Charlie Chaplin , Jim Carrey , Rowan Atinkson , Robin Willams , Ryan Reynolds my Favoraite Comedy Actors

He definitely is one of the best of all time next to Robin Williams.
Rest In Peace, Robin 🥺
A little piece of the world will definitely be gone when it’s Jim’s time to go.
People are always saying he’s lost his mind, and I’m just thinking...
he’s just gotten wiser and he has always been like this. He doesn’t fit the Hollywood “norm.”
That’s what I love about him. He’s not afraid of getting people to think he’s crazy when he’s not.
No no, he’s gotta point
Jim Carrey doesn't act. He just gets on set and does what he usually does daily
Jim Carrey has always been one of the most hilarious actors ever. Never a dull moment when he's doing comedy
not even jus actors, he’s one of the most hilarious human beings ever
@@antizyy6153 You met them all? 🤣
King of Comedy Gold in his movies.

Yes!
One of my favorite bits of Jim Carey lore is that fact that he apparently saved the production company of The Mask Millions of dollars in effects because he was able to emulate cartoon facial expressions practically.
The super wide grin I know is him lol
It is not just the face , it is his whole body
He’s a real person. It’s not lore
@@loweredyote8416 You did not get the joke.
@@Kameranium there wasn’t a joke. People are actually using lore to describe real history and people. Just stupid lol
"What do I look like? Am imbecile? Of course I want a latte. I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM!"
That's probably my favorite moment of all Jim Carrey moments🤣
His interactions with agents stone are the only times he thinks of another person as a person, almost a friend.
You wanna know another fun fact about the Robotnik dance? It's actually canon to the games that Robotnik is a good dancer (He even beat Sonic in a dance-off once!). So it's actually surprisingly in-character.
I'm going to miss Jim as Robotnik! He did a great job!
@@Xanaphia who says he isn't gonna come back for the third one?
@FireSonic101 maybe he means in the inevitable future where the Sonic franchise dies.
In the year 2168
Because Jim Carrey shall be immortal
Since when did Dr. Eggman dance in a Sonic game?

His Robotnik dance ending with "I LIKE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM!" had the whole theater dying 🤣. I don't know how they're gonna make Sonic 3 without him.
Good news
Jim Carrey: "I'm hilarious and you will quote everything I say."
TFS ftw
Jim: derailing one liner.
He deserves all the love and appreciation, most hilarious and original actor of all time.
He IS godly in his comedy, but so too is Robin Williams! They have BOTH given us EONS of laughter and will FOREVER make us laugh and smile on and be happy!!!!
I’m surprised the bathroom scene from liar liar isn’t on the list. The script literally said “Jim walks into bathroom, beats himself up.” Jim came up with all that on the spot. Also Can you imagine what would have happened if you put Jim Carey and robin williams in a movie together?
nobody would be able to catch their breath from laughing so hard
We all die laughing
If Robin Williams and Jim Carrey had ever done a movie together, I would have needed an oxygen mask on standby in case my inhalers were not enough to help me with my breathing from laughing so hard.
@@kindoe66 while I agree strongly that both are the best comedians ever, it wouldn’t have been a good idea that they should be in a movie together. Because they would be trying to outdo eachother… it just wouldn’t have been a good combination
With the way world works, probably would have been a drama
It's not just that they were improvised, it's that they were perfect improvisations.
I need to be "that guy".
A lot of people think improvisation in movies, means the actor performs spontaneously, off-script and without preparation. Unfortunately, this is (extremely) rarely the case.
Most actors will do an improvised scene, then the director will say "great, now let's shoot that again, but can you do what you did in the last take?"
I would wager 95% of directors hate it when an actor goes off script or delivers a line that is not what the director envisioned (Tarintino is a great example). Having said that, some director's do the opposite and let the actor run wild with their lines. We rarely, rarely ever see a spontaneous improvisation done in one take and then used for the final cut. One great example of an improvised line/action that remains in the final cut is in the movie "The Bird Cage" in which Robin Williams slips over and continues with the take; and of course the most famous being "we're walking here!"
Jim Carrey, a master of his trade, will take his own spin on his lines during rehearsal or would bring it to the director's attention before shooting. The "improv" then gets rehearsed, shot multiple times, then put in to the movie. It seems the term improvisation has had it's meaning stretched quite wide for the internet.
I'm fun at parties.
No you don’t have to be “that guy” no one is forcing a gun to your head and the world isn’t gonna end if you don’t say anything you just want to be the smartest guy in the room and that’s it.
@@fork4207he did not, in fact, hate being “that guy”

