Hey, did you know the Timeless Vitamin C+E Ferulic acid serums are non-complianced for the UK & EU due to the exceptionally high concentrations of Ethoxydiglycol in the formulas? The UK and EU cosmetics safely regulations state that only a max. of 2.6% concentration is allowed in non spay or leave on products. www.legislation.gov.uk/eur/2009/1223/annex/III# As it's the 2nd ingredient in the formulas even before the ascorbic acid at 20% or 10% concentrations, it could be in the serums at nearly 10 times the safely limit allowed. I think you need to consider this before you recommend the serums to your UK & EU audience
Your timing is immaculate! I’m just returning to Vit C - my skin has changed so much during menopause that I decided to try it again and just bought the Mary & May niacinamide vit c brightening masks - the cleanser sounds nice x
I used to use various Vitamin C serums from The Ordinary that were recommended on this channel but never saw a difference in my skin. Currently using Naturium vitamin C (also recommended on this channel a while ago, don’t remember why it was discussed). I don’t notice results with this either, but I have a lifetime of discoloration/age spots that topical treatments probably won’t touch. I’m impressed with the packaging so will stick with it as long as I’m able. 👍🎉
Maybe you should try the pure vitamin C serum. The ordinary one is Vitamin C derivative, which does not need to be stored in fridge after opening. You can know if the vitamin C serum is pure or derivative by checking the storage instruction. Pure vitamin C needs to be stored in fridge to avoid the oxidisation. Based on my personal experience, pure vitamin C is way more effective than vitamin c derivative. There are a lot of brands offering pure vitamin c serum. Cosrx one is good. Probably you can consider that. One more thing I would like to highlight is that vitamin c derivative is more gentle on skin. Some people cannot take pure vitamin c but have no issue with vitamin c derivative. If you skin has no issue with pure vitamin c, then pure vitamin c is better
I LOVE Vitamin C now. It was one of those ingredients I just couldn't tolerate until coming across the Timeless, which I'm now up to their 20% and still no irritations. They are the Holy grail for my skin. Why I've still not tried their other products I have no idea lol. 🍋 🍋 🍋

Because of you, I'm using Allies of Skin vitamin c. I've been struggling with acne. Adapalene helped at the beginning but didn't clear it up. I turned to Promise keeper and THAT has been AMAZING! Now I'm using the vitamin c and it really is helping to get rid of the dark spots that are left behind. I'm in awe at how much better my skin is looking now!!!! Its expensive, but I just can't go back!!! So thank you so, so much for helping me in my journey!!!! Much love!

I would love to try the Dr Sam one but it’s just a tad bit expensive especially with taxes and shipping but I’ve seen influencers raving about it. My skin is super sensitive to Vitamin C in pure form but I am happy I can use the Numbuzin 5 serum with 3 vitamin Cs alongside glutathione and tranexamic acid. It’s affordable and helps to keep my routine a little simpler! I don’t know if I can resist just trying that Torriden one though, let’s see how long I can hold out….. ! Happy weekend lovely ❤xx

🍋🍋 twice a day. Geek & Gorgeous in the morning from Monday till Thursday, in the evening Numbuzin 5, Timeless 20 during the weekend and a Goodall mask once a week. I must admit, I did not check on the INCI list but it smells soo good.

🍋 can’t have a day without my Volition Neroli Complex Crème with Vitamin C and Began Collagen. It soaks into my skin so well that you could almost forget you put anything on! I also have their Golden Eye Brightening Serum with Vitamin C and Niacinamide

Rob thank you for posting this!! Had issues with vit c so I bought timeless of eBay and the black writing was rubbing off the packaging after use. I asked on your live if that would indicate it’s a fake & a viewer said they bought from timeless website and it’s never happened to them. She directed me to buy from timeless website. I tried to buy it but as I’m in uk it wouldn’t let me 🙈.
I love vitamin C...it is a must have in my skin care routine. .however a few of my 'Skin Care Buddies (SCB's)' have told it does nothing for them...🍋🍋🍋
That Allies VC serum is so good. It was my first time using a product with glutathione and I’ve been a fan of the combination of ingredients ever since. Thank you for turning me on to that. 🍋

@@MadAboutSkin I've tried the Naturium one and its good, but not on the same level as the Allies one. I've been getting my daily glutathione hit from the Numbuzin #5 toner. I do like that one quite a bit.

