@@intheblackofficialchannel thank you again, I didn't even need the manual just followed your steps to a T and installed in about 2 hours, 0 plumbing experience. Really appreciate this 🙏🏽
This is one of the best how to vids I’ve seen. So clear and succinct. Now let’s see if I can do it!
Good luck! Let me know if you have any issues
Your videos are so professional. This channel is boutta blow up. Keep it up. Very informative.
This was a great video! Appreciated the video documentation for each step, clear lighting, perfect angles, clean video editing.. thanks!
Glad it helped!
I Got this WaterDrop G2 P600 from Amazon last year, NO MORE buying and carrying 5 gallon bottles.
We love it! and now I'm replacing, one of the two filter. Thank You
This is great to hear!
@@intheblackofficialchannel now I need you to help me with filter replacement, did everything, so easy bitty! But the Red Light didn’t shut off. Help me with that. 🤪thank You
@@4Wisdom4Strength find the button the on the front middle of the device, just above and between the CF and MRO lights (it has has 2 arrows in a circle). Push and hold for 5 seconds until you hear a beep. After you hear the beep, push the button again to cycle between the CF and MRO filter. When the light for the filter that you replaced is lit, push and hold for 5 seconds until it beeps and turns blue.
Very well explained. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video. It would be very helpful to set up q2p600 :)
Wow, God gave you a fantastic gift of teaching!
I absolutely love the bulletin point style with no fluff!
Thank you!
You're an absolute pro, super well done! Thank you so much for making the video!
Awesome, glad it was useful
This video was VERY helpful and l was able to install it myself. I was having an issue and had to call the company. They sent me a video too but yours was much better. Thank you SO much.
Glad it helped!
Fantastic install video. Just installed mine with ease because of this video. Thank you!

Great video man. Love you ❤️
Great tutorial. Very thorough. 👌
@@intheblackofficialchannel We ordered this unit yesterday and will be watching your video when we install it. Thanks!
Great video and instruction. I'm ready to start installation tomorrow, thanks for your help. Happy New Year. Love PegEgg
Glad to hear it, hope the install goes well!
Just wanted to say - this video was very helpful! Great step-by-step instructions. We didn't run into any issues, and were able to successfully install ourselves. Thanks so much for the info!
Glad it helped!
Great video ! Where they made the filters and the system ?
I am replacing my old system with this one. I already have an adapter that supports 1/4” tubing. Can I add a 1/4” to 1/2” adapter to the to the 1/4” inline tube and rub 1/2” to the machine? Or does the mess up the water pressure?
Thank you , great
Thank you very much
Best one so far
Thank you!
Thanks for the great video! Just got this Waterdrop system. I think the trickiest part for me will be drilling through my stainless steel sink. I do have a hole in the sink but it’s currently occupied by my pull out sprayer. Debating on just getting a new faucet with a pull down sprayer so I don’t have to drill through my sink. 🤣 We’ll see!
Have you seen any reviews on the Nu Aqua efficiency 600gpd system? It's says it does 1 gal waste to 2 gal clean.
Really nice 👍🏽
Thank you!
I am wondering what the G3 removes that the G2 doesn’t?
good video man!
Thank you!
Nice video!
Thank you!
Great video! Super helpful. Not sure if you know the answer, but I was wondering-Do you know if the G2 resets every time it gets unplugged? I don’t have a power outlet under the sink (yet) so I have it hooked up to a portable AC inverter with a decently sized rechargeable battery. Just started using it so I don’t know how long it will last. It’s a temporary solution until I can get an outlet under there. I’m concerned the filter timers will reset every time I unplug it to switch out the battery. If you know, great and thanks in advance. I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to checking out your other vids.
I unplugged my unit, gave it a minute, then plugged back in and the filter lights are still blue. But you raise a good point, does the internal memory remember filter life during extended power outages? I’m not sure. If you email service@waterdropfilter.com, they will give you a definitive answer. Worst case, put a note on your calendar to replace the CF filter 12 months after purchase and MRO filter after 24 months.
I just installed everything and it was perfect without any leak. Wait 30 minutes or until the light was solid blue. I put the water tester on it and it is red 58. How can I improve that?
While watching a few videos on this system there was a comment on the sound of the R/O while used as being "loud". What are your impressions on the sound level of the unit in operation? Thank you for the video! Really informative, clear and succinct presentation. 👍🏽
The pump makes noise and it's loud enough to be clearly heard even if it's in the cupboard below the sink with the door closed. The sound doesn't bother me, but you will hear it every time you dispense water.
I'm actually planning on buying one of these mainly for maintaining an aquarium. Is there any way to circumvent the faucet altogether so that I don't have to drill out my countertop?
Based on your comment being 2years old you may not need the info anymore but they do make kitchen faucets that have a 2nd tap for filtered water. So you still need to replace your kitchen faucet but it only uses the one hope for both the main water and filtered.
Im stuck deciding between the G2600 and the G3600. The G3 is about $100+ upfront and about $75yr extra in filters. Are you satisfied with the G2? Do you know what the difference is between them and if it's worth the extra cost. I can't find much information comparing the 2. Just that the G3 is better because it filters more.
I am satisfied with the G2. My only frustration is the "TDS creep" that exists with this filter (and with any RO filter of this type). This is where the first 10-30 seconds of water flow will have a higher level of Total Dissolved Solids (i.e., minerals) and possibly other contaminants due to the process of osmosis that occurs across the filter membrane while it sits idle. This means that if you want the most pure water, you need to allow the unit to run for ~30 seconds prior to taking water. This issue will be present on the G3, but it might be less pronounced. I am not sure as I have not used the more expensive unit. Other than this issue, I have zero complaints with the G2, I think it's a fantastic filter.