Jim Carrey is a comedy legend
He brought his career back from the edge of extinction with his outstanding portrayal of Dr. Robotnic one of my favorite villains of all time
"Extinction" the only thing that is going extinct is humanities' braincells
Agreed and he's came back from sonic 2 because he thinks he didn't flesh out robotnik enough so yeah I wonder how funny this robotnik is compared to the first movie
His career was never in danger.
@frankwoods769 now I am wondering what else he will do since he's coming back for sonic 3....
The big gulp scene is one of my favorites and the fact that it was improvised and those guys weren't even part of the movie makes it that much more hilarious.
There will never be Another One Like Jim Carrey! Love Him and All of his Original Movie Characters! Miss him in the movies too😔
Go watch sonic the hedge hog 1&2!
He’s got a movie coming in April! Sonic the hedgehog 2! It’s gonna be great! The first one is also incredible and Jim is hilarious as always, definitely recommend :3

@@jrockxxx no, stick to his old movies 😉
No other actor like Jim Carrey? What about Robin Williams (1951-2014). He was quite the funniest guy, plus he had a really funny voice
The Mask was one of my favorites along with Ace Ventura. Now Carry as Grinch was a riot. Especially the echo. "You're an idiot!"
We still laugh at that scene every Christmas when we watch it.
The fact that there’s 20 (probably more) proves he is a god of improv ✨
Jim Carrey isn't good at improv...
HE IS IMPROV.
I remember staying up late to sneak and watch ace ventura... only to get caught because I was laughing to hard. Man... different times.
Right! Ace Ventura: Pet Detective changed my life. When my parents took me to see it when it came out in early 1994, I was 7 and it totally shaped the way I looked at entertainment. From then on I was hooked on Jim Carrey and his film career. It’s very sad that he’s washed up now and passed his prime
@@nsasupporter7557 same, after this movie i became a instant jim Carrey fan. Its like he makes you laugh even if you dont want too... like that mental health hospital scene... im dead...🤣🤣🤣🤣

