  • Having our house water supply fed from a well the taste of our water left something to be desired. After a bit of research we decided on the Waterdrop under sink filter purchased from Amazon. This video walks through the contents of the box and shows how quickly and easily it can be installed with minimal tools.
    We are very happy with the outcome and the taste of our water now. We use it to fill our Opal countertop ice maker, Kuerig coffee maker, pots for cooking, and tons more. If you're thinking about purchasing an under sink filter this might just do the trick for you.

    This one by far is the best choice because there are more gallons and it lasts for 36 months (3years), the 10UB is the cheaper one...it costs $64. This one you have is $94. Each year you have to pay $22 for the 10 UB and $40 every 3 years for this one. 3 years 10 UB is nearly $70 total on cartridges, and in 3 years only $40, I will be buying the 17UB!!!!!

    Thanks for the video. I just bought the 15UB-UF Under Sink Water Filter System and was worried if I needed to buy anything else to make it work, such as adaptors or hoses, but your video showed that everything is included, with the bonus of a step by step guide of how to do it. So, _thank you_ very much!

    Thanks for the video i had my waterdrop installed in just 20 minutes including the drilling on the stainless steel sink using the step drill bits.First use the metal drill bits to make a little hole then use the step drill bits done in just 2 mins pouring some dishwashing liquid to cool down the bits.then install everything.Thanks again feeling satisfied with the filter.

    Someone on another video suggested that people with well water not use this one. You might get better results with a reverse osmosis unit with that well water you are getting? I have city water so this unit is better suited for water that is treated already but needing a little more to be purified.u

      It's not recommended for well water because sediment from the well will clog the filter. You can still use this filter as long as you have a whole house filter to screen the sediment first. In my experience though whole house filters greatly decrease the water pressure in the whole house so I bypass mine.

    I have done everything on all my other water projects and this compression fitting keeps leaking even with the blue clips attached. This filter faucet is the only water issue I am having water was running everywhere all on top of my filter from that little piece!!!! I just removed it. I did not fully power on the main water and when I turned the water filter cutoff valve on the water was shooting out that piece. There are no threads for me to use Teflon tape or megaloc, so now I am stuck!!!! My dishwasher I installed, no leaks, my faucet I installed, no leaks, but this water drop is leaking and I haven’t even turned on it’s faucet it leaked from that little compression fitting with the blue clips, I will re connect and if it still leaks I will have to leave it off and contact waterdrop!!!! I really did not want to do this at all, but my return period is completely passed, but I may need to call in a dang plumber to fix this if a replacement part won’t work because I have already committed & purchased a spare filter in advance but have yet to experience one drop of this filtered water. I am not happy with waterdrop right now! Okay went back and re installed the part and it did not leak, faucet is flushing, now suddenly where the faucet handle connects, it started dripping so I guess if running for awhile it starts dripping? This faucet was already assembled at that part! Well, I may just shut that under sink valve off until I am using the filter faucet….I don’t want any surprise leaks or floods!!!!!!!!!!!!

    where do you use the tephlon tape? I did not see you using the tephlon tape in your video.
    So after the water filter is installed and the cold water is turned back on if you just turn on the regular faucet - not the extra faucet that comes with the filter - are you getting unfiltered water so you are not using the filtered water just for washing dishes?

    • @liferocks8896
      @liferocks8896  10 місяців тому

      Use the teflon tape on any of the threaded connections if needed. If I didn’t use any then the connections I made did not require any 😁. Yes, filtered water only comes out of the new faucet, not out of your regular faucet.

    • @keithfillinger3182
      @keithfillinger3182 2 роки тому

      On a filter like this, there are three ways to tell if the filter needs to be changed. If the water flow significantly declines the filter is loaded with sediment and needs to be changed. If the taste of the water takes a turn for the worse, the carbon element is full of contamination, and the filter needs to be changed. The last one is by the manufacturer's recommended "service life" of the filter.

      @neomis0119 3 роки тому

      Tds ppm isn’t a good test to tell you anything and unless your doing distilled or ro water then it won’t be lower or much lower, PpM changes due to temperature even as I have tested it, the majority of ppm is minerals in the water along with any other tds added which shouldn’t be much unless your water is polluted, you get a filter to keep out the chlorine or chromium(some other minor metals) the city adds to kill bacteria, waterdrop does include this info about tds and ppm that it’s not a good indicator in there filters especially the water pitchers, lots of tests on UA-cam with ppm meters that mean absolutely nothing, I have had a Brita pitcher as well and the waterdrop one is a little better, it has an actual seal, to note most filters will do heavy metals at the least and some chlorine, If you were going to go crazy I would say get an ro system like waterdrop then a waterdrop chubby alkaline pitcher, ro has a a very low alkaline due to no minerals, my wife complained of headaches just drinking the ro water, which I was aware of and didn’t tell her as I wanted to see myself (I’m so bad) the waterdrop alkaline chubby pitcher adds 1.5-2ph, which is perfect for the lowered ph of an ro system or distilled water, it gives it back but pure. I think the alkaline pitcher is to much if you use tap water alone, you don’t want higher ph in regular tap water, alkaline isn’t good (high alkaline water) from what most say as it’s been a popular trend. but perfect if you have ro water as ro/distilled is very low to zero minerals, good to add a little healthy minerals, solved our problem.

      @@andyf7107 Filters like these will not reduce TDS. Zero water uses ion exchange beads in filter to remove dissolved solids. but they only last for ~20 gallons. Filters with carbon blocks or gac (like this one) will not affect TDS, but do well in removing chlorine and will improve taste. some will say drinking water should have minerals as it is healthier. If you want to remove "TDS" then you need to go with an RO system.
