Ford Ranger anti-theft troubles

- Reached back in the archives for this video. I had tightened the shifter on this truck after fixing the exhaust and giving it a tune up, then something triggered the anti-theft and it wouldn’t start. This video explains why doing it the cheaper way (someone had changed the ignition lock cylinder)can come back to bite someone.
I just bought a 04 ranger and I’m trying to bring it back to life but after watching just video I realized I have that device next to the ignition switch so I’ll give it a try and hope it helps !!

Really the only alarm people should have is a GPS tracker and leave at that. These anti-theft and digital systems need to go. They're too finicky. I like my key needing to snap in half to not work.
Just inherited a 98 ranger.., some low life busted the ignition switch cylinder trying to steal it.,, I can turn the key but it’s a struggle. got it running but the anti theft/ fuel 20A fuse keeps blowing.., I was excited for this truck but I’m just over it at this point
I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my ignition system in my 2002 Ford Ranger, cant figure it. Im not getting any power anywhere. Checked relays, fuses, ignition module, I dunno! Since its a standard no one can drive it anyways lol id just rather have a hardwired ignition switch for this old farm truck.
Make sue it’s getting power to and through the fuse box under the hood
I have a 2000. I have a non-magnetic key for the door and I have the metal key part, for the ignition, from one that broke and I can't find the part with the magnet. Will finding and removing this thing let me drive my truck? As it stands, I plan to convert it to electric.
From what I read up on this was specific to 1998 trucks, it wasn’t a Ford anti-theft but it was production installed and they had Ford systems after this.
Man i hope this works on mine, iv'e been down way too long.
