In Conversation & Statement Analysis, the methods I'm trained in, a word is not interesting in and of itself; the context makes it interesting. One instance of seemingly deceptive language use is not necessarily remarkable; repeated instances are. The analyst asks questions like: What does this word refer back to? How is it being repeated or avoided? Which patterns do we see? And, ultimately, what is the meaning of the subject’s words?

Exactly. In other parts of the interrogation he refers to them in the past tense, saying Bella "was the girly-girl." And in the news interview on TV where he smiles throughout, he says that Bella "was supposed to start kindergarten" next week. They brought him in for questioning after watching it.

What is utterly amazing about this case is his ability to think (or his incredible inability to think, not sure which it is) that everyone would just buy his story about a woman and her two kids disappearing off the face of the earth. That they would just accept it and he could move on. I just can't understand how he thought he could get away with what he did.

He worked hard to hide the real CW. 40 years ago my daughter had gotten on a stool and unlocked a bolt at the top
Of a door. In a house we had just moved into. We were exhausted. It was a long distance move, we had no idea our two old daughter would be able to reach that bolt. It was our plan to put new locks on after a nap. When I laid down I ask my husband to watch her while I slept for an hour. Thinking I could watch her while he rested and then go get new door locks at the hardware store. But two hours later I wake up to my husband sleeping. Our daughter missing. I lost it! LOST IT ! Ran all over our neighborhood. Called 911. I was beating on doors asking anyone to please help me find her. Just as the police pull up I see a lady walking from a cove off our street. My daughter was In Her arms. If something had not happened soon to get my child home, I would have needed to be sedated. The lady told me my daughter road her big wheel into the cove and played with the other children. I had not even noticed her big wheel was not In The kitchen. She had let herself out of the house taking her big wheel. The lady watched the children play. When it was dinner time all the kids were going in to eat. She had been there an hour. This mom said “ who is that little girl” ? One older kid said oh that girl just moved into the house our friends lived in. Thank God. And thank God for the mother who noticed and brought her home. I looked at my husband and said go to the hardware store right now. Get our door locks changed and I want deadbolts. Where there is no way she can open the door. We had been married six years at this point. Our daughter two an a half. He was just not that alarmed during the entire ordeal. But that fifteen minutes almost killed me. I held her all night. That marriage ended after ten years. I never felt he had the strong love for our daughter. They have a kind of broken relationship but its still a relationship. I remarried when she was In Her last year of nursing school. My husband her step father stepped in and has given my daughter everything. He has cried more tears over her. Has given her his last dollar at times. Has listed her to receive his estate upon our death. He loves her like a biological father should love his daughter. And yet her biological father just was emotionally absent for her. Last year my daughter actually said she would change her last name to ours. And even at her age allow my husband to legally adopt her. Sometimes men can’t love a child or a wife in the way that God Loves the church. And scripture tells us that a husband should love his wife that way. And his child should be right up there. With the most important things in life. I’m sorry I married an emotional absent man because it hurt my child. Thank God my child was brought back home to me and I did meet and marry my best friend. He has been that dad that she deserves. I’m older I’ve been through so much. If I can tell a younger lady just starting out anything, put God First in your life. And marry your best friend. Someone you can always count on. If you do those two things you and your children will be loved and cared for. If you are in a bad situation, let go. Allow yourself a chance to have a good life. That requires letting go of really bad situations sometimes. If I’ve learned Anything it’s not so important staying with who you started out with. Who is more important is the one who stays with you to the end. LA

@@found5189 I believe that Bella woke up hearing a commotion and went into their room and saw him in the act of killing Shannan. I think she ran and hid under her bed and was dragged out. The bruise on her shoulder and defensive wounds on her hands and arms, wounds on the back of her heels, which were in an addendum to her autopsy report. And that is why the trauma dog went ballistic beside her bed. That tiny girl fought for her life. I think it wasn't Cece's murder she witnessed, it was her mothers and she asked that monster "are you going to do to me what you did to mommy"? Truth mixed in with his lies......but a few statement analysts have been able to unpick the lies and get closer to the truth.

You help us to detect more deception by CW with your analysis...e.g., when he exhales his responses, and the words and phrases he uses (& those by the detectives). I’m right now thinking of what I think was an Elvis Presley song jailhouse rock and believe they may have been in black and white stripes. Outstanding breakdown. DeCoder shows us just how much language reveals the state of one's consciousness and the state of one's conscience of someone who speaks from a truthful standpoint and a deceptive one. For me it reveals just how connected we are to our emotions. Speaking as a father myself; if my wife daughter had genuinely gone missing I am pretty certain I would have been an emotional mess and would not have been able to even think straight. The very fact that he can even give an interview to a TV station was very revealing and suspicious.

His statement about the use of the word "everybody" was quite interesting. I actually know someone who speaks in terms such as those. This channel is awesome for learning who you are actually talking to, not just taking their word for it.. Very useful to have a skill like this in todays world.

I've watched way too much about this monster. There's two women about whom I would like to see more scrutiny: Nicole Kessinger and Chris' mom Cindy. He is absolutely responsible for his horrible acts. I just believe that these women imprinted his behaviors as well. Where is Nicole? How did she get away with her actions and lies? As far as Cindy, her role in manipulating her family is just sickening.

at around 7:34 when CW says "I would never do anything to harm them" he sort of stutters at the start of the word "harm" as if he may have started to say the word kill but changed his mind split second. just an observation

Your linguistic analysis is always so fascinating. I wish those CW lovers and Shanann haters could watch your videos. I say could because they're not interested in anything but conspiracy theories and BS. Why is that? I just can't get my head around it, I gave up trying to convince them that CW annihilated his entire family, there's facts AND confessions. Why won't they see the actual truth? Thank you for another great video and I look forward to the follow up.
