I thank you for getting right to the point on how to remove the top cover and cabinet removal and not posting minutes about safety and stuff that has nothing to do with removing the parts
This is a very good video. I am a licensed mechanical contractor and I work on Refrigeration and HVAC equipment so appliance repair is a easy thing for me but being that I don't do it every day, it can be a a few minutes to figure out how to take the stuff apart and most videos are just waste of time about safety and unplugging it and more safety and they only get to the point after several minutes of safety and it is just a bother! This man got right to the point of how to get the cabinet removal and open the top cover and I am thankful for that
And on a second note, if a person who wants to take it apart and has no knowledge about electric connections or moving part's that can hurt you? Then they really need to be calling someone else who knows what they are doing and avoiding getting hurt.

easier said than done when more than half of them rip people off
First video I clicked on and it had everything I needed and quickly explained it all. I took the tide pod lift off and in a 1 in a million shot. It slipped in-between the cabinets and the tub. This was a 5 minute fix thanks to you.
Thanks for posting this. My daughters snake escaped it’s enclosure and ended up inside the washing machine. This video was perfect for teaching me how to get the lid off.
holy crap thank you so much for this video. I have viewed so many other videos trying to figure out how to remove that dang panel! this video explained it perfectly. THANKS!
It took me 2 days to find this video but it is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks! What a great breakdown of the washer.
Very clear instructions.Nice and easy. Thanks
Informed to the max,,,Give that man a Lowenbrau,,,
thanks finally to the point
This was VERY helpful!
Thank you much!
Just FYI some models have a small screw right behind the control panel on both sides. You have to unscrew those and there are also two plastic tabs to pop. Then it comes right up. I didn't need to use the putty knife because mine was diffeent.
Yours sounds like mine, there are no brass colored springs on it, just two plastic pieces that snap in. However, now I can't get mine to stay in and it's flopping!
Great video that explained everything well. Thanks for taking the time to make it!
Wow. I was stumped. I just popped up you video and now I go a plan!! Thank You
Glad to hear we were helpful for you!
Great video, I love your website, the manuals and part schematics and the parts you have allowed me to keep my washer going for many years. Appliance repair is a lost art, most people would rather drop thousands on a new washer with a smartphone built in
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and for visiting our website!
This was helpful. Thank you!!
another vote for this being a great video. popped the top off and right away found no power was getting past the lid switch! thanks.
Great video Steve!
Very helpful. Thanks.
if you have the end cap model there are two screws at the back i think you need 1/4 nut driver. then there are two Philips going down from the end cap into the washer top that are some what hidden. after that control panel sides forward and lifts off ( no hinges )
Excellent. Thanx!
Thank you so much, you saved me a lot of money
Excellent!!! So easy when you know how! :)
Very helpful, thank you!
You’re a king!

Very helpful thank you
Thank you!
Thank you Thank you 😊
Fantastic video
I have an old washer - 26 years old! I love this washer but it wouldn't start unless you slammed the lid down..and today it just wouldn't start. I didn't know what to look up on youtube - what was the part called? Found this video and within the first minute he named the part that I think I need...the lid switch! why didn't I think of that? Thank You!! (wife not husband posted this-lol)
This was quite helpful! When my top load washer first starts to fill, there is a bubbling sound in the bottom of the tub. Is this serious, any idea what causes this?
Great video - helped a lot today to open up our washer. The suspension spring was disconnected and causing a crazy tub wobble. The hole used on the frame to secure the spring had rusted away. For now, just using a different but tight hole for the same spring. Later will drill a fresh one onto the frame nearby. Thank you.
didn't go quite far enough - I want to detach the metal bowl from the support braces at the bottom; the drum seems to have something keeping it from coming apart
Thanks
What would need to be replaced if the washer is no longer spinning and draining water? It’s fills up with water but then it stops
My Whirlpool Ultima II has a lot of rust between the upper section and the housing near the bleach tray. How do I separate the two to clean off the rust and repaint?
Why when I close door it does not st rt washing?
Thank YOU for explaining how to disassemble a whirlpool (W10140920 B). Can you recommend a reliable parts distributor? I believe I need to order a new direct drive motor. Again, thanks for your video!
Hi Steve, can you help me find lost items in my top loading washer?
Trying to find fuse. Uploder woorlpool
How do you fix a whirlpool that puts holes in clothes? I suspect the agitator isn't flush enough.
Great. Now, is there any trick to putting the cabinet back into place? Looks like it might take a bit of maneuvering.
Feeling the same but will try to put the cabinet back on as it was. Not easy to do without more hands.
I determined that to reassemble, open the lid to the chassis as you reassemble the casing to the chassis. It allows yo to see the slots and tabs for easier reassembly. I was able to reassemble the machine with no other assistance.
Troubleshooting tub out blance
Motor runs but nothing is happening to ei no water or drum is not agitating
what a luck i have. Must be the only washer without suspension rods. now what do i replace
Washer not filling with water
Suspension rods for Amanda washer part no.w1046830b
