I must add that the whole Lorde debacle has even better subtext.
Spin magazine (who clearly didnt watch the episode and didnt know who Randy was) went off on South Park for claiming Lorde actually looks like a grown man in drag in the first episode "she" shows up. Randy claimed he knew Lorde to seem cool to the kids and made a deal that he could get her to perform. Yada yada it ends and hes performing as lorde because he clearly didnt know her.
So after the outcry and dumb article they released an episode about Randy being Lorde.
The real Lorde obviously got the joke before Spin did 😅
Waiting for the Will Smith episode. Expect it real soon now.
What did we learn? Its just a joke. Its Comedy and you should NEVER EVER take it seriously. Because if you ever take a joke as serious personal issues. People think you are a bad person and not cool to hang with. An that cuts into your bottom line. Learn to take a joke if they let you know its a joke. Don't do bad things and not say anything.

@@ichiromaeda7022 How did this backfire? It skewered Travolta and R. Kelly as well. I was rotflmao.
@@ichiromaeda7022 But they went after Cruise again in the "fudge packet" episode so yeah maybe only partially backfired. I also probably originally misinterpreted your use of backfired. I thought you meant comedically but I see where you're coming from now.

What? He is *very* clearly *not* wearing a blue button-up shirt in that commentary video

On the video? Nah. He was wearing a t shirt and on the south park episode that was a button shirt
Honey Boo Boo’s mom calling South Park trashy is straight comedy😂
The irony of that statement really got me
Maybe it was a compliment? Since she does love eating trash like 72 big macs
I honestly don’t like Honey Boo Boo and Mama June they’re kinda sloppy
@@IslaRoseAtkinson and that's why we all said her comments about her portrayal was beyond ironic lol
Also, I thought Honey Boo-Boo and her mother's appearance was spot on compared to how she looks/looked in real life 🤣
When she said that, I yelled," NO SHIT," That was the whole point of that dumb show. People were laughing at her not with her.
Their portrayal of Lorde was probably the most flattering portrayal they've ever done of a celebrity. In the episode other characters remark that shes "way ahead of her time" and a "talented songwriter" and the closing montage of her music literally changing the world... I don't think they could've been any nicer really. They are obviously fans.
Except her mustache.
Of course not, they are making fun of how basic her music is
@@tabaabadj9493 it doesnt seem that way at all
I think it was said ironically by the writers, but genuinely by the characters. I can even tell with how forced the compliments would feel in real normal speech. Maybe she really isn’t a prick, but is still being idolized too much by a lot of her actual fans. She’s mkay. I thought only one of her songs was big like 8 years ago and that’s all I ‘member.
She’s up there with Al gore haha him coming out like a crazy guy than turn into the only dude that can help them. Not cause they apologized or said he was right 😤 but because it was the right thing to do! *fighting man-bear-pig, which is a figurative speech about greenhouse gases and pollution*

I loved the celebs that can laugh at themselves and the fact that Snooki got it pretty bad being turned into a creature and she can still laugh at it! That’s a vibe check passed

fun fact: Caser Milan was actually one of only few celebrities who werent humiliated or somehow made fun of in the show
Cesar Milan wasn't insulted so it makes sense that he liked his portrayal. He's one of the very few people to be given a good cameo in south park. After all, he was able to tame Cartman, the most savage of beasts! I'd say that's a compliment to his ability as a trainer.
I hope they bring the Oscar/Will Smith incident into an episode.

Hands down the Jennifer Lopez episode was sheer genius. Even sitting at home started being convinced by Cartman that he had no control over his hand. It was brilliant!
Agreed. My favourite ever episode.
And of course leave it to that self-obsessed, narcissistic twat to take herself too serious over it all. Middling looks, middling singing talent and middling acting talent. She should be on her knees thanking the universe for her good fortune. C U Next Tuesday.

I always thought it was sad that South Park never got credit for how intelligent the show really is. It's amazing how they are so spot on about pop culture. They get away with telling the truth about society by dressing it up and making it silly. They can get away with it. Something that no other show is capable of. I hope they never stop calling out pop culture. On how truly stupid and pathetic they are.
11:40 I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Cesar Milan’s reaction to his parody. I saw his entire UA-cam video and it was just as funny as the South Park episode itself! He 100% absolutely loved his character because the creators portrayed him exactly how he is in real life while also adding comedy to the mix. Not to mention Cesar’s laughter is contagious! If you haven’t seen his reaction video, then you need to find 20 minutes to spare and do so right now! It’s a riot!
I had to look twice at your profile pic, you must be june shannon’s doppelganger 👀
There's a saying about "fools think themselves wise while the wise know themselves to be foolish" fits perfectly how some people reacted to their parody versions.
In a sense, Snooki is more mature than a handful mentioned here, especially those more famous.
I mean......I love South Park. But I wouldn't question someone's maturity just because they get offended by a parody. Humor is subjective, and it's easy to find humor when you're not the one being mocked.
Snooki's a total drunkard. She seems nicer than alot of celebrities and has a great perfume though.
Honey boo boo’s mom saying that the show portraying her show is “kinda trashy” is ironic asf 💀💀

I think he was the only one that Parker and Stone really respected. They spoke about the episode and Cesar on their website and praised him for the work he did and how much they learned from him. It was a very affectionate portrayal.
I felt he was the only one they really didn't make fun of.
Mama June calling ANYTHING trashy, is beyond hilarious. Not even actual trash is more trashy than her.
That's what I was thinking when she said that! 😂 talk about a lack of self awareness 🤦♂️
But they’re absolutely correct-
When it comes to comedy, no celebrity or public figure is safe; it just comes with the territory.
It’s like a pot calling a kettle black
What do you expect from a woman that exploits her kid at a weirdo beauty pageant and then puts her on t.v. on top of it.
Truer Words Were Never Spoken. Mama June Has No Redeeming Qualities What So Ever!