🍋I've been alternating days between Naturium's vitamin C and Niod CAIS-3. I can't use the Naturium formulation daily without a lot of irritation and skin barrier problems it seems. So far I've been good with alternating days with a high dose of copper peptides. I have been beginning to wonder if there might be a better system for me though. xx PS I'd be interested in an updated Copper Peptide video with the new offerings from Maelove and Naturium (the encapsulated forms). I love CAIS-3 but if I could spend less and get the same results, that would be amazing. It just seems the strongest and the best, but maybe that's not true anymore? x
I really want a properly airless packed vit c and lots of US folks rave about the Timeless one. but according to the Timeless website, they don’t sell direct in the UK because the concentration of Ethoxydiglycol they use is beyond the permitted limited in EU. I wish they’d reformulate without it because it’s a fraction of the price of the ones on your list!

I would say the fresh batch vitamin c by Dermatica is the closest.. its a similar price point and you dont need to have a subscription anymore you can just buy one unit which is great x
For whatever reason we can’t get the Paula’s Choice C/Glutathione in Australia. We can get the Allies one but only via 3rd party retailers and it’s waaay too pricey😭😭. Ok sure I used to buy NIOD products, but just cannot afford that level of stuff any more

Oh thats unusual but it might not be the ingredient for you if you dont want this to happen.. have you tried derivatives as this might not give the same issue x

Hiya Rob! Im definitely a devoted G&G Vitamin C person. Been using it for years now and love it. Could you use the Torriden brightening ampoule with the G& G or is it an either or case? Im fast falling in love with Torriden products so wondered about this as I dont think I could give up using my G&G. This is a great video with loads of information and advise. I never see anyone talking about Paulas Choice Antioxidant serums, they have few of those in different lines for different skin types and all of them contain tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate I think, among other stuff I tried two of those but thinking about switching to Sunday Riley one because I like oily consistency
I like the PC antioxidants but I dont like the prices, I think a lot of people feel they are over priced for what they are which is maybe why they dont get many mentions online.. good products though.. love x
Sadly my favourite vitamin C is no longer available, I think the company went out of business during the pandemic. I have found the Geek and Gorgeous a good replacement, although I cannot put it on my eyelids as I could with my former favourite…I might try mixing it with a little Aloe vera gel and see if that stops the G+G from running into my eyes. The new G+G serum has lightened the dark circles under my eyes, quite fast after I started using it.
I haven’t found the right one yet but I’m loving at the moment using copper peptides and I don’t know how to incorporate vitamin C with my copper peptides cos I’m sure they don’t mix well xx
Really random am i able to use the from rice toner with vitamin c i see niacinamide in the ingredients and I'm worry about the claims that it cancels out vitamin c? Maybe a future video idea in this topic? 🙂
Its totally fine to use niacinamide with vitamin c there was a myth you couldn't going around online a few years ago but this has been disproved many times :) hope this helps x

🍋🍋🍋Thank you Rob for this very great video👍🏻Vit C is a constant in my skincare routine, but ascorbic acid is a bit irritating to me, so I prefer THD and I am currently using Dr Sam Flawless Vit C, really a good product. Years ago, as a mask, I used LixirSkin Vit C Paste (10% ascorbic acid) revitalizing, smoothing and brightening. Wish you a wonderful weekend. Ciao😊

Hello to you, what do you think about Roc Glow Night Serum Capsules 20% vit c ( L.A.A) ? not to dear.I think Elisabeth Arden has capsules with LAA in capsules as well. So far, for me that galenic has been so efficient for dark, sun pigmentations.take care.
I started using Vit C serums at least 5-6 yrs ago, the Timeless was the first one, I finished the bottle and didn't notice any difference, I repurchased, finished it, and same results... long story short, I've tried Vit C serums from different brands ever since without fail and my skin looks the same 😁 everybody talks about their skin glowing, dark spots fading, etc., and I just can't see any of that 🤷♀️ I guess I use it out of habit bcuz, why not? 😆... love your channel!✌️😜🍋
I have hyperpigmentation on my arms like dark spots and no doctor is able to figure out why they just appeared suddenly. What should i try using that could help me get rid of those because i am super insecure about them its about 8 years 😢
Hi hun, I would start with a high strength urea cream which will help smooth things out and fade them.. a 20% option would be the best and wont cause too much irritation. love

Rob thank you for posting this!! Had issues with vit c so I bought timeless of eBay and the black writing was rubbing off the packaging after use. I asked on your live if that would indicate it’s a fake & a viewer said they bought from timeless website and it’s never happened to them. She directed me to buy from timeless website. I tried to buy it but as I’m in uk it wouldn’t let me 🙈.
I love vitamin C...it is a must have in my skin care routine. .however a few of my 'Skin Care Buddies (SCB's)' have told it does nothing for them...🍋🍋🍋

