Chris Watts Claims to Have Changed: Is He Telling the Truth?

  • Chris Watts gives the impression of 1) not feeling like himself at the time of the crime and 2) being a changed man. This video, however, changes that impression. By analyzing Chris’ words in his phone calls to his sister and private investigator, letters to his mother, and interviews with CBI/FBI agents, we are able to get the full picture of Chris’ personality - the real Chris Watts.
This is an extensive language analysis of different interviews and conversations. You can use the principles of the analysis to decode conversations in your own life.
As a linguist, I’m trained in finding patterns and inconsistencies in people’s way of communicating. If you are interested in how conversations work and what is said “between the lines”, subscribe to the channel.

As the haircut reveals, I started making this one a while back (early June). It’s the most comprehensive video I’ve made about this case. The video is made as a documentary with clips from and analyses of many different interviews and conversations. Structure: 1) preliminary research questions; 2) partial conclusion; 3) summarizing conclusion.

People will always tell you who they are; and when they do, believe them!
He has always looked to escape a life that he wasn't happy about: He moved out of his parents' house right after he graduated high school; he turned against his parents when he met and fell in love with Shanann, then moved across the country with her to get away from his mother's control; and finally, when he couldn't take the stress of being so much in debt and Nicole Kessinger seemed to be his ticket out, he murdered his pregnant wife and 2 small daughters to start a new life. He finally pleaded guilty to the murders and went to prison. He read the Bible, became a "new" man, believed that God forgave him...then said that he has to get out of prison no matter how he's got to do it.
He wants everyone to believe that he is a changed man, but has never shown one iota of remorse. He - again - states that he wants to get outta [prison] no matter what. A truly saved and born again Christian would feel true remorse, pray that Jesus Christ will show him how to do good (i.e. share the Gospel with other inmates, help those who are disabled and/or very elderly, etc.) while he serves his rightful punishment. Instead, he is like an old vinyl record that plays the words, "I wanna get outta here no matter how" over and over again. He's once again looking to escape a life that isn't to his liking. The prison must ensure that he can't endanger the lives of other inmates, staff, and visiting family members of other inmates. He is dangerous and entitled. Since he "became a Christian", and is a "new man", he feels that he deserves to be free. It's time for him to pack up and leave (escape) for a new life somewhere else.

I've read all informations, facts, social media post, angry text massangers etc.. I believe this is a rare case where all the adults involved are selfish and narcissistic. Shanaan was controlling and mentally abusive, yes. Kessinger planted the hatred and Chris was a coward. A very angry coward. I don't really care about these adults, but those childrens deserved better. Poor them been caught up in a fantasy of their dysfunctional parents. The way shanaan berates chris about his parents are hard to read. A rare and weird case indeed.

Ok so even if he downsized, moved into an apartment, divorce his wife, share custody of his children, and had to get a second job to pay off his debt, that would be WAY better than a life in prison. He can never go on vacations, eat at his favorite restaurants, go to the movies, celebrate holidays with his family, sleep in on the weekends, go to a library, mall, park etc...he will never experience true living ever again. So I would rather have debt than the life he has forever.

@@sylviarippey6488 the worst error in interpretation that people makes about the Bible is at the part that says “God has a plan for you”, and “what the enemy intentes for evil, God intentes for good”. That’s about Joseph, son of Jacob that was in prison accused of a crime he didn’t committed, not someone that is guilty. So, if you are innocent, the evil deeds have no power over you, and you will use it the time in prison to do good. Watts has very evil eyes, I believe you can tell a lot about a person by looking into their eyes. In all his high school photos such evil looks. Plus he always talks himself up about how good he is all the things he has done for his kids and how dependable he is, how he sat with Shanann when she had to prep for a colonoscopy, how he is always willing to help and how intelligent he is. He loves to blow his own horn. And the quote from the Bible he used is what Jesus said to God about forgive them for they know not what they do during his crucification. Watts thinks Shanann was forgiving him for murdering her and then her kids dumped in crude oil. This guy is truly unbelievable! EVIL ! I’m so glad he will die in prison!

