Holy crap this is incredible. The backgrounds, VFX, costumes, lighting, and of course the story line giving a funny and interesting explanation for why stormtroopers can’t aim. Kudos!
I love the idea that "stormtrooper aim" is caused by a poorly calibrated targeting system and the empire never investing to fix faulty designs since they were investing so much into the death star.
Actually it also has to do with poorly trained soldiers. Palpatine had already defeated the Jedi and only needed a large amount of soldiers for shock and awe purposes.
Clones are expensive with the growth stage the food medical exams and so on and so on while go to that planet and consc...... i mean recruit couple milion volunteers
@@CommunityFan Not all. Compared to the Clone Army, the later Stormtroopers were poorly trained since Palpatine wanted quantity over quality. Palpatine needed a huge army to intimidate the galaxy as almost all Jedis were dead.
My brother is a Stormtrooper, he received his own E-11 a few days ago and he's not pleased. Apparently, the software used for this beauty are atrocious, it's almost as if the software try to AVOID targeting what he's trying to shot, and just have the blaster bolts graze it. He's also got to test a weapon called a A280 from a friend he has in the company. Bigger, but MUCH MORE reliable. I for one don't need a blaster, for I have my tryied and trusted T.I.E. Fighter!
@@GarudaLeader You must not let the fact that the blaster has been tainted by the rebel scum stop you from using a reliable weapon. If our enemy uses it widely, it is likely comparable to our own designs, surely.
@@thiccythins785 The only imperial designs that kinda come close to that of the A280 are the E-10 the predecessor to the E-11 used by the imperial army and the E-22 used by shore troopers.
Note:For increased accuracy, the grip may be unfolded to make a stock. Warning:Hands may sustain burns during sustained fire due to having to grab the barrel due to the grip being used as a stock. Assessment:A workaround should be in development. Keep stock folded and use as a grip untill then.
I mean the E 11 is built for short range firefights, where a stock can be a liability, but in a long range fight, where your fire rate is much lower to maintain accuracy, with the armored gloves they wear, the barrel would be fine to touch
This is why I need a Stormtrooper show. I want to see them unfold it for longer ranges since it overheating isn't as big a liability when trying to manege recoil over further distances. I also want the scope complaint just to see one of them rip it off. Little stuff like that would be awesome.

Great review, TK-421. It's reviews like this that really make me appreciate the transparency the Imperial Holonet allows these days. But yeah, as a hyperspace scout that often has to heft an old-school blaster rifle over pretty rough terrain, I'm realizing what the Imperial arms designers are going for here. They're trying to squeeze all the lethality of a blaster rifle normally as long as your arm into something the size of a heavy blaster pistol. Good idea in theory and it's been done before, but they also seemed to be prioritizing a lightweight compact frame for gross storage to save space and weight. Combine too much kick for how small the frame is with what seems to be a bunch of surplus targeting scopes they still had during the Clone Wars, and you get a weapon that can't properly account for the kick unless you're firing one shot every thirty seconds unless you're within short range of your target TL;DR, It's a blaster the size of a nuna that kicks like a ronto and they might be saving creds on the scopes. Great for usage in tight spaces for use as a blaster carbine, but it might suffer a lot over distance fighting. Apparently the images on the info site show an extending stock, but who has the time to stop and wrestle with that when trouble kicks up? But from the holo documentaries I've seen, you've got those Imperial officers doing dispatch command moment by moment in your helmets to coordinate you. I'm pretty confident the academy competency standards for the grayshirts are pretty high. Hopefully this means us settlements in the Mid-Rim will continue to be a lot safer from pirates and raiders with you guys patrolling around.
Thank you for voicing your concerns! I will escalate this to my superiors but rest assured you’re safe with us patrolling the galaxy! Even in the Middle and Outer-Rim territory.
It's not a bad idea, heck I love the fact that it can make hallway fights easier. Maybe a modular design would've worked better (Grenade and sniper is something I've eagerly awaited) instead of trying all that fancy CIS style voice command.
As an Imperial marksman, I decided to try this for medium-long range fighting. It’s pretty hard to accurately hit targets, even with a set up scope (because I read the manual, unlike apparently a lot of my fellow troopers). Too high recoil. I definitely prefer longblasters like the DLT-19X and DLT-20A. Doesn’t mean I don’t keep it as a sidearm for possible CQC engagements, though, and the underfolder stock helps with firefights between short and medium ranges, so if I have my usual loadout then I’ve got all my bases covered.
I've been with this a few times on the backworlds. Not an... ideal, uh, piece of gear. As it turns out, after about a week on any jungleworld the scope usually shorts because of the sealant, so you absolutely have to put some of your own around the eyepiece and body joitn, otherwise it WILL break. the thing about the carbine sized rifle? Yeah it's pretty much the truth. In long range firefights you see like one hit outta 100, and if they've got any innate resistance or even worse, actual armor, you might as well be throwing rocks. Shoot, we've got a trooper with a SLUGTHROWER here and they do better with it than an entire fireteam blazing away for a few minutes. I really REALLY feel like a stabilizer kit for long range shooting would be good, if this is how it'll be. Some of the people here are reporting bolt breakup even after hitting a bit of foliage at maybe a few hundred meters. That said... In close quarters this thing is a godsend. The fire rate doesn't slow after even full auto sprays, so you don't have problems with heat management, and the rapid fire rate means you might as well be arming everyone with compact automatics. A lot of stuff we've found to not work in close quarters against some of the wildlife out here, the E-11 absolutely gets the job done.
got back from Jedha recently. One of my guys figured out how to disable the targeting system, so the scope is just used to zoom in. he said to unscrew the processor and take out some component that looks like a screwdriver. once you do that, it's a decent weapon. we had to deal with some insurgents out there, and in cities and close quarters it is amazing. HOWEVER, mainetance is an absolute b****, and there is no way around it. the process to disable the targeting system (the removal of ONE PIECE) requires the removal and reinstallation of like, seven. It doesn't jam often, but when it does good f****** luck. the clearing system works about as well as the scope. it is also damn near impossible to use the folding stock, so stabilizing your shot is a massive pain. the worst part? I don't even know why i have it. I'm a f****** tanker, not a grunt (no offense to you guys). me and my crew should have pistols or some sort of submachine gun, not a blaster rifle. we have anti-personnel guns on our tanks, but those are fixed. which means we either turn the whole tank to shoot somebody on the left, or use our main guns and blow out half a f****** building to get one person with an AT gun. i've heard rumors of people buying civilian-rated SMGs, i might have to look into that to compensate.
@@TK421Reviews As a reserve soldier alot of us surprisingly still use weaponry from the war... I'm just glad to have gotten my armor upgraded, I had my clone armor for years... Need to get my helmet inspected still.

