- Time to put Daiwas SV Boost to the test against other Daiwas to see if it can out cast them!

Thanks for comparison know your casting arm must be sore! To bad you lost your casting plug that would of been very interesting test. Hopefully you get on some big ones soon!
I have really enjoyed the new Zillion, but not for the distance. The gears and build have been rock solid.
Which one
Agree...I had zillion sv and alphas sv tw, put them side by side and alphas performed waaay better, dont know whats going on with sv boost in zillion, but alphas sv cast better with lures between 8gr and 20gr.. even tatula elite performed better.
@@diegovulliano Strange. Mine has been great. I feel the Alphas SVTW is a bit choked off, but my Zillion casts great. Who knows...
glad to hear cause i just bought one from japan arrives tomorrow. I was nervous after reeltest videos, but reviews from tackle tour were good.
what line have you been using for those tests ?
I just received a brand new Daiwa Zillion 21 SV TW G reel ( ZLNSVG100H ) but without the cast control cap or the stem. Where can I order an authentic replacement cap and stem for it or any that is compatible?
I think the Daiwa part number is H28-1201 but I’m not 100% sure on that or what the stem it covers is. This Zillion 21 is a pretty well known reel so I figured you guys might have a good idea of what would work here.
Thank you!
Ive been using shimano for many years. This season i bought a few tatulas and they immediately felt like my smoothest best casting out of all i own
Thanks for another solid video! I love my Tat Elite. Well, all my Daiwa. Such solid reels!
wish there was video on what reel adjustment changes what type over run. I have tons reels, lowest grade would be curados i enjoy shimano diawa lews and have 2 abu id like to sell they are worst for me
I think the concern is not cast distance, but reliability. Cast long doesn't mean reliable for every casting techniques like pitching, skipping. That's what the brake system designated to. Each brake system has its own pros and cons for each of those techniques. I love the sv boost for its versatility.
I also find that my tatula elite to be the farthest casting reel but I can tell a difference when the sv boost kicks in the 2nd half of a cast versus my tatula sv that is still pulling at the end of the cast.
standard sv spools slow down really fast, like a parachute went off
I have both the Tatula Elite and the 2021 Zillion. To me, the Zillion is far superior for all-around use - it casts great and is completely un-fussy: I can change between completely different lure shapes/sizes/weights with minimal adjustment. By comparison, the Tatula Elite feels less predictable and much more prone to backlash.
Right now, the 21 Zillion is my favorite reel I've ever used, though I'm sure the higher-end Shimanos are great as well.
The Zillion 1000 is a great reel for being a Daiwa
@@THEREELTEST 😆 I do like my 21 Scorpion DC as well!
i think that you should make all the spool in the same weights to compare each braking system
no
Tatula SV: control for short distance pitching, chokes off longer casts
Tatula Elite: Stiffer spring (less braking) for longer casts, less control for shorter casts.
Zillion: Good control for both long and short casts
Curado DC: Control for super long distance casts, little control for short casts/pitching
It all depends on what you prefer
The Tatula Elite spring is not stiffer than the standard Tatula 100 spring
can u do a video the daiwa tatulra elite vs the 22 ZILLION TW HD 1000xhl or which one will cast the farthest
I dont have the Zillion HD
The SV spools are not made for casting distance. You really should have tried the mag force z boost spool, which will be for distance. Nevertheless I still enjoyed the comparison here. Just remember the SV spools are designed to cast all baits well but not great, from light finesse baits to heavy baits. It’s also very friendly for people new to bait casting, and allows you to cast almost back lash free and also helps when skipping.
Shimano’s DC spools are very similar but don’t have the drawback of casting distance, which makes for a better setup, the only drawbacks to the DC reel is the size of the reels are sometimes larger and heavier.
There were many descriptions of SV reels as long casting by Daiwa themselves. I know what SV spools were made for as Ive explained it already in several past videos years ago
where do you find that spool
that zillion 21 is the best all around reel on the planet for the money...that simple. the daiwa magforce braking is far superior to anything on the market...or friction based systems; DC reels are less reliable. i'm not worried about it casting 5 feet less, on a bomb 50-60 yd cast, than others. as mentioned here in the comments...the SV spools are designed as ALL AROUND spools that handle light to heavy baits. paired with their magforce braking and it's a fisherman's dream to fish. that daiwa steez sv tw is FAR SUPERIOR to anything on the planet when it comes to casting lighter baits into heavy wind or crosswinds. i'll take the steez sv tw all day that i can sling qtr oz spinners into a head wind then turn around and spool 2 oz plugs despite the misconception that it's a fragile reel for such baits.
Cool story bro... but not even close. Daiwa Magforce is more gimmick than an actual performance gain if the spools weigh the same. SV spools are for beginners and should not be in any Daiwa reel over $100. SVS Infinity and DC from Shimano stomp Magforce anything in every important category because ANY REEL CAN CAST SHORT DISTANCES.
@@THEREELTEST cray cray. shimano reels are for beginners with no casting technique desperate for distance. friction based systems will always be inferior, but i get it...you're a shimano camper. i was all shimano at one point until i tried daiwa's best, which makes me a 'best reels on the planet' camper. that gimmick story was beautiful though, but i'll leave you to pulling off the side plates on shimanos and messing with the svs infinity polymer tabs then adjusting the non-clicking side plate dials to perfection to cast a qtr oz plug downwind 40-50 yds on 10 lb line...just to outcast a rival daiwa by 5-10 feet. i'm not a daiwa fanboy...i'm a best reels on the planet fanboy and that dime incidentally falls on daiwa.