The most honest thing about Chris is that he doesn’t cry. Everything and everyone in his life, including God and the Bible is seen as an extension of himself. Whatever humanity resides in him has long been revoked; he should never be trusted. He’s the happiest he’s ever been because of the notoriety he’s received and the money people keep sending him. The fact that he probably didn’t do any of the killing himself keeps him smugly optimistic of an appeal. He fails to incorporate at all how his despicable actions directly led to some of the most innocent lives being cut off. He uses petty family squabbling to justify the taking of Shannan’s life. He’s only a vessel for the evil he willingly invited to himself and he believes that everyone, just like him sees him as a selfish extension of their own self and assumes that they will have some future use for him. He is all used up and he doesn’t even know it.

This tired old trope has been executed over and over and over again by many (including the very worst) criminals, all trying to manipulate courts, parole boards and the public into ‘giving him another chance’ …
His family are weird. Out and out weird. I’d be worried about the lot of them, tbh. I get that you love your relatives, but there seems no empathy there at all for what those kids and his pregnant wife went through. I’d be tempted to have them all DNA checked to see if they’re maybe missing some key DNA linked to emotion. Some people really do have no empathy for humans or animals. They find it easy to hurt and kill because they have no switch in their brain telling them it’s wrong. Very disturbing.
NEVER let this monster out. He has zero awareness, remorse or empathy for humanity. He is only his own ego.
    Just my thoughts and opinions

If he did all this, admittedly just to be with NK then he had to of known that she was OK with it because that is like stealing a car just to park it on the side of the road and leave it there rather than actually using it

How his sister can talk to him so casually and even talk about her own children with him, knowing what he did to his, is so vile. Vile people! They can have compassion for both. You see a few seconds of their life and you feel the need to judge them? What is wrong with you? They probably cried the deaths of their family members and have been rocked to the core, that doesn't mean they should abandon their family. For better or worse, Chris is their family.
What is wrong with people?? If a family member of mine did something like this, I hope O would be strong enough to keep visiting them. Family is there for us, even though they might not be able to. Chris can do terrible things, but his mother and sister loving him os nothing but good on their part!

I believe he was showing signs since the very beginning but as they are this kind of a family that never admits their own flaws and since he had good grades and submissive behaviour, they assigned him the role of the "quiet genious kid" and he gladly accepted it. Thanks to Shanann later he got the role of the "perfect husband and father", but both are just roles he accepted to play, he was directed and the script was coming from outside.

  • @sezthet1

He’s not guilty or remorseful because he believes he did the right thing in his circumstances. He’s a coward, he’d rather internally explode and combust and ruin everybody’s life in the process than tell his wife he was having an affair. He didn’t see a way out with Shanann and Nichol was rapidly losing confidence in him and her playing “second fiddle”. His whole internal life was drama, but he never spoke and carried on pretending till he couldn’t handle the truth anymore. He “solved” his problem. He didn’t want his family any more so in his mind they are laid to rest physically and in his mind, it’s quite clear he forgives himself for what he saw as necessary. The horrendous way he disposed of the bodies also doesn’t affect him because the oil tanks were convenient vessels to symbolically shove his children away from him. In the acts he committed, he freed himself of everything that was weighing him down. That mind set will not change because it stopped the turmoil.
Chris the simpleton of course didn’t think about the possibility of being caught. Or so he thought, except he forgot about home security and CCTV, he left their bed sheet wrapped around her body - at a place where he worked, he voluntarily agreed to speak to the police, take a polygraph he failed spectacularly, and then confess immediately making him a legal candidate for the death penalty, and he immediately started to pursue Nichol the day after his family mysteriously vanished. The man was deluded but as with any delusion you’re convinced what you are doing is right.