Honestly would watch this if it was a whole series on YT, kinda like how Garand Thumb or Forgotten Weapons do their content. Superb effort went into this!
I've found aiming to the right of the reticle usually helps. My cousin's battalion got their shipment of E-11s a few days ago (finally) and they had similar issues to the one in this video. Can't wait for the update!
Strange, ours over in the mobilization unit founds ours shooting high. Must be a batch by batch case or something. Should take it to the repair tech & see if something needs adjusted. That’s what I was thinking of doing.
Honestly I could watch a whole series of this, just a Stormtrooper reviewing all the Empires fun new toys Wonderful production value in this video, please make more!
@@nochancewithoutpasta7637 yeah, people keep saying stormtroopers have bad aim,it’s literally the guns,I bet if they had a different weapon they would get non stop headshots as they are elites canonically.
its not very canon though as its explained that storm troopers have good accuracy(notice how no one shoots DARTH VADER IN THE BACK?!?!) The canon is that everything is supposed to happen for a reason and if the storm troopers hit something then the future would have changed. So since the droids were meant to get to get the death star plans to the rebellion, they couldn't be hit, same thing with any one who wasn't shot already. cause if storm troopers have bad accuracy, then all jedi are more pathetic than you think for being shot by basically the same people with the same tech
cause it was out for 3 months when you commented and the fact it says a star wars fan film probably dissuades peoples. Most fan fic isn't even worth investigating to see if its good or not, I expected a movie or a short that has a story outside of a unboxing youtube channel if star wars had youtube....So consider it lucky to have gotten this high 1.1m now. Did you expect it to have hundreds of millions of views? do you know what REALISTIC is? serious question, whats realistic to you?
I like the headcanon that stormtrooper inaccuracy is caused by bad electronics. We already have canon proof of the helmets being bad for aim, but the scopes themselves being bad is the same type of cost cutting and budget skimming crap the empire is already known for.
2:42 I legit thought an ad popped up lmao. That was placed beautifully Also, this was an amazing video! It really brings a fresh joke on why Stormtroopers have terrible aim 😂
Definitely would love to see more of these "A-Day-In-A-Life" videos of Stormtroopers like this. They are really comical and intriguing to watch. We often see the big names but tend to forget about these men. Please keep them coming TK-421!😄 Subbed!
Wow, this is well made. It left me with a smile on my face the whole time I was watching it. What can I actually say. When it compared to the new stuff from Disney, you made the hit of being well made and prove that you have talent to produce well-made fan films.
Such a "simple" Star Wars Fan Film without action and battle scenes, the force and so on. It is very well done and I excited for more content - this is worth a sub!
For all those wanting a follow up episode, unfortunately TK-421 has to do a tour of duty on a Star Destroyer. But I'm sure as soon as he gets back from ISD Vector he'll update us.
It would probably be so friggin rare even in the military due to being items seized from the purging era. It would be much less of a hassle by just buying a vibro knife or a tiny droid that laser cuts boxes.
I've always been partial to the good old DC-15s. It's light, accurate, and won't break on you while fighting the Rebs. While holo sights are fun, you can never go wrong with iron sights. I'll never understand how the E-11 even made it past the testing phase, much less standardizing it for our troopers. Stick with the DC on your deployment, it'll save your life, I know it did mine.
Canonically, aside from the tarkin doctrine, a large reason why most of the clone army gear and weoponry was abandoned was that it was molded to shape one persons hand/grip, and the lack of scope was compensated by a viewfinder in the helmet of the clones
@@michaelbenjmitchell1 cheaper this way? A huge part of the reason Kaminoan-made clones were phased out of service and recruits were taken in was just how damn expensive the clone army was.
Finally got equipped with the new weapon! Fighting Saw Guerra's rebels on Jeddah, got much easier. Also, the Empire sent the new battle station to help us to make sure our weapon worked!
The DC-15 Clone Era blaster was first replaced by the E-10 which had a alternate configuration called E-10R for long range combat (featured in Solo). The E-11 was commissioned shortly before New Hope and made the E-10 series obsolete.
Heroes on both sides have plot armor like a mofo, but in legends, stormtroopers actually WERE a force of terror. The armor kept them from being killed, though they were often still down and out if hit, and their fire was much more accurate than we see against heroes with plot armor. Rebel forces had a difficult time of marshaling a force large enough to hope for a victory through attrition because it took such small numbers of stormtroopers to wipe out much greater numbers of rebel fighters. The rebels didn’t have high tech armor like that (which confuses me, because how could the empire POSSIBLY have that tech on total lock down, but maybe there’s something there I don’t have eyes on) and would die when shot. So skill and talent is completely lost when rebel fighters are shot in battle, whereas many of the stormtroopers are about to come back into the fight again and again, getting better and better at fighting less and less skilled rebel fighters. It’s how they planned to break the will of the rebellion, and they almost succeeded. Some of the legends short stories are friggen awesome.
The Expanded Universe is the true lore. Stormtroopers were bloody terrifying in the old lore. They could NOT be bribed, they could NOT be bought and they were incredibly skilled in interrogations. And they were physically, and psychologically trained to perfection.
@@KnjazNazrath yeah me as well, and I don’t read any of it anymore, I just remember some stuff I read as a kid. One was a collection of short stories. One of them was following Han and Chewie before they joined the rebellion. They were smuggling weapons to some bug race that was fighting the empire. He advised them not to fire the blasters on auto fire because it would reveal their position. Another one in that book followed a rebel fighter and it talked about fighting storm troopers and how terribly hopeless it was because they were better trained, had armor and didn’t often die in battle, where as rebel casualties were heavy on dead, low on wounded. It totally countered the idea that stormtroopers can’t shoot, and on the other hand said they were super accurate and fired tons of kill shots.
Normally I skip the ads but I thought I'd give this service thing a try and it was the best decision I ever made! The food in the mess isn't as bad as everyone says (shoutout to blue milk), the armor gets you instant respect, there are no gross aliens, and I got to serve on the Executor under Admiral Ozz--I mean Admiral Piett!
this video kinda reminded me of the two stormtroopers in the first star wars in that hallway where they were talking about new speeders and stuff. it gives them more depth. and i like it
Lowkey, the Imperial Navy has an awesome starfighter they have been using for special missions called the TIE Defender. Truly an amazing and awesome ship that can match pretty much any fighter in the galaxy. Only problem. In order to fly it, you need to complete 40 TIE fighter mission logs. So unless you are the luckiest SOB alive who spent those missions running test flies or shooting at asteroids or that one in a million pilot that can hit their targets blindfolded, you never get that far.

