Many stories still remain untold in the vast universe created by George Lucas. Three years ago, we delved into one of the myths of our childhood and wanted to explore this universe further, which is loved by millions of fans. Creating an alternative story about the most iconic character of the saga is a thrilling adventure! We are proud to announce that today, we are presenting 'The Lost Relic - A Star Wars Story.'

Wow! What a warm welcome for our short! Thank you all for your support. We didn't expect that, but SW community is definitely amazing! 🔥
Very glad that you love the narrative idea of The Lost Relic. Our purpose was to gather the different Star Wars periods, and also fans from all horizons, from the original to the sequel! We grew up with the prelogy that we loved as children, then we discovered originals that we loved too, and today, we enjoy a lot of Disney's creations like Andor, Mandalorian, and Rogue One. This last one inspired us a lot in our creative process for the Lost Relic. We loved the idea of filling a gap in the storytelling as Rogue One brilliantly did between III and IV.
Please note that we don't earn any money with this short (no crowdfunding or UA-cam money), it's only made with our personal funds, as a hobby, from fans to other fans ✌
Star Wars is an infinite universe, and so many stories are still to be told!

The cinematography is extremely professional. This is incredible. Please make more. Great casting...great cgi. All of it. Including talking to a Droid? Wonderful. Vader as a part of it...wow and the endor Mook shot wow. Even the hyperspace done perfectly

And you've done a lovely job uniquely framing your story. The archive bits are my favorite and obviously a labor of love. The way you introduced these two lost relics
(the band itself, and then the content the band had; the mask itself), by:
1). actually starting from a relic context; an archive
2). tell a story about an actual relic
3). and then at the end tie the story together in the same archive ..
.. with the punchline to give the name of the relic in the inventory, the same name as the entire film itself!!

Yes, there's a gaping plot hole in the sequels, which this little gem fits nicely
13:55 minutes of excellence. This by far was a very well made SW's, Fan short movie. I like the opening & ending with the employee working in the film department, who accidentally stumbles across an old movie film and views the missing footage of SW that director GL, supposedly cut out of SW's ROTJ part 6 and picks up in SW's The Force Awakens, part 7. Then titles the film, SW: The Lost Relic. We get to see how Kilo Ren got his Grandfathers distorted Vader mask. The actors even though short screen time nailed their performances, they were believable & interesting. This was SW, i consider this SW canon. Who needs Hollywood, when you have small independent movie teams, that can bring forth a movie better than the so called pros in today's modern entertainment industry. 😃👍

Chapeau !!! As I wrote on Facebook, this fan film touches me like no other so far! As a filmmaker, the attention to detail and the presentation of all the props hits me right in the heart and the visual effects could have come straight from the ILM forge. As a big fan of the making-ofs, the opening scene alone has me gushing! I take my hat off to Third Gate Production and express my deepest respect for them. And what a funny coincidence: We'll be at ComiC Con next weekend with our own booth, and it will look exactly like Your storage room. We even have some film canisters on display as decoration. I think I'll write "The Lost Relic" on one of the canisters with sticky tape, Easter eggs are great in real life too :-)