@@HBeretta you know you are telling a damn lie.
@@audijohns9187 put down the lew's son.
@@HBeretta if you only knew 😂
I will take my new zillions or Shimano DCs out to the lake long before I take my 2020 Metaniums or bantams on a windy day. The Diawas and Shimano DCs are more manageable on windy days when changing lures frequently.
sorry to bust your bubble, but any reel can be set up to cast into the wind ua-cam.com/video/_2r7yPk_6oM/v-deo.html
How about long therm use than metanium sir
10g Lure weight - over 170ft?
I couldn't care less about casting distance. They all will get it where I need it. Having used all brands of reels over 40 years I'll stick to my Daiwas. Sure, I use Shimano, Abu, Lews, Okuma, etc but by and large I'll take my Daiwa any day of the week over the others. Heck, I still fish with the PT33's on a regular basis...but my Zillions are hands down my favorites.
cool story bro
@@THEREELTEST Pretty much the response I expected from you, and yet another reason I have 'zero' confidence that your reviews aren't biased and manipulated to achieve your desired result.
@@MrBuffaluffagus yea, this guy doesn't want to hear any other opinion if it doesn't align with his....
Lol who gives a shit about casting distance.
Boy that Zillion looks and palms great though
they are average in looks and palming
I owned both Shimano and Daiwa, but when it come to distance Shimano will always be best for the job, but Daiwa is friendly to fish, although in my experience customer service to deal with getting part or communication Shimano is more friendlier, Daiwa is kinda a dick sometimes
I’m currently in the market for a new reel. I’m still somewhat new to fishing baicaster. I got the hang of it for the most part with minimal bird nests. What reel would you recommend? I’m torn between the tatula ct, tatula sv, and the slx dc
If you're relatively new to baitcasters, I'd recommend the Tatula SV TW. It's an excellent reel and difficult to backlash. It will serve you well, and is a good reel to learn to skip with once you get to that point. Shimano loyalists will say get a DC reel, Daiwa guys will probably echo what I said, or something similar. Both good choices, I've just never cared for the Shimano DC reels.
@@MrBuffaluffagus my only concern is how far I can cast with it. I’ve read that the casting range isn’t that great. Other than that I’ve heard the sv is great
@@emonarrez519 If you want casting distance, stay away from Daiwas. If you are new to baitcasters get the Shimano SLX DC XT as its forgiving for beginners but once you get better at baitcasters, it can grow with you
I love the way you start this Video with scripture. Here's another one “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” Exodus 20:19
Well at least they didn't lie "Long cast" is in the name. So it better be their longest casting reel
I mean, it casts far compared to other Daiwas lol
Daiwa or bust
lol
What happened to Daiwa HLC?
no Daiwa fan or fanboy has the guts to send me one to test?
My Tatula will out cast my Zillion as well. My zillion is very smooth and I love it, but my Tatula launches. The Tatula is noisy and s clatters, but it will fling.
You should have adjusted the tension on the steez, although they say zero adjustment..bogus
sure thing kid, because you know better than Daiwa
@THEREELTEST well call diawa...That's Woke..Really crazy..YOU CAN ADJUST IT...BELIEVE THAT..
@THEREELTEST A lot of people on UA-cam are putting out a lot bogus information, if you want to be technical about the situation,.You need to do a detail inquiry on customer service on high, and low dollar reels and rods..A lot of customer service suck, especially pure fishing..Today they have people who are working for them, that don't know their left foot, from their right. The same type people that be on you tube..Trying to make a dollar by telling lies .
I don't see how 4-10 feet is how you define performance.
The diawa zillion 1000 will be the winner
sorry, the over $100 cheaper Tatula took a clear win
I have 3 steez..
I have a Steez and over 10 Shimano DC reels...
I had Zillion Sv Tw. I tried the Metanium Shallow ... I sold the Zillion !
The Metanium is better on all points
If I didnt have a potential $1500 already wrapped up in future reel purchases I would order one today lol
You're really taking credit for Daiwa creating the SV boost system ? That's some ego you got there.
I mean, who else has been exposing the SV reels as being sub par casters? lol
the line guide does not even move back and forth in free spool mode. what a joke.
Daiwa is top
in this cast battle yes lol
Well, it's a bust.
Daiwa: Shimano's uglier, underwhelming sister.
I think different people are arguing over completely different reels. People who like to bomb casts prefer shimano, while accuracy/pitching casters generally like Daiwa. That’s why loyalists generally dislike the other brand, they’re just not using the right reel for their application.
Daiwa is about to come out with a really nice looking reel... to bad its probably going to be impossible to get
@@lukediep3889 Daiwa definitely do not pitch better, or are more accurate than Shimanos. Thats fanboy propoganda
long cast is in the name… makes sense that it won.
Thanks for video. daiwa magz boost outcast sv boost system. steez a2 magz > zillion hd 22 magz > zillion sv boost 21
cray cray
Actually opposite 1. HD magz. 2. Steez a2 magz. HD has slightly deeper and heavier spool, which helps for baits over 3/4oz
I may eventually try out Mag Z Boost