"Of course I want a latte... I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM!"
I am one of those who wasn t very impressed with his character as Robotnic, but man this scene really cracked me up:)))
What can I say? Jim Carrey is the KING of comedy gold in his movies.
No he's a serious actor
Same with Will Ferrel, John C. Reilly, and Danny DeVito
The only thing more impressive than Carrey's improv skills is the ability of the actors around him to keep a straight face.
We landed on the moon is classic. Nearly 30 years later, this still makes me LMAO
Absolutely can’t wait for Sonic 2 and once again Carrey looks like it’s gonna kill as Robotnik again.
Agreed. Can't wait to see Sonic 2 next month.
It was pretty good and Carey is one of the reasons I watched both sonics! Loved knuckles naivety in the movie...
seen the movie, he fucking did.
It was unbelievably good
It was legend
Looking forward to movie 3
There's a scene in The Mask movie where he is on the bridge and his car breaks down. He kicks the fender of the car and accidentally falls down. Well the professional he is, he just pops right up like nothing happened and kept going on with the scene. Brilliant.
Can you guys imagine how much fun it would be to have Jim Carrey as your dad
Best life ever
it really depends on whether he can "turn it off." it's no fun at all when any attempt at serious conversation is met with more jokes and trolling.
I really wish Carey was in a DC or Marvel Movie today. I feel like his energy would fit so well in the Spiderverse, Suicide Squad, or if he were to play the Riddler.
He did play the Riddler in Batman Forever. He did quite well alongside Tommy Lee Jones's Two Face.
He was the riddler 🤦🏻♀️
He was in kick ass 2
Ashame he is retiring
Carrey's Riddler just felt like Cesar Romero Joker. I wish he'd been allowed to play Nygma more seriously because he is absolutely capable of doing it and making it legendary.
Carrey is indeed an outstanding comedic actor but let’s not forget his amazing dramatic abilities in movies such as Eternal Sunshine on The Spotless Mind, Man on The Moon or The Truman Show. This man is a superb actor, period.
And the number 23
I love Jim Carrey man. One of my favorite actor/comedians ever.
No I love Jim Carey. You back off.
I was only about 8 or 9 when I watched The Mask with my parents, so obviously didn't 'get' the Wrong Pocket joke, but years later I watched it again and suddenly understood why my parents laughed so hard at it 🤣🤣🤣
the “hello, clarice” scene leaves me in stitches every single time
I know a lot of people probably don't want this, but I reallllly wanna see another Ace Ventura if he decides not to retire after Sonic 2
Yea thatd be awesome, the Pet Detective Jr was horrid so we won't talk about that lol
He said in an interview that the only way he'd do another Ace Ventura was if someone like Christopher Nolan directed it
What are you talking about?? Of course everybody wants that!
That would be so cool!
Yeah that's a horrible idea
Jim Carrey's #1 Iconic Role: *THE MASK!*
SOMEBODY STOP HIM, though not really.
I dunno. He killed it as Riddler
For some reason, I really didn't like that movie at all. At the same time, I loved the number 23. Everyone is different of course. I just thought the mask was really immature comedy so it was more annoying than anything.
The ultimate ad-libed movie: a buddy comedy with Jim Carrey and Ryan Reynolds!
Ryan Reynolds will never be a 1/3rd of the star Jim Carrey is. Jim Carrey is like Tom Cruise… in how big of a star he is. Ryan Reynolds isn’t an A plus like that. I mean, he is bigger now thanks to Deadpool. But he’s still not an A lister
Yea, Ryan Reynolds couldn't hold a candle to Jim.
Ryan Reynolds brings a maturity to his comments that would flabbergast Carrey.
Jim Carrey was amazing as Dr Robotnik in the first Sonic movie so glad he’s reprising his role as Robotnik in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie can’t wait to see what hilarious stuff he does in Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Same 😃
I just wish they made him actually look like the character though.
@@GeteMachine well I mean the second movie is gonna have him look more like the actual character with the bald head and the long bushy mustache
Or Sonic 3?
I give credit to anyone acting opposite Jim Carrey in a scene. They must have to summon immense inner strength to prevent themselves from constantly breaking at the overflowing ad libs and improv coming from Carrey.
I have always loved Jim Carrey. I never understood the hate he always got. I'm not a fan of all his movies, but I love most of them and him as Dr. Robotic is just great!!!
People just hate for the sake of hating
I had said this in someone else’s comment...
He gets hate because he doesn’t fit the Hollywood “norm.”
People will always throw hate at anyone. Usually someone or something they just don’t understand.
I’m probably his biggest fan, but the thing about him is that he’s the kind of entertainer who you either love or hate. His style isn’t for everybody. People say he’s “too over the top” for them and I can see that. But the thing that I at least expect them to see is that he’s amazingly talented
@@NotTheeAlice the reason I’m such a fan is for that reason you just said… he’s different and stands out from all the other comedians. When I was first introduced to him at the age of 7 when Ace Ventura: Pet Detective came out, I WAS HOOKED. And followed his film career from then on. Now as an adult, I look back and realize that he’s not just “the funny man” as alot people only see him as, but he’s just an amazing human being all around which is why I’m still a fan even now. He’s 1 of the most amazingly talented entertainers in cinema history. He’s so amazing that I’m not even a fan of most other comedians in Hollywood. Robin Williams is the only other 1 who comes close or is equal to him
because he had a long dry spell where he hardly put out any good movies, and none displaying his trademark humor. so people thought he had flamed out. and people love to hate. then Trump became president, and his political views made him a scapegoat.
I remember having been on a trip through Germany with my parents when I saw Bruce Almighty running in their cinemas. I begged my parents to have a movie night - they both didn't know who Jim Carrey was - and I promised, they'd be in stitches. Spoiler alert they were 😁
A few months later the movie was released on DVD and guess what my dad bought that day. 🤣

I was elated to see him in Sonic... FINALLY, back to his happy form!
"Of course I want a latte, I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE EM!" The agressivenes in which he says that does not match what he's sayin at all 🤣🤣🤣
For the Count Olaf "give me the line again", reportedly it isn't that he forgot his next line, it was that he didn't like his initial reaction take so he wanted to have a second go at it.
When you're working with Jim Carey, you better prepare yourself for any kinds of improvisation he's about to do on set 🤣
Yes! That’s exactly what Jeff Daniels said on the set of Dumb and Dumber. He said that when you work with Jim Carrey, he’s gonna be the leader and you’re the follower. You wanna let Jim do what Jim does and you go with that. You don’t compete with him
We have lots of actors who can do actions, comedy, serious roles but Jim is a genre of its own.... What he does nobody can do....
EXACTLY! Thank you
I really liked Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik dancing to "Where Evil Grows". I can't wait till Sonic 2 comes out.

