Albert Kim thank you very much for getting back to me. I’m waiting on a Beta95X V2 to be delivered and was trying to decide between a naked Hero 6 or the Insta360 Go. Guess I’m getting the Insta360 Go since I want audio as well.
Thanks for this. I just want to ask what power source you are using in powering up the naked GoPro? I use the connector that comes with the betafpv package but the LED is not blinking while recording.
Hey Albert, PLEASE HELP! - Can you please give advice or recommendation regarding the situation of increasingly reported "burned" naked GoPros? Are all BEC boards affected or at risk? Do you have a solution?
Not sure what I can do about this. Some of it may be recent QC problems. It seems the quality of the BEC may be an issue regarding voltage spikes. Some have added small caps to the 5v output on the BEC board. All I can say is that I have four of these (both v1.0 and v1.1) on Hero 6's and all are still working. I even have a couple more on Hero 7's with no issues. I'm fairly certain a fair number of these failures are from crashes that send a huge voltage pike into the BEC board that then frys the GoPro board. Regarding other boards, there are ones from Flywoo, FullSpeedRC, Geelang, etc. I have not used any of those so can't really comment on how good/bad they are.
quick question. I saw you powered the naked with two wires soldered to the back of the - and +. What battery do you use or the plug set up for it. I wanted to switch my naked gopro to other quads but dont want to solder the three wires to the fight board like the beta95 v2. Thanks
That plug goes straight to the battery leads. I power it off the main flight battery (2s to 4s) and the BEC on the internal board converts the voltage for the GoPro.
Albert Kim I’m not getting how the plug is running from the battery. From the video looks like you have multi plugs going into the flight battery. Also looks like a 1S plug for the GoPro. Could you add a link where I could find or make these. Really would be helpful. Thanks.
i still dont understand the argument against putting it on a 5". i've been flying one on my 5" since the day it hit the pyro store. i havent had a single issue. With the right protection its perfectly fine. I'd never go back to running a full size gopro. saving 100g on a 5" is noticeable.
Basically, most people (not you) expect this to survive the kind of crashes you get on a 5-inch just like the full size GoPro without adding additional protection. It's just about unrealistic expectations, that's all.
@@AlbertKimTV yes i see. i just put mine in a ultra beefy tpu mount. even if the mount is like 10g+ its still less weight then a full size. so thats why i always say if you put it in a really ultra beefy mount it will probably survive anything. but you have to have the ability to design one i guess.
@@AGILISFPV I had to make my own in fusion360 and 3dprint it. Theres some tutorials out there. The gopro is pretty square so its not to hard to make something work.
The power should be battery voltage 2S to 4S. How to wire the yellow wire is documented on the BetaFPV website on the product support page for the BEC board.
Yes, I think I made a video where you can see this case with the 7 black in it, but I can't find it now. 3,000+ videos on my channel... too hard to find anything now. UA-cam search sucks...
I have several that still work fine. However, they were not crashed before or after stripping naked. I killed a couple in some crashes. They don't like crashes. If you're a beginner pilot, I don't recommend this. You'll just break it. If you don't crash and the gopro was working before your stripped it and assuming you properly built it, it should last a long time.
That is a very cool pricey camera. I would make it lighter too if I paid $200 for it. Very cool stuff. You should do a review on descent whoop cameras for poor people. I bet you will get a bunch of views.
@@AlbertKimTV I will watch that Thanks. I see some of the stupid channels that are really successful and I really want channels like yours (that actually offer more than just entertainment) to be super successful. You are doing a superb job but you and other hobby/drone channels deserve so much more
Yeah, I've seen this problem from a few other people. They even tried the NamelessRC board but it didn't fix it. It seems their main board got damaged with stripping it down.
In my case it was just pure stupidity 🙈 all on me for now. Didn't turn it on before trying to press record. I forgot to do the auto on mod. Now it mostly work like it should. Won't always give the green blinks when I turn it on so it just end up changing modes when I press the second time but I can live with that. Just have to remember to always press record after pressing mode/on to clarify that its on and in the right mode. Other than that its working good.
@@MyAlexandre38 Solder a wire from MODE to REC on the betafpv board. then the camera will turn on automatically when you plug in the battery. juast a short press on the rec button and the green led should start flashing green. if you dont want t do this. how to power the gopro without soldering to the esc
Hi everyone. Has any kit (case and power board) for gopro 5 naked
I wish they still made the session 5 so we could get decased sessions. That would be the ultimate.
From your lips to gods ears
I've done that :-) On a 3inch!!
Can use for GoPro Hero 5 black?
Would this work for a 7 silver?
is it possible to cut a litte bit plastic and attach the front display?
Where can I get one in Europe?
Do they still record audio once stripped down?
Not sure about other models but the Hero 6 Black loses the microphone when stripped down.

Do you have something now to put ND filters on this ?
I use the ones from BETAFPV
Looks so clean ! 🔥
which do you think is better, naked 6 with realsteady or naked 7 with hypersmooth?in cinematic flying?
6 with RSgo is way better looking but 7 isn't that bad either.
Nice as always man. I heard in some videos about the wifi with this mode will burn? Have you had any issues about that?
Thank you for your videos 😊😉
I have not had this problem. Mine are still working with no antenna. All four of them.