If you say that God's work does not change, will He finish His six thousand year plan of government? All you know is that God does not change forever, but do you know that God is always new and never old?,If GOD'S WORK DOESN'T CHANGE, CAN HE LEAD MANKIND TO THE PRESENT TIME? If God does not change, why has He done it in two ages? His WORK DOESN'T STOP PROGRESSING, which means He GRADUALLY REVEALS HIS DISPOSITION TO PEOPLE, and what is REVEALED is His natural DISPOSITION. In the BEGINNING, GOD'S DISPOSITION WAS HIDDEN from PEOPLE, He never directly revealed His disposition to man, and PEOPLE simply had NO KNOWLEDGE about Him.
Because of this, He USES His WORK to gradually REVEAL His DISPOSITION to PEOPLE, but acting in this way does not mean that His disposition changes in every age. ☀️
This is not the case where God's disposition is constantly changing because His will is always changing. Rather, because the TIMES OF HIS WORK ARE DIFFERENT, the natural DISPOSITION of GOD, in its FULLNESS, is GRADUALLY REVEALED to PEOPLE, so that PEOPLE CAN KNOW Him. But this is not proof that in the beginning God did not have a specific disposition or that His disposition gradually changed over the ages---such an understanding is incorrect. ☀️
GOD REVEALS TO MAN His natural and PARTICULAR DISPOSITION--WHAT HE IS--according to the PASSING OF THE AGES; WORK at a single TIME CANNOT EXPRESS GOD'S WHOLE DISPOSITION. And because of this, the words "God is always new and never old" refer to His work, and the words "God does not change" refer to the nature of what God is and what He is. 🛑🙏
After all, you cannot base six thousand years' work on a single point, or limit it with dead words. Such is the folly of man. GOD is not as simple as people THINK, and His WORK will not last for just one age.
The NAME JEHOVAH, for example, cannot always REPRESENT the NAME of GOD; GOD can also DO His WORK in the NAME of JESUS. This is a SIGN that GOD'S WORK is always MOVING FORWARD. 🛑
GOD will ALWAYS be GOD, and He will NEVER be SATAN; SATAN will ALWAYS be SATAN, and will NEVER BE GOD. 🙏💐
GOD'S WISDOM, His awesomeness, His righteousness, and His royalty will NEVER CHANGE. His SPIRIT and WHAT He HAS and WHAT He is will NEVER CHANGE. If PEOPLE CAN'T SEE THE REVELATION OF GOD'S NEW DISPOSITION IN THE NEW AGE, WON'T THEY CRUCIFY HIM FOREVER? And in doing so, do they not define God? IF GOD INCARNATED only as a man, people would regard Him as a man, as the God of men, and would never believe Him as the God of women. MEN BELIEVE THAT GOD'S SEX IS THE SAME AS THEIR SEX, that GOD is the RULER of men---but what about women? 🛑
This is NOT JUSTICE; Isn't this DISCRIMINATORY TREATMENT? However, all those whom God will save will be men like Him, and not a single woman will be saved. ☀️ 😪
When GOD CREATED MANKIND, HE CREATED ADAM and He created EBAY. He not only CREATED ADAM, but also MADE MAN and WOMAN in His likeness. 🙏
GOD is not just a God of men---He is also a God of women. God is entering a new phase of work in the last days. He will reveal more of His DISPOSITION, and it is not the compassion and LOVE of JESUS' TIME. Because He has a NEW WORK, this NEW WORK will be ACCOMPANIED with a NEW DISPOSITION. So if this work was DONE by the SPIRIT---IF GOD WAS NOT INCARNATE, and INSTEAD THE SPIRIT SPOKE THROUGH THUNDERS so that MAN HAD NO WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM, WOULD MAN KNOW HIS DISPOSITION? If only the Spirit does the work, man will have no way of knowing His DISPOSITION. 🛑
People can only see God's disposition with their own eyes when He becomes flesh, when the Word is manifested in human flesh, and explains His entire disposition through human flesh. God REALLY LIVES WITH PEOPLE. He is touchable; indeed man can relate to His disposition and to what He is and what He is; only in this way can people REALLY KNOW Him. At the same time, God has also completed the work where "God is the God of men and the God of women," and the totality of His WORK in the HUMAN BODY has been achieved. 🙏

This is by far the best star wars fan film i have ever seen in my life.
When that imperial officer died, i cried for the first time because of an imperial.
Fans are so much better at this than Hollywood. With far less resources. Kudos
I just finished watching an amazing fan-made movie that had an excellent plot, stunning visual effects, and electrifying music. The team behind this production did a fantastic job of blending all of these elements together seamlessly. I want to extend my congratulations to everyone who was involved in making this movie.
Have to say, while watching, one thing that really stood out to me was the incredible music composed by John Williams. It's hard to imagine Star Wars being successful without his music. Even in this fan-made movie, his legendary themes added so much value and greatly improved the overall quality.