How is it working six months later? How often do you need to change the filters? Any issues getting filters?
Filters are lower cost and changes less frequent when compared to similar RO systems. I love everything about this system except I have one gripe, which is that the TDS count is really high for the first 30 seconds you run the filter after it sits overnight. This is how Waterdrop gets the efficiency so high, the filters do not flush themselves every few hours like other systems do (including the G3 and competitors, not sure about regular G2). I’ve been meaning to ask the Waterdrop team what this means for overall filtration performance for the first 30 or so seconds after sitting for a while (TDS is just a small part of what is removed by the filter).
@@intheblackofficialchannel how high?!?
@@Aposerver about an 80% reduction in TDS at first, then after 30-45 seconds it hits 90+ reduction from whatever your tap water is at
How much are the filters and how often do they need replacing?
Carbon filter every year for $30. RO membrane every other year for $100. So plan for $80 per year.
Can I just connect this to my fridge/freezer for ice and water?
I haven’t tried this, but it should work. You may need some additional fittings.
How do you like the system? How it is holding up after two years?
No issues other than the TDS creep problem that all RO systems have when they sit overnight. Still use it every day, just let the water run for 15-30 seconds before filling my glass.
How to replace filter water drop 600
How is this RO filter holding up after a year?
Just about to hit the 2 year mark, no change in performance, no maintenance other than scheduled filter changes.
will 50 psi be ok to run this as said thanks
According to the manual, feed (input water) should be no less than 14.5 PSI and no more than 87 PSI. You should be fine.
Is there a big difference between the G2 and G3?
More filter stages, I haven’t tested the G3 so I can’t speak to performance.
@@intheblackofficialchannel In terms of taste, it shouldn’t be a big difference right?
The differences aren’t huge. The G3 has two extra filtration stages (7 instead of 5) so I theory it should remove more contaminants. It also has an automatic flushing mode, which wastes more water but also should help TDS creep, which is where it takes 30-60 seconds of water flow for the filter to reach peak filtration performance after sitting overnight / for an extended period of time.
Is the system loud?
While it’s running yes it makes a noticeable amount of noise
Why make that big of a hole in the counter if only that thin end ends up under the counter
Saw you comment on two videos 😁. I hope by now,10month later someone has already answered you. But if not, I will.. you technically don't need to drill the hole that big, the size they are giving you is a pretty standard size,in case you ever need to install something else in that place like a soap dispenser or air gap. It's your house, if u want drill a hole big enough for the threaded piece to fit. Hope this helps
I live in Chandler, Arizona. Installed 2 days ago, I did ran it for 30 mins after setup but ppm is still at 110 range (without RO ppm is at 750). Also when I metered the water run, I notice it initially pour out 500 ppm and takes 20-30 sec to drop down to 110 ppm. Very disappointing.
RO systems should eliminate 90% of TDS, so around 75ppm is a realistic target. If you run the filter for a bit longer, say 60 seconds, does TDS drop further? I’m in Gilbert AZ my water is about 550 from the tap and the filter will drop it down to about 40ppm after running for 45 seconds or more. I reached out to Waterdrop last year about this exact issue, and they said “this is a common phenomenon happening on all RO systems with tankless design.” They sent me another filter to install between the RO unit and the faucet and said that if I used it I wouldn’t “need to flush and wait for the TDS to become low anymore.” The model number on that filter is WD-15UD-RS. I have the filter but haven’t gotten around to installing and testing it. I can forward Waterdrop’s entire email response to me when I asked this same question, just send me an email at kf@kenafedorschak.com.
Hi, I just got mine this past week. I’m getting high TDS reading as well unless I let the system run off for 2 minutes and it drops it to about 38. I contacted Waterdrop about the issue and that’s the solution they suggested and was also offered the filter you mentioned and or a pitcher. Have you gotten to installing that filter? I live in Goodyear, AZ. My TDS readings are under 150 with the initial fill. I don’t feel like wasting water so I just drink then.
@@erjelmanalastas7924 yes, I installed the WD-15UD-RS filter about a month ago, and the water is about 5 TDS immediately after turning it on. Very happy with that result, but it’s a $50 filter and only lasts 3 months, so I’m not sure I’ll keep buying them…
how much water is wasted per gallon
The company claims 2:1 ratio, so half a gallon wasted per 1 gallon produced. I didn’t measure or double check their claim, but my guess is that it’s accurate.
I plugged mine in and nothing happened. It won’t turn on.
It should run when you start running water at the faucet. Can you double check to see that the input line, waste line, and output/clean water lines are properly connected?
Does the water taste like bottled water? 😃
Taste is largely determined by the Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) level of the water, which is a measure of the mineral content. Reverse osmosis filters (including this one) reduce TDS levels by about 90%. If you live on the coast or somewhere that rains lot, you likely already have soft water and a 90% reduction in TDS will make the water have almost zero taste. If you live inland or somewhere with very hard water, it won’t 100% remove all the taste. Any chemical taste (like chlorine) will be completely removed by a RO filter like this. Keep in mind that mineral content in bottled waters very quite a bit too, with some having very low levels and having little taste, whereas mineral waters will intentionally have high mineral levels to create flavor.
add the following post filter to make water taste better like bottled water.

May I have your contact information?
The hole in sink is not necessary to be 1"3/8. It's enough 3/4 of inch
That’s what I was thinking too
