My advice is don't overthink things. Most of us are here for every video because of the person you are. I personally don't do bus or van life but enjoy watching it just like I enjoy music, homesteading, etc. Your life has evolved since you have Jaylena and Ember so to see your life as it unfolds is enough for me. Just be you and post whatever you're working on for that day/week. It'll all work out in the end. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I have loved your videos from the beginning. My husband and I dreamed of some day building a 5 window bus. Unfortunately he got cancer and passed away April 3.Since then I watch to get a little happiness. I listen to your music when I'm sad or lonely. Isaac stop worrying your not a homesteading channel you are a life style channel and I for one like the hopping about, your channel is not going to be boring as we never know which project you are going to do. So who care if you do a truck build or a tiny house build , a music video or a garden make over, This is your journey and we are along for the ride.
My two-cents' worth: as a content creator, y'all have already nailed that! You have a very successful channel documenting what you do in a day, edit it, upload it, and voila! Makes no difference what you are documenting/doing in a day. The routine is the same. I began watching y'all before the owner put your garage up for sale. I followed y'all thru all the phases you've gone thru because I enjoy your "company".

I first starting watching Jaylena when she was at the end of her marriage. I followed her watching her struggles and the meeting you. I guess watching the two of you together really sealed the deal with me. I thought you two were majic together and then saw Jaylena struggle through her pregnancy, but came thru that. Then i got hooked on your beautiful Enber Wild. Im hoping to see more of you together as a family, sharing your experiences with us. It seemed that you two were going in different directions, not much together. It seemed confusing for me. Thats my honest thoughts. I love you all, i think you could have an amazing channel together.
Please remember, these two young people had their worlds turned upside down not too long ago. And remember, words can hurt. Do major damage. First baby, post partum, suddenly becoming first time parents and everything that goes with that. Just because you think you see something and start throwing guesses and statements, doesn't mean that that is the truth. Best to just sit on those words. Circumstances change, people change. That doesn't mean that there has to be some horrible underlying reason. Life throws us all challenges.
Homesteading can mean so many different things. One definition you already said you would be showing is just Simple Living. Another aspect of homesteading is fixing the home and property to be what and how you want it. You have been showing us that all along, as soon as you moved in. There's no need to apologize for not being sure how to homestead. A 3rd aspect of homesteading is trying to live off grid and I know that is what Jaylena is leaning toward for the use of that barn and making it into a guest tiny home. So I have been really glued to her channel watching her do that conversion. A 4th aspect of homesteading is trying to live off the land. You can start on that aspect by starting to prep your property for chickens, a vegetable or herb garden, a fruit tree grove, goats, or any other land usage ideas that you have that will save you some money in the long run. I can go on and on. Such as doing some canning with produce or fruits that you harvest from your land, etc..... You might not know how to do those kinds of things now but researching it, trying it and showing us is all great content and should be enough to entertain us!
It really doesn’t matter what you film as long as you just use your skills & talent you already have built creatively along the way so far. Whatever your life’s journey is is valid and worthy to bring us along. You have a following and just like life people and places transition from one journey to another. Bring it on family, music, house, travels, friends, property, chilling out, good times & bad. The channel is Isaac Turner & that’s exactly what you’ll get! Exactly. Focus a video on each small project done. Redo a bathroom, focus on the shower install, that’s a video. Tear out a kitchen and redo, each thing done is a video.

When she introduced us to you, it was just the cherry on top. I love your little family and cannot wait for all of the content regardless of what you focus on.
Isaac, I think most people watch the videos for the "vibe." It's a sad world at times and y'all make people happy. I like it all. Looking forward to more music and more adventures but I also love the content of both you and Jaylena experiencing parenthood and home ownership for the first time. No one is an expert until they experience something. Don't get stressed. Do what you did on a big bus project. Make a list. Set a plan. Do the research. Activate the camera and just do it. The property is beautiful and full of potential. I wouldn't make a road to the top shed. That would take something away from it's magic. It's like a secret hidden out in the open. Some watching may even be able to share their knowledge regarding homesteading. As far as content goes, post for your Ride or Die subscribers, and everything will work itself out, man. Isaac, when your life journey suddenly changes direction, it’s difficult to adjust to that. People watch your channel b/c of who YOU are (first and foremost). You’re a likable guy and Your journey may have changed but you haven’t. Be yourself. I’m sure you and Jaylena have spoken about your goals. Why not make a game plan of what your top priorities are on the property. I think it would be nice to see you both working together on certain projects. You’ve made a commitment to each other but just seem to live separate lives. I know you’re not married (that’s your business) but b/c you’re a family, I’d like to see you working on projects as a family. Maybe allow your cousin to dig out a small road for you up to the cabin. I don’t know why but it always makes me sad when Jaylena takes Ember and goes on trips by herself. That beautiful baby binds you and Jaylena together for life. You’ve both come so far. Jaylena is a Different person since meeting you. She’s much happier and content. I’d like to see you have one family channel then have Jaylena have her own crime channel and you have a music channel. View me as your mother telling you sternly yet lovingly, Isaac and Jaylena. You’re a family now. Start acting like it! Families work and play together. I lost my husband to cancer 3 years ago. Throughout our entire marriage, we were inseparable. Don’t waste these moments you have together. Show Ember everyday that mommy and daddy love her AND more importantly each other! :)❤

