I hope all is well with you, I was just watching some old videos and wondering how you're making out.
I bought turn signal lamp bulbs. The package came with small tubes of the terminal grease. I took one out, showed my wife... "Hey look, a vial of blinker fluid." She was not amused... But I was. :)
That’s a pretty sanitary installation. Back in the ‘60’s I helped my older brother install driving lights, fog lights, etc. He was a semi- professional rally driver. The lights back then were all incandescent and drew serious current. That required some heavy duty relays and a rather large control panel with large heavy- duty switches. We also had to install a much larger alternator on the car. That was not as easy as it sounds. Ah, progress. Looks good, Steve.
That switch kit is what makes the system so easy. But now I have 6 switches and one light set. I have to figure out the other 5. Currently I would like to add some small 2x2 hood lights and some recessed backup lights. That would be 3 down, 3 to go. Or me being practical. Just 3. It's nice to know I have future options left.
Great to see you putting out regular videos
Have a similar things planning for my 3rd gen 4Runner that’s currently getting an engine swap. Always enjoy your content and videos, hope to see you posting again soon! Cheers
Thanks for showing this kit. I'm converting my 1996 LX450 into a camper the same way you have done your 4Runner. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on this channel. I'm a 57 single guy looking forward to some great adventures!
Very cool! Solo Xploring is good at our age.
Enjoyed the video. Really informative. The Led lights are amazing. Thanks Steve!
Nice light accessories for the 4x4 ( 4 Banger X 4 Runner )
And that night Steve, the police had multiple calls to strange moving lights up in the hills of Nevada 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙏
I thought I saw a cruiser heading up while I was heading down 🙄
Great lighting evaluation! Going to switch on my FJ
thanks for the work!
Great video as always very informative
Thanx for sharing the light kit buddy I think u did amazing on this video
Thank you so much for the video. I definitely want to upgrade my headlights on my rig now!
Hey Steve
Thank you for the walk thru.
Great lighting setup.
Awesome video Steve
What a difference the LED's are out there. You make it look very easy even for us amateurs. :)
The switch kit with built in relays and fuses makes it very easy.
Great upgrade!
Happy Sunday Steve…glad to see more videos from you as they are informative and well done…have a great week
Thanks, you too!
It's very important to have good lighting at night when a person heads out with a shovel and a body into the desert...
Uh. Was this a confession?

I think I need some LEDs ! Thanks Steve !
Diggin' those driving lights. Nice mod.
Very brilliant and interesting.
I thought for sure that your engine would have been shiny and clean, glistening with armor all… Another great vid Steve, you are inspiring, easy going with a great sense of humor ✌🏼
Ha! not since the first intro video of the 4runner has the engine been cleaned in that post-purchase detailing. I think the dirt may be holding it all together. Besides, it will just get dirty again.
interesting video Steve … thanks for posting it
That’s a nice kit , thanks for sharing this Steve.
I like the seamless integration of all the parts. Makes it idiot proof and a easier install.
Looks nice!
Ty 🙏
Good Sunday morning Steve !
Same to you Rick.
What is that mounting plate you are using for the Driving lights? Need a way to mount some on mine!
How are you liking the quality of the Auxbeam headlights so far? Well done insight and videos.
Corolla already had pretty good led lights but didnt come with fogs so i got some little pricy but well worth it.... They are street legal too 👍🍀 decided to go with actual amber to instead of just covers they were cheaper than some of the other brands but just as nice
Thanks for the info
Those 7 inch lights would be nice on my FJ Cruiser with factory brush bar. It already has the mounting points for the bracket. I’d like to see the amber accessory lenses!
I did not know they had them until I looked on the website. They appear to be a snap on type of accessory. Fairly cheap so they are a maybe, but not much fog out in the desert SW. Northern costal California may change my mind.
Good testing. I am interested because I have the 9012 headlights in my 2015 Dodge Dart and even with Auxbeam LED's they are simply not very bright. So I'm interested in a set of lightweight Baja lights that I can place in the grille.
Check the weight on the website. I was surprised at the heft and feel. Built like a tank. I saw smaller ones on the site that my have your lightweight requirement. The system was the winner for me. Seamless integration of lights and controller.
I know you never made any promises regarding video posting regularity or subject matter but I have to say I rather enjoyed your 4runner build and was enjoying your outings in the 4runner and rather miss them. Just curious Do you still take it out on camping adventures?
I use it all the time. I know it’s been a while, but subscribing is free and one day you’ll just get a notification hopefully. I’ll probably be looking to start back up here in a couple months when the weather warms up.
@@XplorerSteveDIY I look forward to it! Thanks for replying
