Question: How to something in premiere pro ? Drag and drop or press ENTER Question: How to do something in Davinci resolve ? You cant because it was made by Linux enthusiasts.
Can't unhear the Abroad in Japan theme even though I am aware that it doesn't belong to Chris.

A lot of people mention Abroad in Japan but I've never watched it. The music is from Epidemic Sound, a royalty-free music platform - what were the odds I'd use the same song as someone famous? haha
@ It's not that he's famous or anything, but he've been using this music as an opener for years in every video Anyways, that proves that you got good ears lol
Great tut, but I just don't understand why Davinci doesn't support gifs for it's users??

Thanks man! 👊🏻 Yeah it’s a real shame, especially since they put a lot more effort into making the program feel modern and up-to-date than premiere pro does! GIFs support should have been a no-brainer 😅
You missed a step after you take out the background in fusion hes right clicking the gif or highlighting it and pressing alt v or paste attributes if your right clicking
GIPHY content is free to use on my UA-cam videos? Thanks :)

As long as you’re within the realm of ‘fair use’, you should be ok. It’s worth looking into it yourself, as your circumstances may be different from mine or other people.
@ thanks for the comment :) What dose 'fair use' means?
2 роки тому+2
@@michaeldahan2977 no worries! :) the term ‘fair use’ basically gives you the right to use copyrighted content in your own, as long as it’s for educational, satirical, critique (etc.) purposes. Essentially, as long as you’re not reselling the copyrighted content for your own profit, you’re pretty much ok. Obviously, don’t quote me on this, as I’m not a legal expert and it does have some limits and special use cases. It’s worth looking into it! ✌🏻
Thanks... Working on my first online course right now... I really hope one of these days they'll add native support to streamline the process. In the meantime, thank a lot :)!

Me too! That’s why I had to find some workarounds, as I knew I couldn’t be the only one trying to make GIFs work in videos.
I seem to be missing a step. I made it to the part I can take out the white background which is at 4:30. After that, I can't follow. When you switch to Edit section and you said to duplicate, mine still shows the white background. EDIT: Nvm, It was working. I have to switch to the Media section for me to see the one with the transparent background. It still shows the white background in the Edit section.

Thanks for a great video. 👍🏻👍🏻Just what I needed. Never saw that coming, that you could change gifs into videos in Instagram!!🤯
How can I move the GIF in my video? Can I move it in the EDIT Tab?
2 роки тому+2
Yes, back in the edit tab, select the gif layer, go to the inspector tab in the top right and you should be able to move it, resize it, etc. IF you get weird glitches (BG becomes black, etc) before you move the gif, right-click on its layer, select ‘create compound clip’, then select that new compound clip and move/resize that layer instead. Hope this helps!
instagram has censored gifs in it, so, you wont be able to use bunch of great gifs from giphy, cause most of them are somewhat illegal. second solution works if gifs are not transparent. transparency is not possible via mp4
It's not working for me. Once I try to move the GIF on the screen the image gets cut off within it's own borders and the background turns black.
2 роки тому+2
That’s very strange… I’ll look into it as I’ve had the black background issue before (not the moving within its own borders issue though) In the meantime, why don’t you update resolve, if you haven’t already?
2 роки тому+1
Try this! Once you’ve removed the green screen, and before moving the GIF: -> in the edit tab, right-click on the GIF layer and select create “create compound clip”. This should allow you to move the GIF without its background glitching. Let me know if it works!
so... How to mport gifs: you can't, convert them into videos honestly I switched from vegas to this software because vegas was very limited but something like supporting gifs is so stupid I don't understand
This unacceptable for software that costs 400 dollars that it cant do GIFs. It cant screen record, cant do anything without 15 steps, cant do most of the basic tools you would need for making youtube. I was using Movavi for the past 3 years, and so far, NOTHING that Resolve does is not doable in Movavi as well. I have transparent GIFs...so Im supposed to do what? Transfer them a million times, through servers and clouds, or most likely just use Movavi. Either way since Im already on a video now, I have to convert to video, do the terrible Chroma Key in Resolve, lost quality because what...A greedy company lied that they have a video editor instead of saying its an SFX editor. I would like just one day...ONE DAY to go by without finding out some problem, some limitation or inability of Resolve. If I could get a refund, I would. I wonder at this point, when the class action lawsuit will come.

I hear you buddy, it's very frustrating when a piece of software supposedly used in the high-budget movie industry still has crippling flaws. I find comfort knowing that at least Resolve doesn't cost $400... per year! (*cough cough, Premiere Pro) haha I guess every software have their application. Some are more targeted towards indie filmmaker, some towards movie industry professionals, and I guess those don't always have content creators like us in mind. How has your experience with Movavi been?
@ Oh, I agree. I do not do anything that has a subscription. I even gave up on AutoCAD because of that (and I used to teach that at my old university). Its not your case, but when you type, "best editor for UA-cam" you get only the ones praising Resolve. I had issues with Movavi being too resource hungry for my old Win7 PC. I watched everything I could think of, read forum posts (of course I didnt come across the problem ones, with the fan boys saying RTFM over and over, as if a, we didnt already do so, b, its 500 pages long. I sent out a tweet (Im only on there recently), but I tagged Movavi. I hated on them a lot, but its simple, and does the trick. I am not recording a summer blockbuster, as Im sure none of their clients are. Whats messed up, that I dont think my editing is bad. Sure, recent ones were limited again (I fried half of my RAM, was down to 8GB) but now, Movavi on my new i7 with 64GB of RAM flies. I feel like an idiot still, because I built this new PC for Resolve. I even found an RTX card that wasnt that much overpriced, and use Windows 10....I could have just upgraded my motherboard, my processor and RAM...I wasted THOUSANDS of dollars, and didnt post for 3 months because of Blackmagic. I assumed that some things were exagerated but to this extent? And I didnt mention the bugs, the lack of captions, no speach bubbles, nothing of what makes a UA-cam video a youtube video and not TV or movies! I could have bought tires for my car instead with the money....Anyways, I appreciate the creative thinking I needed this GIF of gears, simulating me thinking (Im not charismatic, so I need these crutches). I made the background white, put it inside a speach bubble (that I had to get from Bill Justice) and its ok...but the color matching is terrible. And I wont go into Fusion and do outlines of a gear with 72 teeth...twice lol)
@ Yes. I learned a lot but is was kinda "rocky road" ;) Also it would be super super nice if you could show this or that on the screen. You are a pretty person but... you know ^^ thank you!
Yeah, and? It still does the job... 🤨 Considering DaVinci Resolve doesn't natively import GIFs, the techniques I show in this video are still your best bet. I'd be curious to know what you'd suggest instead?
@ "The only one way to add gif in DaVinci Reesolve is converting to mp4". Title like this will not make any misunderstanding. Some people know that gif is not supported for now, but when they see title which promise teach them how to add it, they watch it, and get disappointed, like me.

It really is! The song is called "Look Where That Got You" by Mattie Maguire. It's from Epidemic Sound :)
@ Thanks so much man!

If your GIF has a black background and the ultra keyer isnt removing the background, use the LUMA KEYER instead!!
you hook me to the video from the start...
Thank you! 🙌🏻
Little disappointing. Is there any way to do this using one's computer, for those of us who are old and not so bright with cell phones?
The second technique doesn’t require a phone and might be more suitable for you. Have you tried it? :)
For every single thing in resolve, I have to look up a tutorial
It's not working for me. Once I try to move the GIF on the screen the image gets cut off within it's own borders and the background turns black.
