An extroverted introvert is for someone who feels more introverted at heart, but has extroverted tendencies or extroverted habits. For example, somebody who gets tired after socializing but still enjoys going out of their way to meet and talk to people. I’m really extroverted around my family and close friends, but at school, and around new people, I’m very very quiet, shy, and keep to myself. I can only be confident around my friends. I told my family that I’m actually really quiet at school and they never believe me, they have always seen me as a social butterfly.
This is kind of the same, but Im more introverted with my family, but some of my close friends dont believe im more introverted than extroverted

I'm extroverted around my family but in school I'm super shy even around my "friends". Idk if I can call them that because they don't usually talk to me unless their best friend isn't at school. I hate beeing in that position :( I mostly make friends in the internet but my family says I should meet up with my "real friends" and not play games eith friends on the internet. I haven't told them that I don't really have friends because idk I don't want to. I hope that when I get older some things change...

I always had that conflict in my head, "am I really an introvert? Because I'm definitely not an extrovert but I like to socially a lot with my friends and I don't quite fit in the introvert category". So I always had the idea of "levels" between introvert and extrovert. Now I watched this video and I relate to EVERYTHING, now I finally know I'm an introverted extrovert haha.

This perfectly describes me. When my dad insisted I was an more of an extrovert and not an introvert I was so baffled. Even my brother knew that I’m more of an introvert around people that aren’t friends or family but my parents are convinced I’m extroverted enough that I have no problems making new friends

Extroverted introvert is an introvert with a little bit of extroverted side and introverted extrovert is an extrovert with a tiny bit of introversion. Extroverted introvert and ambivert are actually two different things. Ambiverts draw energy from being alone and from being in public while extroverted introverts draw energy from being alone but they have extroverted tendencies. They actually really enjoy hanging out with people and being social, but when they’re reserves are dry, they have to leave immediately.
@Russell Newbold Yes and no. Extroverts are generally social. That's where they get their energy from. There are shy extroverts, but they still need to be around people. A stereotype of an extrovert would be going out of their way to meet new people. Extroverted introvert is a proper title. A good scenario is an Introvert going to a friend's party because they like hanging out with all their friends and they like being around people, but a couple hours later they don't want to see anyone ever again (exaggeration). That's an extroverted introvert. A regular introvert would go to the party but would rather stay home, not because they're shy, but because that's their preference. Social Introvert does work as a title for this, but it's synonymous with Extroverted Introvert.

I ALWAYS had this happen to me. It was one of these 2 options, the teacher would either IGNORE ME whilst I'm holding my hand up forever and even switching harms because my other arm starts cramping up, or the teacher specifically only picks out the students who did NOT raise their hand and that's when I get picked. As someone who's dream job it is to be a teacher that takes mental health as a priority, things like that have always been ridiculous to me.
I’m definitely an introvert, but I always, ALWAYS seem to find myself in social setting where I am actively participating. Whether that be school clubs, sports, hanging out with friends, or talking with my fellow classmates, I always seem to be social and active. Honestly, probably would 100% throw them off if they found out I was actually an introvert.

I've also had past incidents where I've shared info I kept to myself with a friend and they just kept bringing it up out loud. This is why I never share stuff until *I* feel it's safe.
This applies to any person ever. Unless you've reached a certain point in your "spiritual" path and you understand that the only "real" thing in a person is love, or "the power of creation" . All the other things are just biases you've gathered from your surroundings. I put some things in quote marks, because everyone calls it differently. "God" "unconditional love" "jesus" "the big bang" "light" "a stardust consciousness" "the collective consciousness" some people say we are different aspects of the universe interacting with each other. Brain scans resemble the structure of the universe. And even imitates the workings of it. Have you ever wondered how your thoughts are making this reality? Or how dreams seem like a whole reality? If you look at the holographic universe theory(which is based on quantum mechanics) , the universe works in the same way a brain does. Like a hologram. You take Lil piece of your brain out, and it keeps the whole data it had before. Maybe in reduced quality. Data is stored all over your brain and it is as if its everywhere at the same time. Like. We live in 4 dimensions. The brain has information stored like, 4d, but without the time or something. If you've read some quantum mechanics, this Lil particle, the smallest possible one, it behaves like a particle when it's observed and turns to a wave/frequency when it's not observed. It doesn't behave like matter. In a sense, we create this reality we see around us. And by the looks of it, we are realities just as real, as the reality we observe. Bruh. What the fuck is real then? Yall better start meditating and spread that love. That's all there is to enjoy. Just create your reality and vibe bro. I apologise to who ever is the person that receives this. I'm stoned as fuck, it's 4:52am. I don't really even know what I wrote there at this point. But man. I'm an Entp, so I definetly know what it is to feel like a mask. Or masks. Any interaction you do is just a tool to coexist with others and share wellbeing. The most important thing is to love yourself first, then you can radiate good vibes to others. Society often confuses introverted people with shy, awkward weirdos having low self-esteem. Well, these things somehow overlap, but in fact introverts often are very articulate, confident, with awesome sense of humour. They just don't want to hang out a lot and value privacy and time for themselves.
This mentality has barred me from getting jobs even though I beat the tests faster than most. I'm not shy, I just don't have much to say.
Sounds more like me than the person described in the video. I don't want to get invited and I don't care if I am left out but if you can drag me to the party I will be the most talkative and tell the most jokes and stories or be at least runner up. I will also be one of the last to leave. Person in the video sounds uptight, neuritic and insecure. For me I just have a lot of work to get done, there is so much enjoyable stuff to do by myself, so many thoughts to think, books to read, etc., I just don't want to leave any of it to socialize. But when I do I go all out and always have a great time. It us a little tiring though.

