Hey there Steve. It's nice too see you back! I've been missing your travels and DIYs. As a veteran myself, I teared up when I saw you visit your dad's resting place. Take care, be safe, and I'm looking forward to more of your upcoming videos.
I'm So Happy for you to be back on UA-cam Steve Thankyou ❤
Thank you again for taking us along with you to these little towns that a few of us wouldn't be able or has the chance to visit.
And last but not least, that was a great gesture for your late father. Keep the videos coming, Steve.
As a vet I am glad to see you honor your father
Good ro see you remembering you dad.😪
Glad to see Steve is back to being a an explorer
I always look forward to your entertaining and interesting videos. Thank you for being my long-distance travel companion.
Pour warm-hot water w/ soap & lavender Epson Saltz in the bottom of a tote, stand in it and take a cup and pour hot water all over u....awesome simple shower.. I also tried an inflatable baby bath and use that instead of a tote...😁😁
Wow! So much material, so little time. Our local A & W closed about 40 years ago. While bicycling from the Twin Cities to Itasca State Park in 2011 I stopped for a root beer at the Nisswa, MN A & W. Quite busy and badly understaffed. I really respect the gesture for your late father. I know that deal. Dad is interred at Fort Snelling, near MSP Airport. Honors to our fathers.
Thanks for sharing.
One thing is for sure your father is mighty proud of you. 👍👍 Cheers
Steve your spoiling us. Hey I remember the ice cold mugs of root beer on our summer vacations to SoCal.
That's the only way to get it. In the mugs.
Yessssssssssssss!!!! You are alive!
I finally found North Country it was very difficult to search out his new channel
Excellent video, as usual! Thanks, Steve 👍🏼
Thanks for the peekypoo at the Quigley, Chief
Hey. Good to see you back and sticking with me all these years.
Nice travelogue with your newest (?)toy.
Happy to see you doing more videos lately Steve
I remember carhops. There's a place in Norfolk, VA - "Doumar's", where they still exist. Getting harder to find A&W stands, though.
True. I don't see the old stand alone buildings anymore. Mostly in strip malls.
I remember Mom and Dad taking us to the A & W drive in down in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Those frosty mugs of root beer were the best! This was a really good video. Lots to see and experience. Sending respect to your Dad! Thanks for the video! .
I forgot to mention the "Frosty" mug. There was always a little slush in the bottom to finish it off.
That shackle should go through your front wheel when you lock it. So.eone could just pull your handle bars off and slide it right out of the D lock. Great lock by the way, I use the same one on my ebike.
Another great video!
Was stationed at Nellis AFB from 1972 to 1976, when everything was a lot smaller and IMO, better. I believe the last time I drove through Boulder was around 1978. I remember the A&W from back then and obviously Boulder was just a very small community in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for sharing.
I was stationed there to from '99 to '03. This is around the timeframe when I witnessed Vegas and Henderson expanded
It is turning into a swanky little community to be sure. I liked the old BC better.
I was stationed at Nellis, 72 to 74, POL.
Your so wonderful, thanks for the video 🙂
Awesome video Steve
Welcome back
Cool video.
Powerful ending to your video.
You're always a favorite, and taught me a lot in your how to videos. I'm converting a Ford Transit Connect now.
The Transit Connect is a good platform. I am a bit jealous.
Great video
Very much enjoyed the video. Always glad to see a new Xplorer Steve video! Thank you for sharing.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks for doing another one.
Thank you for another great video. I found out after a certain age we don't bounce as well as we used too. That scooter looks like fun but I think I will stick to something with bigger diameter wheels. Thank you again for taking us along. Safe travels.
Thx for the tour!
Enjoyed the tour of the town. Nice ending! Good job Steve!
Love to see the escooter exploration!! Keep it up
Our closest A&W is in Mentone. We stop by on our way to and from our boy scout camp. I do remember when they would bring out the food on the trays, but it's been quite a while. Take care, and God bless.
I was a Carhop at an A&W. It was fun. I grew up in California and moved to Michigan for a couple of years where I was a Carhop, and no, I didn't do it on skates even though I knew how to skate.
cool. Those were the days.
Always enjoy your videos. Glad you’re posting. My dad is also there as well.
Cool van tour. Nice visit!
Hello Steve I'm so happy to see you posting video's again. I always look forward to your Harbor Freight video's. Will you be making one soon? Anyways stay safe out there and have a blessed day.Aloha from Kansas
I think everything will come back in time.
