Honestly, Quest going from having PS2 era graphics in most games to having early vive/rift PCVR graphics is pretty incredible
It's just this one game though. Those guys are pulling miracles, and also the game happens mostly in small, enclosed spaces which makes optimizing so much easier. Look at AW2 and AC trailers, those still look pretty damn crappy.
@@b00rak i hope they keep making more games
@@b00rak ? Asgards Wrath 2 looks amazing wdym. Doesn't look as good as the first game for obvious reasons but definitely not crappy.
We have very different standards. Alyx looks amazing, Lone Echo looks amazing, AW2 just looks bad.@@Skittlez323
@@b00rakbreachers look good too
I can't wait to see any games I already own getting Quest 3 updates what an awesome bonus.
This is AAA-tier optimization. It looks almost as good as PCVR. Kind of scary, really.
Even with the huge bump in graphics performance I can’t understand how they can increase the number of rendered pixels by 6x at the same time as adding graphical features? That’s incredible.
Its crazy
srsly mind-blowing. I used to play TWD S&S on PS4 Pro psvr1 and it was pretty much this same level of geometry and texture detail, except like on Quest 2 it also had no dynamic shadow casting. And here we are, a mobile chip in a very compact form factor doing what my screaming hot big console box from 2017 wouldn't do... the times are a-changin, desktop chip fellows...
This will look much better with the increased pixel count actually
I mean you have to optimize like crazy to get this kind of fidelity on a mobile chipset.. desktop's ain't goin' anywhere. Desktop's won the console war.
@@viroxd convenience, mobility won over graphics race. Graphics have been more than adequate for quite some time in gaming. The only ones still paying attention are very old farts with enough money for expensive niche hardware for their hobbies - the rest will be playing mobile for cheap with good enough graphics
Red Matter 2 is beautiful on the quest 3. It’s a miracle it looks this good. It’s also disappointing that not a single other vr game looks this good on Quest 3.
Ehat of quest pro?
So we’re basically somewhere between a Switch and a PS4. Pretty happy with this. More time with the headset means more optimized games with better graphics.
I wonder if this'll somehow affect some games like VR Chat as well? Hmm
Doubt it as VRChat users will find a way to create unoptimized content for the app on Quest 3, including avatars & graphics. The same goes for the PC version, even though it's what many of us VRChat users prefer.
@@TJ_Kemp Haha, yeah you're probably right.. But the "wild west" kind of approach to VR Chat is also the part that I love about it.. There's soo many contents and hidden gems in it, at least I know for sure that I won't end up in a "content drought" like in many other VR Games out there.
@@TJ_Kempexecpt the fact the quest 3 has the power of a lowend computer, if my little shitty laptop with 4 gb of ram van handle it im sure the quest 3 can given its graphical and processing upgrades, we could at far least get some custom shaders or lighting or perhaps some particles which could easily be limited
Pwolalalala 😮
Can anyone confirm this by using both devices, trying them out and seeing them with their own eyes? Please share your experience with us, we ask you.
I’m playing it rn, it’s incredible, never seen these graphics on a quest before
Yea man! Just got the quest 3 and can confirm this game Is the real deal. I still have my quest 2 witch haven't sold yet, and downloaded this same game to test side by side, its tuff because you almost forget what you saw a second ago in each headset. I even try finding the same object to compare it too. There's more detail in the reflections and over all sharpness I think the lenses alone on the quest 3 have a lot to do with it.
Is the storige the same
The base model is 128gb the other one is 512gb
cooool
0:17 16x the detail
Kinda rather wait for PC drivers appearing for the PSVR2.
Lmao..
Shoot.. anyone wanna buy my Quest 2? I need money for the 3
PCVR:
fake news, its higher res but not 4x LMAO
It's not fake news
The textures are 4k not the render resolution.
@@elite-forcecinema3671 i already ordered 2 of these - but this is still a misleading video.
Quest2 == LCD with 1832 x 1920 pixels per eye
Quest3 == LCD with 2064 x 2208 pixels per eye
While these increase is one that I am excited about, its misleading to say its a 4x increase in pixel density.
I could find many more false claims in this video - do your own research!!

@@BakerWase they are talking about Red Matter 2 RENDERING resolution, not SCREEN resolution.
