    I, like many other of your viewers, are GLAD that you are posting regularly again Steve !!!
    We are about the same age, and I enjoy when you share a bit about your past, family life .... It makes me think back also, (about my own life, and the way things around us all are changing almost daily, now) .... Strange times .... You matured early in life, well thought out future, took care of business, family, and were very financially responsible .... 👍👍👍 And now life is comfortable for you .... NICE !!
    I really LIKE this e-bike, (better that the others, or that scooter ...), It's a lot more "practical" in my opinion... more logical, long term !!! I'm gonna look at the website, check out reviews as well ... "Thanks" Steve ... (Rick from Massachusetts)

    I've worked at the Flamingo too, (playing craps). While I don't have any electric vehicles, I have used an electric toothbrush on the strip at various hotels and I think that deserves a mention.

    Yeah welcome back Steve! Interesting life man. Thinking of getting an electric bike…thanks for you input…my first job was working at a submarine sandwich shop called sub machine sandwich shop. I remember I saw the help wanted sign and a gal interviewed me then sent me on my way, said memorize the menu and you have a job. All the sandwiches were named after 30 and 40’ gangsters….two gun Crowley, Al Capone, bugzy Malone, etc…don’t remember all of them today but got the job. I memorized all but one…I was 16…just got my license and was buzzing around in my white scirocco…

    I went on vacation in Florida a few weeks ago. Rental cars are so expensive now, I opted to use the bicycle that the Airbnb guy offered. I found if you have grocery store within 2 mile radius, that is a very liveable distance. I would recommend plenty of basket carrying capacity (panniers, and tail bag, plus handlebar basket.

    I remember making 2.10 an hour. Just bout Everything is made with some kind of petroleum byproduct. Maybe in nevada where it's sunny alot and we can fill the desert with solar panels to create electricity but other states? I don't see how enough electricity can be produced for everyone to drive electric cars, heat our homes etc. I know technology is advancing, maybe some day we'll be there.😀

    Do you think your new bike would be suitable for a guy 6’ 220 lbs like me?

    • @XplorerSteveDIY
      @XplorerSteveDIY  2 роки тому +2

      At 5'10" the seat could be higher for me for the purpose of pedaling but I use the throttle. It is hard to pedal along at 15mph after feeling the wind in your hair/helmet at 36mph. 300 lb is the rating I believe. (check website) and that 1000 watt motor is about the max for street legal ebikes. I think it would be comfortable for a 6' person, used the way I use it.

    • @XplorerSteveDIY
      @XplorerSteveDIY  2 роки тому +1

      The seven speed cassette makes pedaling very capable. Exercise when you want it and the throttle gives you a break now and again.

    Steve, like a lot of commenters below, I'm in a similar life situation as you. I literally LOL'ed when you said you "were in love, and planning your future with your (new) girlfriend"!!! Great comment and been there, done that!
    Question: If you had bought this bike first, would you see a reason to get the other two? Or do you just sort of "collect" them, and like their different features?
    I have a Rad Rover and am itching for something smaller/lighter and faster (although I've got a speed controller on mine to take me to 30mph from 20/24 stock...). This might fit the bill. Nothing wrong with the Rad; just got a little itch I might wanna scratch...
    Thanks. Jim in FL

    • @XplorerSteveDIY
      @XplorerSteveDIY  2 роки тому +2

      In just two years, ebikes have come a long way. To answer your question. I thought the Sur Ron would do it for me, especially with the pedal kit. It is still the best value in ebikes today but because of their speed and nimbleness, they have a reputation with police and draw police attention. Look up LAESK8 on you tube and you will see the younger crowd wheelie and ride on the wrong side of the road and outfit them with 70volt batteries and special controllers. They can go 80mph all modded out. This bike is the bike I wish that other red one was. Faster. More comfortable, and a legal class2.

I find it funny how people prep for a grid down situation but if it happened for any extended period of time the looters will come for all theses goodies advertised on peoples YT Chanel’s best thing to do is prep in silence