Definitely remember the drive in A&W.
That's a sweet van build!
Yes it is.
Good to see you back
Thanks for hanging in there.
Welcome back! It’s was nice to see you ride around boulder. Went thru 100s of times but could never stop in a commercial truck. I think your Dad would like you fixing up the 4Runner and using it to do explorer Steve Adventures.
You got that right!
Great video, love your travels! I own a 1999 Xplower also! Love seeing videos on both the 4-runner and the Explorer!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice! I like the older Van better, but that's me. We got some good Sun down your way which is always a blessing in February! I still don't have a smart phone to find things, but we used Wendy's to find the "Eggslut" @ the Cosmopolitan...good sandwiches even though the name is a bit much...Lol...good to see you out and about again! (well, sharing again anyway!)
Thanks for the Boulder City tour. Driven by many times, never pulled off the hwy to visit. Maybe next time I'll take time to smell the roses...
I love A&W floats! My Dr. says not to indulge. I bought the glass mug at the Tonopah A&W. My favorite mug! 😁
I'll bet just holding that mug, if they are the same, would put me back in time. 😀
Nice to see you back. We actually have 2 rootbeer stands here that still use the window trays.
Cool. Where's here.
@@XplorerSteveDIY Ohio
You need to visit Northeast Ohio - go to Swenson's. I recommend the 'Galley Boy' burger. Cool video.
Coffee Cup Cafe is good but can get crowded. Fox’s used to be a favorite until they removed deep fried mushrooms from the menu.
A Boulder resident?
@@XplorerSteveDIY No, we live in the Henderson, Anthem area. Our Casita travel trailer is stored in Boulder, so we go out there to tinker on it.
Nice video, if you learn anymore about the slide out shower pan let us know. Thanks
For sure
Sonic now has car hops to bring ur food out...
Do they skate?
Hi Steve. I enjoy watching your travel videos. I am looking for a 12 volt fridge for a few upcoming trips and was wondering if you can recommend one. Thanks!
I usually search amazon for the size I need and then look at verified purchasers in the ratings to see if they are good quality. I did put a link in the description for the one that I use but it may not suit you. Check it out and see.
Great video Steve..
Can you use a zamp solar panel with the jackery....?
I use the Renogy solar panel on my 4Runner roof as well as the Jackery panels. I guess any would work. Check power requirements of your unit.
Nice video and I like the van tour. Is the scooter your preferred portable transport?
Just got the scooter a few video's ago. I have an Ebike as well. The scooter is easier to carry, load and unload, and convenient and fun way to tour your surroundings. As with most things it comes down to ones own personal preference.
Rest to your father
I am second. Thank you for the videos.
How do you like your scooter?
I got a Cycleboard last year, and took it on a trip into the Deep South USA. It’s a three wheel scooter, with great range. Many state parks prohibited the use. But they allowed golf carts.
I will do a review on it after a few hundred miles but it is looking like a keeper.
@ steve
Hey there steve, glad you're back at it (UA-cam vids). Can you remember the name of the channel that did the bathroom thing like you were thinkin?? The guy said it but it isn't clear. Thanks either way, love the 3rd gen runners but that 4 banger must struggle a bit (my 3.4 3rd gen 4runner did AND my 1st gen Tacoma with the same 3.4 is not quick by any stretch of any imagination).
I thought he said "roadtrek adventures" ? Haven't checked it out yet.

Thanks, if I find the video I'll try n link it here if you don't mind
Thanks Steve for the information. Per your intermittent fasting do you go by a certain plan? Or do you fast 16 hrs different days? I have tried that as well but still not 100 % committed like I should be. Maybe you can describe. Need to shed 10-15#. I need to look into your model of fridge. Think that would be perfect for me compared to a Dometic model.
Thomas Delauer channel on YT and search for any questions on that.
You can still get window service at Sonic! Lol
True. We got those but window trays were neat.
Do you like your scooter or electric bike better when you're traveling.
Cool video 😎.
I just got the scooter so I’m in there learning stage but it is very handy.
Hey Steve,
Did you use screws only to mount your solar panel or did you use VHB tape only?
Thanks!
VHB on the Camper van and Screws on the 4Runner.
Kids now days have Sonic....but the food is all chemical crap. Nothing like an A&W root beer float
I think I saw your car at farmer boys today
You most likely did.
Looks just as cool in person!
Still havnt found Jessie James even on desribtion why you do a link??
Link is in the last video description.
