers.

Another great Star Wars parody series is Chad Vader, also here on UA-cam, made about 15 years ago. It's about Darth Vader's brother who is a day shift supermarket manager. 4 seasons, very funny.

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve rewatched Ceremonial Duty and I die laughing every time. The fade to black at the end with final sounds is the cherry on top.