I’m very excited to see how your homestead comes to life! We are outside of Roseburg area of Oregon. We’ve been full time RVers since 2008. With the country like it is and my husband’s health issues, we’ve been staying close to home & family.
You guys need a garden tractor (mower type) with a snow blower, and wagon to haul stuff ups and down to the baby barn. Will come in handy for lots of homesteading chores.
Your process of learning will produce some very good content. When it comes to the buildings, your experience with building busses will be to your advantage. You and Jaylena will probably want to do some gardening. That's good content too. Having done a lot of that, I recommend that you begin by just biting off a small piece at a time. No grand immersion. Just do one little raised bed, maybe a 4' x 12' or 16'. You will learn from that without exhausting yourself. When it's convenient, if you want, then you can do another one. Each one will take only about 2 or 3 days. Not enough to overpower your life, but enough to produce both good content and a feeling of satisfaction. Actually better to do the basic infrastructure work in the winter in order to be ready in the spring. No, you won't immediately be growing all your food. But you will be getting something and learning. And the time requirement will not dominate your life. You'll have fun.
Isaac, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know what to do right now. When you started van life you probably didn’t know much either. Just try to put it behind you and start a new and fantastic chapter in your life. You are a smart man and can figure out most anything. Jaylena is doing a lot of what she doesn’t have experience in but she’s determined to figure it out. I do think you should try to get some kind of access road up to the tiny house though. Remember, we’re all here to help you along this blessing of a journey. You got this!

You can still build a bus now and then, but let us hear your music and do your wood work. I watch a guy "Just Alex" he simply decides he wants to try something and takes all of through the process. Help design cupboards for up in the building Jaylena is working on? Just show wagon after wagon (Gorilla cart) of trash coming off the hillside...sort it so we can see the treasures! I've loved your day trips..Oregon is different in the snow...perhaps go to some of the hidden waterfalls, hike in with friends for safety, and take beautiful videos so everyone can enjoy the beauty!! Maybe sell the photos..keep having bus life folks over, they are part of your tribe and are loved by many of us...we all 'knew' Mandy before she got on the road because of you. You and Jaylena are very talented...go with your heart and we will love it!

I’m loving watching Jaylena renovate the barn, and would love to see what y’all do with the tiny home at the bottom of the mountain. Also, I figured that y’all were saving the bathroom renovation for winter, when it isn’t as ideal to be working on the tiny homes.

Homesteading can mean so many different things. One definition you already said you would be showing is just Simple Living. Another aspect of homesteading is fixing the home and property to be what and how you want it. You have been showing us that all along, as soon as you moved in. There's no need to apologize for not being sure how to homestead. A 3rd aspect of homesteading is trying to live off grid and I know that is what Jaylena is leaning toward for the use of that barn and making it into a guest tiny home. So I have been really glued to her channel watching her do that conversion. A 4th aspect of homesteading is trying to live off the land. You can start on that aspect by starting to prep your property for chickens, a vegetable or herb garden, a fruit tree grove, goats, or any other land usage ideas that you have that will save you some money in the long run. I can go on and on. Such as doing some canning with produce or fruits that you harvest from your land, etc..... You might not know how to do those kinds of things now but researching it, trying it and showing us is all great content and should be enough to entertain us!

Isaac, when your life journey suddenly changes direction, it’s difficult to adjust to that. People watch your channel b/c of who YOU are (first and foremost). You’re a likable guy and Your journey may have changed but you haven’t. Be yourself.
I’m sure you and Jaylena have spoken about your goals. Why not make a game plan of what your top priorities are on the property. I think it would be nice to see you both working together on certain projects. You’ve made a commitment to each other but just seem to live separate lives. I know you’re not married (that’s your business) but b/c you’re a family, I’d like to see you working on projects as a family. Maybe allow your cousin to dig out a small road for you up to the cabin. I don’t know why but it always makes me sad when Jaylena takes Ember and goes on trips by herself. That beautiful baby binds you and Jaylena together for life. You’ve both come so far. Jaylena is a Different person since meeting you. She’s much happier and content. I’d like to see you have one family channel then have Jaylena have her own crime channel and you have a music channel. View me as your mother telling you sternly yet lovingly, Isaac and Jaylena. You’re a family now. Start acting like it! Families work and play together. I lost my husband to cancer 3 years ago. Throughout our entire marriage, we were inseparable. Don’t waste these moments you have together. Show Ember everyday that mommy and daddy love her AND more importantly each other! :)❤

You guys need a garden tractor (mower type) with a snow blower, and wagon to haul stuff ups and down to the baby barn. Will come in handy for lots of homesteading chores.

Your process of learning will produce some very good content. When it comes to the buildings, your experience with building busses will be to your advantage. You and Jaylena will probably want to do some gardening. That's good content too. Having done a lot of that, I recommend that you begin by just biting off a small piece at a time. No grand immersion. Just do one little raised bed, maybe a 4' x 12' or 16'. You will learn from that without exhausting yourself. When it's convenient, if you want, then you can do another one. Each one will take only about 2 or 3 days. Not enough to overpower your life, but enough to produce both good content and a feeling of satisfaction. Actually better to do the basic infrastructure work in the winter in order to be ready in the spring. No, you won't immediately be growing all your food. But you will be getting something and learning. And the time requirement will not dominate your life. You'll have fun.

Isaac, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know what to do right now. When you started van life you probably didn’t know much either. Just try to put it behind you and start a new and fantastic chapter in your life. You are a smart man and can figure out most anything. Jaylena is doing a lot of what she doesn’t have experience in but she’s determined to figure it out. I do think you should try to get some kind of access road up to the tiny house though.
