amazing what Meta and specially the good developers can achieve for a standalone VR headset. The freedom and the convenience to play without expensive computers and cables it is awesome. I have an expensive computer and tried many different pcvr headsets but I think that with the current graphic cards abusive prices and other expensive headsets like the Aero or Beyond and the extra cost of buying base stations and controllers, it is getting harder to justify, unless you're a really enthusiast.
I have quest 1, and I want to upgrade and play high graphics games, shall I get gaming pc to play pcvr with my quest 1 or get quest 3? I can only afford one of them. The pc I would get is RTX4060 i5 13400f 16gb ram. I was thinking maybe quest 3 standalone is powerful but not as pcvr besides if I got a pc I would have access to all high end games on steam with my quest 1

Hopefully they'll update the original Red Matter game for Quest 3 as well, as it is also a great game (for those into these sorts of narrative-driven puzzlers at least). The standalone ver. of Red Matter still remains one of, if not THE, best-looking Quest 2 games as-is, but they could likely take it a notch further on the Q3, which would be nice for those that haven't experienced it yet.
Studio said red matter was not thought to be upgraded and they had a lot of issues with red matter port to quest and quest 2. Red matter 2 is a completely different story, it was made with upgradeability in mind so that's the reason why they were able to update red matter 2 so fast
It would have been interesting to get your input and which version is the best in your opinion or is it significant at all. From these videos the PSVR 2 version looks the best but the Quest 3 lenses are better, so it's not the same as what you see in the headset.
also in my test the psvr2 ver is somehow a little too dark in darker areas because of oled panel. i know it is great to have perfect black but some areas are too dark and you cant saw anything in that areas. in quest 3 everything is way more clear and you can see more detail in that areas. this is also happend in other games with a lot of dark areas.
Yes, it has. Psvr2 use OLED screen, while Quest 3 uses LCD. However the thing that @brokensword2621 mentioned is not true. The scene is too dark because of bad gamma settings and not because of oled.
Contrast and colors on the psvr2 are amazing. I hope we get F1 2023 and assetto corsa competizione on the psvr2. And things like youtube vr and 3d movies. Sony have to do it now!!!
Yes but the thing is the games on ps5 are designed in HDR and on psvr2 u playing in HDR with OLED. The OLED shows advantage mostly in HDR thats why quest 3 is overhyped. I can't believe I haven't played this game yet; I'll save it for my Quest 3, which I preordered (and it got shipped today, woohoo!). I can't wait! It's a beautiful game. Does the PSVR look better because it has blacker blacks so more contrast, or is that just my screen (I've never tried PSVR)?
Quest 3 512 meg version cost me almost $700 with tax, plus u have to get a battery head strap because battery life sucks, by the time u get the accessories u need your upto $850 $900 so not too far from the cost of a PlayStation 5 and VR headset combo. Which quest cannot compete with the psvr2 image quality. But you don’t have any mura on quest either, but grey black levels…. So there’s a trade off for sure.
Do you have augmented reality/passthrough on the psvr? I'm sure the screen looks amazing on the psvr but also love how you're not tethered to anything on the Quest 3. You can literally walk around your house shooting at zombies as they come breaking through your door and come through your windows.
I got the 128GB version since I primarily play on PCVR, so the other costs dont apply to me. Even with the PC out of the conversation, I've spent a total of $600 on the headset after accessories, and have 40GB of free space after buying and downloading every single game I'm interested in (including Asgards Wrath which is like 30GB). Also, its a trade off between if you want OLED and fresnel lenses or LCD with pancake lenses(and the higher native resolution of the Quest 3). You get used to the black levels on the Q3, you dont get used to the blurriness of the PSVR 2 headset.
Will it be a month of comparing video's of old games on all platforms or new big titles coming to the vr community in general? Guess the first. The quest 3 is clearer and sharper but the psvr2 has better hdr & contrast and when you compare the price for psvr2 vs quest 3, I pick the psvr2 all day, everyday.
If you don’t already own a PS5, PSVR2 is a lot more expensive than a Quest 3 since it’s useless without a processor. Even if you do have a PS5 a base Quest 3 is $50 cheaper than a PSVR2 headset.
My PSVR 2 blows any other headset away. I agree, for the money its the best. People continue to ignore the fact that if you bought a PS5 + PSVR 2 you not only get one of the best VR headsets around, but you get a PS5 that will get 100x the hours used of a Quest 3.
I tried the 30 min free trial on Quest 3 after already playing on PSVR2. I couldn't not buy it again after seeing how much better it looks on Quest 3. If any one is wondering which version to get i would absolutely recommend the Quest 3 version.
I got all 3 devices and for sure psvr2 is better. How would people doubt that consider that size and the graphical power of ps5. Pretty impressive on the quest version though
I just tried the game on quest 3 and immediatly after on PC with a 4070, i don't know how they managed to do it but it looks almost the same, i say almost because i know that on pc it HAS to look better, but if i'd do a blind test i don't know if i could tell the difference, i saw the difference with Hubris for example, but Red Matter 2 is pure magic