'Damn you blue screen of death!' 'Am I right, hey?' The level of detail and the humor are spot on, which can't be said of his aim (lol). Seriously though, awesome video.
I love this video because it has a more reasonable explanation for why stormtroopers in the latest Disney shows and movies never hit their target. I personally think it’s stupid to think that all stormtroopers can’t hit their shots and are bumbling morons. That just ruins the coolness of the stormtroopers and honestly just doesn’t make them a threat when you’ve already heard 6 million bad stormtrooper jokes.
What do you mean by "in the latest Disney shows"? In the original film, Stormtroopers were effective at boarding a ship and apparently were really precise when shooting up a slow moving and defenseless Sandcrawler, but after the first half hour they became completely useless as soldiers, you had R2-D2, C3PO Han, Chewbacca, Luke and Leia fleeing from dozens of troopers constantly being shot at but never hit on the Death Star. Ok in Empire the AT-ATs did do some damage at Echo base, but they were not piloted by Stormtroopers, I don't think we saw any Stormtroopers kill or capture any Rebels on Hoth, then at Bespin when Lando, Leia, Chewie, and R2 were fleeing they never got hit, you do at least have an excuse for Luke not getting hit, Vader wanted Luke alive so the storm troopers were probably told to try as hard as they could to hit him, because if he told them to miss there is a chance aiming to miss would cause them to hit him. in Return of the Jedi at Endor we did see that Stormtroopers were occasionally able to hit something, when a few Ewoks and R2-D2 got shot, then Leia got shot in the arm, but the Ewoks utterly humiliated far more Stormtroopers than Stormtroopers killed.
@@terryforsdyke306 Ok In A New Hope, they effectively destroyed all of the Rebel defenses on the ship. Jawas are probably slow moving targets and we’re probably shot at point blank range. They were missing all of their shots on the Death Star because they were told that the rebels were supposed to escape. Vader and Tarkin explicitly state that they let them go on purpose. In Empire, they effectively storm echo base. Although we don’t see any of them kill rebels. That’s not a lack of hitting their shots, that’s just the fact that they were too late. Not to mention how they immediately capture the main crew with Vader. Endor is the only real problem when stormtroopers hit their shots but in all honesty, they did kill quite a lot of rebels on the surface and a couple of Ewoks too. The main reason for their failure was because of the ambush and complete chaos that ensued.

