All my life I've struggled to not commit suicide because of being depressed about my body type. I've just recently joined the gym and I don't have the motivation I need to achieve my desired body. Remove processed foods and sugars while consuming meals centered around a high-quality protein (ex: grassfed beef, organic chicken and eggs, wild caught seafood, etc.) along with veggies and low sugar fruits like berries. Look up Dr. Joan Ifland and she is an PhD in processed food addiction and it's harmful effects on mental health. Take care!

I did prolonged fast of 15 days( consuming water with pink salt only) doing strength exercise only for leg and I did lose fat overall,lose muscle upper body but keep lower body muscle almost the same

One thing I'd recommend, though: yes, you don't have to count, but counting results in much better results and it's been scientifically proven: people who honestly count their calories every day and write everything down are much more likely to achieve their weight goals than those who don't. You can look up the studies for it. I myself don't count calories for myself. I'm an under-eater and I'm struggling to eat in a surplus for calories. I'm only 73kg(155 pounds) and I'd like to get to 90kg(190pounds), and when I count my calories, I eat my day norm to get to a surplus of calories, which is 2500 kcal per day, and when I don't count them, I often don't hit my goal. How do I know? Because I don't gain weight over the weeks. So yeah, definitely count your calories and hit your goals, no matter if you're gaining or losing weight.

If you gain weight through eating it’ll go to your upper body if that’s where you normally gain weight. Hes saying to build leg/glute muscles to balance the body out.