Little constructive criticism; Having one character talking with a french accent is not a problem, but having them all speak with a french accent reveals this is a fan-film.

Can we please retcon all the terrible parts of the sequel trilogy like this. This was incredible! The acting was just a wee bit stiff but other than that amazing cinematography, beautiful renders, and great attention to detail. Even the transitions were just right. I hope Lucas film sees this and hires you. Honestly, this reminded me very much of Indiana Jones as well so you guys really nailed it.

How did you get that job? I've always wanted to work in an archives position. I got my undergrad in American Studies a few years ago. What steps are necessary to work in film archiving?
@@iamhistorygeek I don't do it anymore but I was a film scanner. It's a tightknit group of people, I would start by trying to get involved in AMIA or some other film preservation agency that may be closer to where you live. I got the job by knowing someone that worked there so I would try to make connections with people that are passionate about the industry. I know that's kind of a broad answer but that's the best advice I can give!
This is insane. I absolutely love this short film and it fits perfectly into the Star Wars universe. The soundtrack, visuals and actors are amazing, great job to them! This is canon in my book. Keep up with these high quality films their incredible!

This was incredible! Such a beautiful work & such a great way to tie both trilogies together! I loved it! Also I loved the incorporation of music, from the Rogue One open to some of the FO themes when the officer leaves Endor! And the visuals, ahh!! Keep up the amazing work you guys do!

Such a clever way of explaining how Ren ended up with Vader's burned helmet - when I saw that scene in The Force Awakens, I thought that there would be a superb idea for a story there. Tres bon!

I had wondered how Kylo Ren obtained, as I just assumed it had completely melted.

I can't stand Disney Star Wars, so don't care for the ending as such, but I have to say this is visually stunning. The production values, sets, props and effects are truly excellent, especially as I doubt you had a huge budget. It always helps to incorporate John Williams' compositions too, to really give it that Star Wars feel. You guys did a great job of working within your means to tell a nice simple tale really well. Kudos.

Not what I was expecting, rather far better than anything I could have imagined. I'm truly fond of the approach your team took towards this film, having it viewed through the eyes of a real person from our world that sets a relaxed atmosphere, directly jumping into the film reel as if it where apart of an old production for the original trilogy. From the remarkable use of camera angles flourished by the incredible use of CGI truly gives of the effect of this short being within the Star Wars universe. Also an exceptional adaption of trying to salvage the sequel trilogy timeline by incorporating this with the burnt relic of Vaders helmet. Great acting, cast, cinematography and a great storyline that encapsulates a sense of fear among my self. Putting myself into the perspective of that officer walking upon Vaders remains would in my opinion would bring a level of fear to any imperial forces after the war. With the knowledge of the emperors defeat and then encountering one of the most feared person in the galaxy would be truly daunting. Great Work :D

Holy... holy everything! What a production! I'll start with what i don't like as there not may of those. Was a little surprised with FRenglish language, but i reckon you people are French so it's perfectly fine. I especially like discount Andor:) I did not like the imperial guy letting the girl shoot him. No way Karie would have time for reaching her gun. Same with Derek scene before. That's it.
Whole rest of it is just a fan made masterpiece. Details are stunning, music is added in perfect way. Decorations, costumes. And the cinematography. This is of of the roof. Guy behind the camera is a genius. Perfect shots, focus pulling and great editing at the end of it. Big kudos to your lighting team, brilliant work. Whole story is awesome too, explains detail of great importance from the sequels while clamping it with charming "old cinema archive" climate at the start and the end (the old guy was the best actor here). Somehow you managed to make this look nothing like a amateur production. I wasn't expecting that... congratulations!