Gotta say on Quest 3, I can’t tell any difference when changing eye resolution in games for pc. I turn it up to 500% (RTX 4090) game handles the same at like the same so I don’t think it’s even working.
Considering that one can be brought to a friends house, or used in your living room or whatever, the standalone version immediately jumps up to #1 in my book.
PSVR2 looks the best then it's the Quest 3 then it's the PC in my opinion. The PC had way too much bloom lighting. But they all looked great. And the Quest being a standalone makes it so much better and more affordable than the rest
Well, judging by these three videos the PCs framerate is smooth as butter and the PSVR2 isn't far behind (they both look identical graphics wise) but the Meta Quest 3 is noticeably laggy .. very low FPS and the graphics are just a tad worse.
I really wanted to love PSVR2...but there are so many quality issues...stuck pixels, dead pixels, mismatched oled panels, defects in the lenses, dust under lenses. I've had it all...If you are sensible to that kind if stuff, it will be a real struggle to get a PSVR2 unit that is perfect. The other downsides are the mura immersion-breaking dirty screen effect, fresnel lenses and re-projection. Mura makes certain games like Kayak Mirage or RE Village almost unplayable:( While the fresnels are a very good ones and the edge clarity is better than quest 2, they are a pain to set correctly, any minor misalignment will cause a very blurry image. Re-projection - well, while 60->120hz sounds cool in GT7, it is not nearly as good as running the game natively at 90hz. The PSVR2 colours are good, vibrant and blacks are amazing (but near blacks are awful due to mura). My main issue was the quality of the PSVR2...if you have a gadget paranoia and are susceptible to even the minor image defects, you will struggle with return upon return only to find out more defects. So, either skip the PSVR2 or accept that the amount of flawless PSVR2 units is perhaps 1 out of 10. I will miss GT7 VR though😢
It looks a lot better on Quest 3. Very slightly smoother turning on psvr2 being 120hz vs 90 on Quest 3 but it just looks very noticeably better on Quest 3. You're still often moving psvr2 up and down to seem to want to get a sweeter spot and it's just clearer all round on Quest. Colours might be a little stronger on vr2 due to OLED but they're still sO good on Quest and the graphics are a lot sharper. I played it first on vr2 and loved it, then played it on Quest 3 and wished that'd been my 1st play through. I would absolutely recommend the Quest 3 version over VR2 if you have that option. I didn't want to buy the game again as I thought the Quest version couldn't be as good as VR2 but Quest has a 30 min free trial. After that I couldn't not buy it again. Totally worth it.

Maybe "grey" but its a very dark grey. Your brain acclimates to it. WHen you have no point of reference, and you're being told THIS is black...it is black. It's black enough.
(Usually between quest 3 and Psvr2) I respect the opinions but I don't respect the fact that a person says that one is better than the other without mentioning that the opinion is theirs. In my opinion I like the quest 3 better but I will respect other people's opinions
You can say that, but this isn't a matter of art style, but rather graphical fidelity. With that in mind, the Quest 3 version is objectively better. Not saying that the PSVR version is bad, however when the textures are worse on a tethered system, its obvious where the argument is going to go.
@@iwantalot naaaa. a lot of mura effect in dark areas and sometimes so grainy in psvr2. also a true black in oled panels kill some details in that dark areas. i preferer a pc Ver with quest 3 as pcvr headset. but i admit the graphices on quest 3 is really good despite quest 3 is a mobile headset.

Good video, but not how it is thru the lenses. Quest 3 blacks are grayish
Maybe "grey" but its a very dark grey. Your brain acclimates to it. WHen you have no point of reference, and you're being told THIS is black...it is black. It's black enough.
@@insertnamehere4419 but it's so much fun to wear a headset just to stare at darkness.... 😂 People and their oled. 😆
так что лучше? ПК, псвр 2 квест 3 ? Я просто не местный
psvr2, pc for graphics, quest 3 for being cord free.
It's more subjective (По-субективно е)
👍👍
This is very subjective. It is not necessary to "discuss" this subject as I see a lot of discussion (norm
Yes

Ik🎉🎉
Scusate ma scrivere pc senza sapere visore è scheda grafica il confronto non serve a nulla ❤❤❤❤ps se fosse quest non è pc 😊
pc master racers =)
the quest 3 looks better than psvr 2
😂😂
Psvr2 120 FPS, quest 3 90 FPS . Psvr2 true blacks
Lets not get ahead of our selves lol
@@brokensword2621nah you're delusional the PSVR2 is superior to the Quest 3 version
The Psvr 2 is the Best Version. You See the Oled Display, the Reflections and the way better shadows.
PSVR 2 has fresnel lenses-- its gonna blurrier than the other headsets.
