      If I don't plan for over clock for 3700x, (running at only base clock), is economic to get spending money on best VRM mother board at high price,
      Or stick to basic mother board at cheap price??? Which is best for non over clock ??

      Electrical engineer here:
      You plug the power cable to the wall so little electrons can travel to your cpu and work inside.
      AC electrons go all over the place they are kinda overqualified for PC work, but DC ones I heard they are the kind of people that don't like changes.
      Battery and capacitors are some kind of hotel for them, doublers are cloning device used to reduce cost, but the efficiency of this device is low.
      MOSFETS are factories, if you have less of them it gets kinda of crammed and hot for electrons, that's why you need heatsink to keep them cool otherwise they will protest by setting fire in factory and work is over. Currency used to pay workers is Watt.
      Hope this helps.

      @@enderholten Yeah. MSI Gaming X products are great. Read my theory again and see if you missed something. Watch the video to be sure. The video features a Gigabyte... Gigabyte Gaming X product which is trash, not MSI. Your 2060 Super is an MSI card, isn't it? Check the box. I think Gigabyte is intentionally naming their low-end products with the name MSI puts on their really good stuff! Why would they do that? Well it obviously worked on you if you don't know which of them made your graphics card! Floob has a bad experience with a product that says "Gaming X." Floob never buys Gaming X again. RIP MSI and their awesome Gaming X products like your graphics card. Do you see now? Oh forget it. FML. The surprisingly large number of people who liked my comment probably see the logic there, even if you don't. Your confusion is their confirmation, or at least worth a laugh.

    A revisit for me. In late 2022 I bought two Gigabyte Gaming X (V2) boards for a very good Black Friday price, and I run them on average 3.5 hours a week, one with a 5700X and one with a 5600X. Both are very simple systems running 32GB of 3200 CL16 or 3600 CL 18 RAM. Neither has ever presented a VRM heat issue. @@Red.exe7 Brother, some people play new games just fine on almost 10-year-old motherboards (like all the LGA 115X series, like Z97 etc) and just slap in beefier GPUs. A lot of CPUs have aged pretty decently. Of course a good AM4 board is still good today. The 5600 and 5600X are some of the best CPU value on the market still (especially if you get them used). Of course you've got DDR5 now, but it's hardly in any way, shape or form necessary over DDR4. The only consideration you really have to make is if you're planning to upgrade again shortly, in which case you might as well just opt for an AM5 board instead.

One feature it has that other boards at it's price point does not is a Thunderbolt 3 header for an option card, so while the built in IO is lacking, this makes up for it for anyone who has devices that utilize thunderbolt like me.

    I chose the B550M Mortar WiFi for my build. At stock settings my 3900xt scores CPUMark 34433 (average of 11 tests, global average 33022 for 3900xt), with a single core score of 2934 (average of 6 tests, global average 2804 for 3900xt). All board temperatures below 50 degrees centigrade with one 120mm exhaust fan. It is memory fussy, follow the certified vendor list. Thanks for this review which helped me. Bluetooth is also included as part of the WiFi implementation on this board. The supplied 'rabbit ear' antennas are not very high quality.

    Many people noticed that Steve accidentally says Aorus Pro instead of Aorus Elite in the intro, but the biggest error in this video is at 14:03 when Steve adds the Part 1 boards into the graphs: the B550*M* Aorus Elite is missing! (There should be 7 purple bars, not 6.) Despite the similar names, the B550 Aorus Elite and B550*M* Aorus Elite are very different boards. In this video, the B550*M* is only mentioned once when Steve concludes it is disappointing at 15:41; don't confuse this with the B550 (no M) Aorus Elite reviewed in this video which is one of the half a dozen Part 2 boards that Steve says "delivers excellent results"!

    It's not just about temperatures. It's also about efficiency and curve smoothness. Here it is better to have less phases at higher switching frequencies. If you have too many phases, they will simply be inactive most of the time. This is why the new B550 Tomahawk is so good with just 5 phases, which switch at 600 kHz instead of 400 kHz.

    Woohoo for MSI B550M Mortar. I bought this B550M Mortar Wifi this summer not knowing it would be a VRM champ, I got it for its silver/white aesthetics. So coupling this board with a Ryzen 5 3600 and Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 all-in-one, the CPU socket temp stay at a comfortable 27°C, CPU core 31°C idle

    Great video! I'm assembling a new PC in 2-3 weeks and my current parts list included the Asrock b550M Pro4. Now swapping it with MSI B550-A Pro. Dodged that bullet....
    On a different note, the power delivery of B550 boards seem seriously upgraded across the board. Makes me wonder if that's not a response to Zen 3 specs provided to board manufacturers. Higher operating frequencies maybe?

    It's worth mentioning that on a lot of these b550 boards the second m.2 and sata 5-6 share lanes. So if you install 2 m.2 ssd-s you typically would not get 6 sata ports, just 4, even if the boards physically have 6 ports. Which is super disappointing...

      @@tomstech4390 Oh, silly me. I guess motherboard makers who put 8xsata and 2 m.2-s on x570 boards are just as stupid.
      Right now I have 3xsata ssd-s and a hard drive. More precisely I have another 2tb drive that isn't connected, because my motherboard only has 4 sata ports.
      And I plan to buy a gen3 m.2 in the future. And after that a gen4.
      But what if I decide to add another 2tb sata ssd?

    • @tomstech4390
      @tomstech4390 4 роки тому

      @@danieldudas9026 1) buy nvme ssds, 2) B550 can give you x16gpu, x4 downlink and x4 nvme *plus* 4 sata drives *plus* 2 sata *plus* x8 pcie which might be broken into more m.2 slots (going throught the x4 downlink). I think 6xsata and 3xM.2 should be enough for most people, you just gotta shop more carefully. 3) get a nas or server if you want lots of storage, you should be backing your stuff up anyway dont blame the board makers or amd for your poor shopping and priorities. My system is 9.6L itx and I can fit 3x2TB(or more) SSD's in here with only a single m.2 slot.

    • @danieldudas9026
      @danieldudas9026 4 роки тому +1

      @@tomstech4390 I was pointing this out because it doesn't matter if you have 6sata, ports if you can only use 4, if you installed 2 m.2-s.
      None of the boards featured here have 3 m.2-s, are you sure, you're commenting on the right video?
      A small itx build with lots of nvme from the get go isn't in everyone's budget, certainly not who is shopping for a 140usd board(hint - the title).
      Instead buying ssd-s with smaller capacity (smaller as in smaller than several tb) as they fill up with games(and also over time they get cheaper), might be what someone needs. In that case go with the board that steals the pci-e slots from the second x16 slot, not from the sata ports(if you don't need the second x16).

    I just wanted to give you guys a little of my experience on the Auros B550 Elite (not a pro like the video said, which he corrected in the pinned note above). I had some issues getting it to post initially, I thought it may have been my power supply so I swapped it out and I reseated my ram just in case. It posted, I got everything set up through bios, no problem. Didn't do anything crazy in terms of overclocking, just turned on XMP and I have a Ryzen 7 3800X so I get no real benefit from fooling with anything there with an air-cooled CPU. Well, updated my system and it needed to restart to finalize updates. Powered off and never completed the boot cycle again. It would turn on, the fan would run for a couple, then turn off. I returned the board and got an Auros X570 pro wifi. Everything else is exactly the same, fired up no problem and works great. I don't think it's a widespread issue but I did see one other reviewer on Newegg say that they had the same problem.