Dr. Robotnic: "Is he still looking at me funny?"
Agent Stone: "Yes he is."
Dr. Robotic: "Tell him to stop it or I will pull up his search history!"
That grinch scene with the table killed me as a kid and it still does
This man is my childhood hero. i remember growing up to all his movies! when i was a little kid, i re-watched the ace ventura pet detective movies over and over almost everyday, i swear my mom probably got so annoyed hearing me go "oshee-doo-doo-buu-buu." around the house xD
It's the casual table flip at the end that always gets me every. time.
Edit: I just fucking love this man, he's just so pure and amazing and I love him. Gods, when we lose him it'll be a true tragedy.
Jim Carrey a part of my childhood, teenage years , and adulthood , a legend
I think it’s safe to say that Jim Carrey is basically a living cartoon. Every character he plays that I’ve seen is super lively and spontaneous
Jim Carrey is my favorite actor. Grinch, Ace Ventura, and the Sonic Movie was awesome.
Honestly Jim Carey as Count Olaf was so underrated
OKAYYY! One of my favorite movies. 🙌🏾
Watch the test footage, it's fascinating.
Jim Carrey was a huge part of my childhood. I watched and LOVED pretty much everything he did. I still love him, and his movies still make me laugh my ass off. Never gets old. The man is a comedic legend, and he can improv his way thru anything, and it be the funniest part of whatever it is.
He always finds a way to be funny
I loved him in the Sonic movie
Ive actually learned alot about comedy from Jim Carry... He truly is a Mastermind behind it all
Cable Guy is so underrated! One of his best in my opinion.

Jim Carrey is the king of improvising.
Wow. Was not expecting those to be unscripted. Made me love Jim more. Hope he don't retire before sonic 3. Gonna miss him
Yea. He said he wants to be fat robotnic before he retire. So there's a chance.
The scene in Ace Ventura when he is in the mental hospital and after he notices a storage closet just goes out of it before slamming his head on a bench. You can see the doctor lose it just before it cuts.
"Do not pass go, do not collect 2 hundred dollars"
Yes, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (the second one) was just as good as Pet Detective (the first 1) in my opinion. Not alot of people liked When Nature Calls
He’s the closest thing to a cartoon character in real life for me as a kid and I loved him for it.
Jim Carrey is the only actor that fills me with sadness, when I consider the fact that I will live long enough to see his passing. Live long you magnificent bastard.
"IT'S BECAUSE I'M GREEN, ISN'T IT?!" I love that part!
when I think of actors that are great at improvising, Jim Carrey and Robin Williams are at the top of my list.
The fart story in good will hunting was ad libbed by Williams, and broke Matt Damon and the cameraman to the point where you can see the footage jigging slightly due to the camera shaking.
He and Ryan Reynolds are one in the same. They don't act. They just be themselves
Pull your head outta your rear end and be more observant to his movies! Jim Carrey Does Not play himself! I’m soooo sick of people saying that! If you actually watch his movies, he’s different in all of them and is the only comedian who’s actually versatile.
@@nsasupporter7557 yeah but he is a family friend of my uncle and dad, ol school mates. I met him in his non acting state and can attest, he still holds true to his characters. Jim Carrey is a Great Performer and a Legend
He doesn’t act he’s genuinely this crazy and I can speak from experience as I spent a whole day with him for my Make a Wish. When he got to the location he saw the buffet looked at everyone in the room and before anyone could say anything a massive food fight took place. He signed my brothers stomach and wrapped it in plastic wrap. He talks to fire hydrants, when he played Count Olaf he would walk the streets dressed as him. And I’m shocked that the number one improve was The Claw. His father did that to him as a child and when he did it to Max the director loved it so much, it stayed.
10:00
The table cloth trick must be one of the best scenes in history...
Him in dumb and dumber and the mask is my favorite and best thing ever
What about Ace Ventura
About that first one being potentially planned as the actors knew what to do. Gotta remember when something is done improv. While sometimes it's a spur of the moment 1 take got it beautiful. It can be that it's done once or suggested right before shooting and then they do multiple takes with that new script. It still counts as improv.
It's the same reason Drax saying "Why is gamora" even works if it's improv. What the camera man was just gonna pan down and film drax on the floor not talking? Dave bautista suggested the shot and then they added it
My personal favorite line from the scene at 5:00 is "Solve world hunger - Tell NOBODY"