🍋I've been alternating days between Naturium's vitamin C and Niod CAIS-3. I can't use the Naturium formulation daily without a lot of irritation and skin barrier problems it seems. So far I've been good with alternating days with a high dose of copper peptides. I have been beginning to wonder if there might be a better system for me though. xx
PS I'd be interested in an updated Copper Peptide video with the new offerings from Maelove and Naturium (the encapsulated forms). I love CAIS-3 but if I could spend less and get the same results, that would be amazing. It just seems the strongest and the best, but maybe that's not true anymore? x

I really want a properly airless packed vit c and lots of US folks rave about the Timeless one. but according to the Timeless website, they don’t sell direct in the UK because the concentration of Ethoxydiglycol they use is beyond the permitted limited in EU. I wish they’d reformulate without it because it’s a fraction of the price of the ones on your list!

I would say the fresh batch vitamin c by Dermatica is the closest.. its a similar price point and you dont need to have a subscription anymore you can just buy one unit which is great x
For whatever reason we can’t get the Paula’s Choice C/Glutathione in Australia. We can get the Allies one but only via 3rd party retailers and it’s waaay too pricey😭😭. Ok sure I used to buy NIOD products, but just cannot afford that level of stuff any more

Oh thats unusual but it might not be the ingredient for you if you dont want this to happen.. have you tried derivatives as this might not give the same issue x
Heard Vitamin C is more stable when formulated with other antioxidants. Not sure if that includes other vitamin C derivatives 🤔🙂
That does help for sure which is why a lot of brands use antioxidants in their serums.. love x
🍋 ascorbic acid at a low percentage in the am (because of sensitivity due to rosacea) and then derivatives in the pm.

Hiya Rob! Im definitely a devoted G&G Vitamin C person. Been using it for years now and love it. Could you use the Torriden brightening ampoule with the G& G or is it an either or case? Im fast falling in love with Torriden products so wondered about this as I dont think I could give up using my G&G.

I never see anyone talking about Paulas Choice Antioxidant serums, they have few of those in different lines for different skin types and all of them contain tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate I think, among other stuff
I tried two of those but thinking about switching to Sunday Riley one because I like oily consistency
I like the PC antioxidants but I dont like the prices, I think a lot of people feel they are over priced for what they are which is maybe why they dont get many mentions online.. good products though.. love x

Sadly my favourite vitamin C is no longer available, I think the company went out of business during the pandemic. I have found the Geek and Gorgeous a good replacement, although I cannot put it on my eyelids as I could with my former favourite…I might try mixing it with a little Aloe vera gel and see if that stops the G+G from running into my eyes. The new G+G serum has lightened the dark circles under my eyes, quite fast after I started using it.

I haven’t found the right one yet but I’m loving at the moment using copper peptides and I don’t know how to incorporate vitamin C with my copper peptides cos I’m sure they don’t mix well xx

Really random am i able to use the from rice toner with vitamin c i see niacinamide in the ingredients and I'm worry about the claims that it cancels out vitamin c? Maybe a future video idea in this topic? 🙂
Its totally fine to use niacinamide with vitamin c there was a myth you couldn't going around online a few years ago but this has been disproved many times :) hope this helps x

Years ago, as a mask, I used LixirSkin Vit C Paste (10% ascorbic acid) revitalizing, smoothing and brightening.

Hello to you, what do you think about Roc Glow Night Serum Capsules 20% vit c ( L.A.A) ? not to dear.I think Elisabeth Arden has capsules with LAA in capsules as well. So far, for me that galenic has been so efficient for dark, sun pigmentations.take care.
For me I think they are overpriced for what they are and I am not the biggest fan of ROC products but the formulation looks good and stable. love x
I started using Vit C serums at least 5-6 yrs ago, the Timeless was the first one, I finished the bottle and didn't notice any difference, I repurchased, finished it, and same results... long story short, I've tried Vit C serums from different brands ever since without fail and my skin looks the same 😁 everybody talks about their skin glowing, dark spots fading, etc., and I just can't see any of that 🤷♀️ I guess I use it out of habit bcuz, why not? 😆... love your channel!✌️😜🍋

I have hyperpigmentation on my arms like dark spots and no doctor is able to figure out why they just appeared suddenly. What should i try using that could help me get rid of those because i am super insecure about them its about 8 years 😢