Precision versus accuracy lol, he can precisely miss his shots now!
Fighter!
😁
Somebody at Blastech is clearly a rebel sympathizer. They should be investigated or else our boys in white won't last out there.
Hey! The A280 is used by rebel forces!
This feels like a genuine fan film from the early days of the 2000s, only it’s in glorious high definition. Please review more gear!!!
Please get Ian from forgotten weapons for a sequel, he’d fit the role so unbelievably well 😂
He should do it on " May the Force be with You" Day . Like how UA-camrs do videos on April Fools Day
Note:For increased accuracy, the grip may be unfolded to make a stock.
The DC-15s had the exact same problem
This is why I need a Stormtrooper show. I want to see them unfold it for longer ranges since it overheating isn't as big a liability when trying to manege recoil over further distances. I also want the scope complaint just to see one of them rip it off. Little stuff like that would be awesome.
This is probably why the E11-D was designed lol
That's what you get for using the E-5 as a base.

Combine too much kick for how small the frame is with what seems to be a bunch of surplus targeting scopes they still had during the Clone Wars, and you get a weapon that can't properly account for the kick unless you're firing one shot every thirty seconds unless you're within short range of your target
TL;DR, It's a blaster the size of a nuna that kicks like a ronto and they might be saving creds on the scopes.
I was totally suprised since I expected something entirely different but this stormtrooper reviewing the latest gear is absolutely brilliant

Canonically, aside from the tarkin doctrine, a large reason why most of the clone army gear and weoponry was abandoned was that it was molded to shape one persons hand/grip, and the lack of scope was compensated by a viewfinder in the helmet of the clones
@@Schraderbrau1383 You know what why didn't they keep the viewfinder though?

Any recommendations? I've found decent EU trooper lore to be really varied in quality...

He is handling all these technical difficulties so well.
@@terryforsdyke306 Ok
In A New Hope, they effectively destroyed all of the Rebel defenses on the ship.
Thank you! Indeed we tried to balance the gags with some somewhat "serious" explanation. Love the discussion going on btw!

His animation and effects is so detailed its like hes in a costume with a green screen behind him
You got it!
Good to hear, that no Jawa were hurt in the making of this film. 😂👍 - love your detailed ideas. Keep going.
Thank you! I appreciate your care for Jawas! This is the way
This is so well done that I genuinely thought the ad was real for a couple seconds, hot damn
TK 9167, long time viewer first time commenter. Love the unboxings and what a treat to see our new weapon. You really brought the sizzle and I can’t wait to get my hands on one. Stay frosty.

Despite its flaws I’m really excited for the E-11!
This was extremely well done. Greatly impressed with the interior CG work!
Thank you. I like your appreciation of that part! Put a lot of effort into that!
As a fellow stormtrooper of the great empire This was so helpful, I actually managed to get an E-11 myself! Can you believe it! This video serving as a guide was amazing! It helped me understand how to use it
This is actually really well made and funny. I love shitpost/parodies that tease genres like unboxing videos. Incredible work.
Thank you

I appreciate reaching out. Not sure what you mean?
This is the first time watching one of these and i have to say I absolutely loved and fell for the ad for a second there😂 and the social awkwardness is amazing
My brother, you are indeed the best at making reviews of our finest gear.
