I am obsessed with your videos even though I don't have a camera and i edit with my phone But I still enjoy watching them as I know I'm going to need it someday
I just edited my first video last week. i watch this video and already have tones of ideas that would have made that one some much better. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. I was contemplating what kind of channel I wanted to start on youtube. It is between local fishing guide or a "how to" on fixing and modding an Audi TT 8J. Besides the organization tip, every other tip was very educational and useful!
This is absolutely fantastic material! I am trying to start a channel and editing is something I NEVER thought I would have to worry about! Thank goodness for people like you and all kinds of great software on the internet! Thank you so much!
As a new UA-camr I needed some video that could give me with good insights into editing. This video is amazing!! I have made notes that I am going to use in all my future vlogs. Thank you 🙏🏻 😊
A subsidiary tip to that last one: if your music track doesn't fit together smoothly where you try to join it, mask the join with something else., a high point in dialogue, a sound effect related to the content, or some wild sound mixed for atmosphere.
I hardly watch full videos on youtube, but after watching your videos i realized that you are best teacher. I learn a lot about videography and editting . It is so easy and simple to learn and understand as a beginner . Thanks Steve Love from Pakistan.
Your videos are absolutely stunning and inspirational on the basis of your videos alone. I have a Crane M3 gimbal arriving tomorrow and look forward to really getting into video production!
Brilliant video. I learned a ton of useful stuff that I can now use on my first UA-cam channel! Will absolutely do a deep dive into more of your videos! THANKS!!
@LearnOnlineVideo, How important do you feel it is to use a jump cut to edit out your "breaths" when talking to a camera like you are here in this video. I see a lot of tutorials recommend editing out breaths, and instead of a continuous shot with continuous audio, they use jump cuts to even edit out a very brief breath. To me, that seems to be overkill, but now that I've noticed it in videos, I wonder if it is a more standard practice than I initially thought, and something you recommend doing?
Hi Steve, my name is Bernd from Germany. I am watching your videos for a while and it creates so much value to what I am doing, that’s not funny. I would like to thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge to the audience. Beside that your are a very sympathetic guy and it is fun to listen to you. Take care.
This was very helpful - my skillset is not video, but I use video to communicate with my audience - so learning some good techniques makes a difference. I'm looking forward to applying and trying some of the tips you've provided. They are all fantastic - the only one I think will be more challenging is the audio track modification (Tip 10). I'll definitely need to spend some time on that one!
Hi Steve, thanks again! My first travel to Sicily and applied lots of your tricks and techniques to have better travel videos. Now comes the editing part. Looking forward for your next videos!
thank you for these pointers! it helps much in easing the stress of thinking about how to improve my editing process. some of these I already know, but have to be reminded of. you're an awesome teacher!
First time to watch one of your videos. Of all the people who show editing tips, this video stands out as a very, very well edited video. The product placement was seamless! If only you would do a lessen for absolutely everyone on UA-cam about how to do that. The scripting was a pleasure to behold. Folks! That's how you do it! I especially like the tip on the tracking shot. That was such a beautiful piece of camera/editing work! I learned a lot in this 12 minutes. Thank you sir!
IMO J-cut: Beach & Car = They're able to (or soon will) hear the car from the beach, meaning the car will be appearing with them soon = hectic and foreboding L-cut: Beach & Car = The car driver is thinking of them on the beach and is rushing to join them = peaceful and hopeful
Steve, you are such a great teacher. I watched this video when you first released it and again just now. It was a great refresher, and different info stands out on the second viewing. I have learned so much from you. Thanks!
Professor what is the best program for editing and what is the right purpose to extract video to match Instagram and Tectok I'm talking about the phone.
I've just recently started my UA-cam channel on video/photo editing. I'm sure you'll find my videos helpful, I would be happy if you check out the Nelytech channel! Thanks!!
@@muhammadhabiburrehmandaim1163 Good luck brother! But use the free version it’s still super capable and advance.
This clip was unbelievably helpful on editing tips that I've seen recently. Thank you so much @LOV and look forward to employing some of your suggested techniques. 😎👍
Great tips! I’m glad to see someone else editing/cutting audio the same way I do…old school. LOL! Of course sounds sweetening is a whole different topic (cuts, levels, transitions, fades, etc.) Next time someone tells you, “Can you just edit that real quick?” Remind them ‘The art is in the edit’. Thanks for the video…cheers!
Nice one Steve. The shortening music tip was really helpful. Music in videos I find thr hardest thing to get right. Having the right length music clip is always a headache