Here’s an interesting theory I thought of, at least for me. I feel like I was meant to be an extrovert but because I grew up socially neglected by everyone, mostly in school, I became used to it and then developed into an introvert. Could be wrong though🤷♂️
You're probably right. I don't know what I was as a child honestly I was the quiet kid in class and I was totally fine with being this introverted as a child so I think I'm a 100% introvert.

For me it's actually the other way around. As a kid I was really shy but I became extroverted or more bubbly because I wanted to be liked by other people.
I'm an introvert and I know that, everyone knows that. I'm a loner and have absolutely no friends all because I'm extremely shy and don't know how to make friends or how to open up to people. But the thing is, I feel like I'm an extrovert on the inside. I like doing extrovert things. I wanna make friends, I like being around people, I prefer group projects rather than individual ones. I really want to do extrovert things but I just can't because I'm an introvert. I feel like an extroverted soul trapped in an introverted body...

I know very well how you feel. What I tried is to challenge myself to be open and kind to people and to just open my mouth. At first I had a really hard time with opening my mouth and letting other people in. Because I wanted to change, I wrote down these thoughts that I thought would help me: be kind, be yourself, open up, don't think to much (just do it), I can do it, relax and have fun. I noticed that when I reminded myself of those thoughts before a conversasion, that it really helped me to have a positive mindset. I also got a positive respons back. This may seem very scary at first and you may be afraid to 'get rejected' but that is fine, maybe that person is also scared to make new friends or that person just doesn't fit with your character. And honestly this skill takes time, effort and practice. But when you try and make an effort, people will see you in a different/positive light and after that you may have gained a new friend :)
Right now I still think it is scary to open up to others but it has gotten a lot better by challenging myself to start/actively participate in a conversation. I am also still working on it but I am happy with my improvement. I hope that my advice will help you, it will take time and it is going to be scary. But i will be worth it :)

Lmao im a introvert but i have alot of nice friends, alot of them were extroverts that befriended me, and some are introverts i felt i could talk to... But try to find other people like you trust me :^)

No no no that’s not it. Ambivert is an in between, not a balance between the differences.
An extroverted introvert is what is listed in the video. An introverted extrovert would be somewhat of an opposite. An ambivert would be a mix of the two, not necessarily select opposing traits
@@leah8894 It makes sense to some extent but an ambivert doesn't mean to be right in the middle, you can be more of an extrovert than an introvert but you still have introvert-ness, which means you're a more extroverted ambivert, this is just how my logic works
The pure fact that i like being social but only sometimes, it all makes sense now!

I'm an introvert at heart, but I enjoy going to parties (it's fun cause I love dancing and singing with friends), gossiping with people, drawing attention to myself (I do it most at home with my family)
I relate to all of these but “here me roar” and “feeling left out” hit way too hard. I feel like I just aren’t recognised in the group. Always walking on the grass or behind them trying to make conversation but they are always stuck in their own. One annoying thing is sometimes when I walk with two go of friends and another person joins I always get pushes to the side but then somehow another person is able to fit on and I just feel left out.
I get talked over ALOT and ignored a lot too. Sometimes I just leave my friends at lunch and go into a bathroom stall or somewhere away from them just because I like alone time. But it’s always at those moments where they start wondering where I am and just come to start a conversation excluding me where I just wasn’t to be by myself
Yeah so I think they planned a day out two of my closest friends and I didn’t get an invite so... I wasn’t gonna go anyways bc of corona but I just feel left out yk like they could of just asked at least. I feel quite selfish saying this but I feel left out a lot it’s been happening many times lately too

If you already did that and it didn't work then I'd consider making some new friends...
That sounds very harsh and it's just my experience but in my first class everyone ignored me, I felt left out and then I got into a new one where the people were just "better" or at least easier to socialize with for me.
Bloed Johan I have a lot of online friends now that I socialise with some that I’ve gotten close to and wouldn’t talk over with me. Tho I’ve always wanted to get a new group of friends but I’m still attached to them

Could you maybe maintain to care about both? (In your area) Like trying to find new friends while still hanging out with your current ones? Idk but I feel like it is easier to detach yourself if you already have something solid going on.

@@Psych2go I can relate to all of them highly, but for most, it would have to be 1, 4, 7, 8, 9. It's weird seeing them all said, I thought it was just me being off with people. But now it has given me more of an understanding, that it isn't just me. Your videos always help a ton!

That guy an ambivert is very different, they can switch between being an extrovert in social situations to being an introvert at home. They’re comfortable in both settings
