    Hey Pete, great breakdown of the Steez line! Appreciate the in-depth features review…most gloss over features and recite acronyms without explaining what they are…keep up the great work…watched a bunch of your videos yesterday and I’m all caught up 👍 keep ‘me coming

    Thanks for making this video. I’m looking into a Steez SV for my Megabass Super Destroyer. I think that’ll be the ultimate pond combo.
    It ain’t easy being Steezy.

    Pulled the trigger on a Steez combo with the latest Steez 70 reel. Couldn't be happier. Already want another one lol

    I’m sold! I’m buying one in fact Iva been eyeing this for so long and I’ll pair this with SVF AGS casting rods so it’s my high end combo but my wife loves shimano stuff hahaha

    This year I am thinking of a very high end reel, the steez is in the running. I have been using shimano loyally but the steez may make me jump into the Daiwa camp.

    2021 zillion sv tw or steez a? Mostly going to be used for moving baits/Texas/weightless finesse at times. Appreciate your input

    • @bassutopia

      You really can't go wrong with either reel! The Steez A is a lot of people's favorite reel, but it has been out for awhile now. The new Zillion has been a best seller since its release and will feature a lot of Daiwa's latest technology like the SV boost braking system.

    Sorry if I missed it..... do the Steez SV and Steez A have the same frame size? I have the Steez SV on my 6'-8" NRX rods but for my longer rods I was looking at the heavier Steez A to balance the combo better but didn't want a larger frame.

    • @bassutopia
      @bassutopia  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, the Steez SV and Steez A have the same frame size. The Steez CT is smaller.

    Want to try one for shallow cranks to say dt 12. I fish from a kayak and in the wind quite often. Would you suggest the steez A or steez sv? Or possibly neither. Also have been looking at shimano Metanium mgl. Hard choice and I’d really appreciate your opinion if you have time. Thank you for the great content.

    • @bassutopia
      @bassutopia  2 роки тому

      The Steez SV might not hold as much line as you'd like for crankbaits up to 12 ft. I would probably lean towards a reel with a little bit more line capacity. Both the Steez A and the Metanium MGL fit the bill!

    • @pogues2300
      @pogues2300 2 роки тому

      Thank you, I’m still researching but I really appreciate you taking the time to respond with an opinion. Would get the steez A but I’m concerned how it handles lighter baits in the wind compared to the sv or mgl spool.I also use braid to leader so I’m not deterred by slightly less line capacity.

    Looking at purchasing a Steez CT SV 700H to pair with a Megabass P5 One ten stick for my wife to throw Jerkbaits. With her small hands I figured she could hold onto it better. Would that reel hold up to throwing smaller jerkbaits.

    • @bassutopia
      @bassutopia  2 роки тому +1

      It would be a great jerkbait reel. The clicking drag would add some excitement too!

      If you want to throw 1 oz and up regularly, do not consider the SV TW. More so, if you fish saltwater (the magnesium frame is not for saltwater). If you throw mainly under 1 oz, freshwater and with a shorter rod (less than 7foot4) you might consider the SV TW. Hope this helps…

    • @bassutopia

      The Steez A is a great all-around reel, but if you are wanting a Steez for lighter presentations you'd probably be better off with one that features an SV spool.

      I’ve always preached buying stuff like this lightly used. Someone fishes a reel for 1 season and all the sudden it’s only half the price
