Congrats on the baby, I'm about to have my second at the end of this month! Thank you for sharing your practice with me, I know how precious time is after a new baby ❤
Day 1 for me and am excited to report back after practicing this for a while. I play the cello and felt so much relief in my arms and shoulders after this🤤🤤🤤
Did this practice for the first time today and feel so much more awake and alive now. After 8 hours of work and looking after my aging dad I usually get to a natural stoping point in my day before I enjoy rebounding, weight training or yoga. It felt just right to do breath of you as a warm up and it was wonderful. I will incorporate it into my day as you suggest and see what changes it will bring. Thank you so much, Allie. Warmest greetings from Germany😘.
thank you for sharing your experience & spending some time practicing with me! please let me know how it goes incorporating this into a daily practice 🙏 ❤

Thank you for the practice. I did it today for the first time and my lower back started hurting. If there is a way to avoid that, please guide. Thanks once again.
Hi Jharna! Thank you for stepping on the mat with me and sharing what you found there. It's very difficult to provide advise on this platform, as I cannot see your body in motion or know it's history. Please be easy and gentle with yourself, explore about 60% of your efforting on the mat and come out of any postures that create sensations of pain, impingement, or compression. 😊
hi there! yes, you definitely can! my advice is just to be aware of when you're practicing it and how it shifts your energy - for example, I wouldn't do this right before bed if it's creating so much energy you could end up restless.
This was nice change of pace, haven't done breath of joy before. I will try to do this again for the next 7 days, curious to see how I feel. I do have a question Allie, what does it mean if you do start feeling non joy feelings while doing this practice? It felt good, but for a small portion, I did notice my feelings shifting. Namaste 💜
You can do it, 7 days is a great start! It could be new so you are trying to get used to the movements. I try to maintain a dristhi (focal) point to help from dizziness. Also, just notice and let go when feelings shift. Try not to hold on to negative feeling or judge them. Reflect for a bit after you finish to see how you feel in the after glow. xx
I love this so much!!! I'm going to practice it every day and observe the effects! Thank you Allie 💖Just to make sure: Is it okay to practice this multiple times in a day? Is it okay to do during your menstrual cycle?
Thank you for stepping on the mat with me, Pri! You absolutely can, my only warning is because it builds energy you may have trouble falling asleep if you do late at night. Pranayama is always great for morning time! ❤️️
Hi Carolyn! Breath of Fire is an energizing pranyama so it may elevate you blood pressure even more or cause side effects that are not comforting. You will want to stick to more calming and centering pranayama practices such as Bhramari Pranayama (Humming Bee Breath), Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing), Chandra Bhedana Pranayama (Left Nostril Breathing), or Sitali Pranayama (Cooling Breath). ❤

That was amazing! I felt a significant shift afterwards. My question is, can we practice it twice daily?
hi there! yes, you definitely can! my advice is just to be aware of when you're practicing it and how it shifts your energy - for example, I wouldn't do this right before bed if it's creating so much energy you could end up restless.

I tried this! It felt good for about 30 seconds, then I started feeling a sharp pain inside my head. Is that normal? 😬
Hi! I would definitely not continue with this practice if that reoccurs, it's not normal. Be sure you're breathing deeply and not moving too quickly!
Please let me know the reason for not doing this flow with HBP. Thank you!
It’s an activating, energizing technique that’s raising your heart rate.
Would you do this before or after your asana practice?
Hi Kylie! Traditionally you would do your asana practice, savasana, and then pranayama. Thank you for stepping on the mat with me. xx
I have high blood pressure. Why shouldn't I do this?
