This totally saved me!! A cabinet fell off my garage wall onto my washer damaging the dial and broke the supporting clips on the washer timer inside the unit. We couldn't figure out to get the knob off but this video saved us!! THANKS!!

Excellent Video! Thanks!
great video, my trouble happen to be in the waterlevel switch, not the hose or the switch but the sensor on the tube must of been clogged. blowing hard on it dislodged whatever it was and now everything is good to go. thank you for the lesson.
thanks for this great video .. i used your knowledge to fix my washer !!!
Can you hear the drive system kick in when it drains, or does it just start running down the drain? The motor must turn in the drain/spin direction for the pump to push the water out. (motor, or timer...What is your model number?) But If the drain hose/pipe is too low or stuffed down the drain pipe below the water level in the washer tub it may just be siphoning the water out.
You will need to check for 120 Volts AC at the valve connections when the washer should be filling. You may have a bad timer or pressure switch. But if the valves are not even trying to open it sounds like a power supply problem... hopefully a loose connection some where... Hopefully that helps a little. Good luck!
Thanks
Thanks for your videos, very infomrative. I have a washer that fills fine, then does nothing. I can hear the motor, a faint hum that makes it sound as if it has power, but it does not agitate. There no burning smell or grainding sounds either. If I manually advance the timer to spin and drain, the machine spins and drains fine. It wil just sit, in the wash cycle not doing anything. I was not sure if it's the timer, but since it completes teh rinse, spin and drain, it does not seem like its the timer. I thinought it could be teh water sensor, but it fills to different levels depending on teh load size I select, and stops filling fine. It seems like the motor is not getting the signal that the filling has stopped though. It is a Maytag A712.When the machine is empty, I tipped it and checked teh belts. They are newer and seem tight, but I can advance them by hand.Any thoughts? Thanks
thanks for the reply, and yes my timer is stuck n not moving, but you didnt answer the last part of my is there any less expensive timer assembly than the aforementioned I can buy to replce the oldone but will fit in my machine
Man thanks for the video you're a life saver!
Thanks for the video. I have a Kenmore washer machine series 80. The washer works ok, the only problem is, I have to move constantly the timer knob for it to work, otherwise it will make a noise and click, then turn off. I have to wait a several minutes so I can use it again. Thanks
I fixed it!! My little girls sock was stuck in the water pump:) thank you so much...