Tom cruise being at number 1 was on point for the share fact he actually made threats like he does in the episode. lol Also love the fact Snookie is ACTUALLY able to laugh at her skit, shows she doesn't take herself too serious and knows what a joke is. Big up snookie
He's kind of terrifying
he sounds so emotional LMAO
that is a lie just internet bullshit spread around, South Park airs on Comedy Central, how is a tv comedy channel related to Mission impossible premier and lunch tour? wtf
For a guy in show business as long as he has been, it's astonishing how little of a clue he has to how one reacts to parody. He is so full of himself.
Snooki OTOH has an awesome response, good on her!
@@Real_SkyRipper It's not and Tom cruise is just insecure cus he's gay
The Kanye Episode is one of my favs. "Kim is not a hobbit, it's just a coincidence she has a friend called Gandalf and likes to go on adventures." I also love when Britney Spears pee'd on a lady bug.
When Kanye pulls out the whiteboard and starts drawing on it I ALWAYS crack up for way too long, no matter how often I see that episode
"Bitch you not a hobbit right?"
😂😂😂
Would have liked to know how Britney reacted to the episode where she’s basically headless. Yeah, they were probably a bit over the line with that one, but that is how I believe the best comedy is created. It should be universally accepted that when it comes to comedy (excluding physical practical jokes that result in actual damage (physical, legal, career, family, etc) being done I think everyone can agree shouldn’t happen) a line simply shouldn’t exist or that it should be up to every individual to maintain their own line and not concern themselves with what others find humorous.
“Hol up, bitch why ain’t you the hobbit again?”
Bitch you sure you not a hobbit??!?
It’s crazy what Nick Jonas said because he literally said it so accurately described what was going on in his life that it was upsetting. Insane! Art industry corporations are just terrifying
Right, basically saying they did have him indoctrinated. But once he broke away he could see the insanity in a new light.
That why I preferred indie
I love that Snooki and Paris laughed at their respective episodes.
“Tsst!”, still one of my 24+ most favorite South Park episodes.
I’m glad the real Cesar Millan loved that episode.
Mine too!
I love Cesar and laughed my ass off with that episode.. They must like cesar because they didn’t put shit on him and he’s the only one who could handle Cartman.. Do damn funny and Cesar critiquing it was hilarious..
I felt bad for Sally Strothers because the episode made her sad, and the Steve Irwin one as well given that the man did pass away.
Well, he did the Darwin Award for that year.
I do feel bad about the Sally Struthers one. She seems really sweet and wasn't nasty to them about it, just admitted she was hurt.

Its disgusting the way she uses and degrades those kids on camera. Anybody with self respect wouldnt do such a thing

My favorite is Robert Smith's appearance, he said in an interview that they refused to tell him the context to his lines and didn't know what the episode was about until it aired.
I feel like if I were famous, being mocked on Southpark would be equivalent to Weird Al satirizing a musical artist's song. Nothing but an honor. I would love it.
Snooki saying "We have official made it" is 100% correct. If SP makes fun of you, you are official an important figure in culture... and you should embrace it.
7:33 The irony, of course, is that Bob Saget was known for being quite filthy on stage, and he told one of the filthier versions of the Aristocrats joke for the documentary (which, coincidentally, also featured Cartman telling his slightly tamer version of the joke).
Exactly
He appeared on Full House (1987-1995) as the loving dad of 3 girls (Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen) which he reluctantly is joined by John Stamos and Dave Coulier

I think snooki was moderating 'How Far Is Tattoo Far?' and honestly, shes actually pretty fun. I didn't even recognize her at first lol
Lorde's impression of Randy made me laugh hysterically.
If you are offended by a comedian's portrayal of you, the best thing to do is laugh about it and shake it off. If you show offense, they usually double down for even more laughs. This is true of nearly all comedians and not just them.
Sometimes they just don't find it funny to laugh about in the first place. At that point I recommend just ignoring it completely

South Park nails it on the head each time! Side note, the scientology episode also actually made Isaac Hayes quit because he believed in scientology as well

The Cruise one was my all time favorite celeb show.
The Jonathan Edwards "Biggest Douche In The Universe" episode deserves some props here. It perfectly skewers the whole medium industry where Stan debunks how these things really work and people start believing he has "powers".
Chris Hansen has also commented his character in South Park.
I would also love to hear Rob Reiner’s thoughts on his character. He was roasted pretty bad just like most other celebrities from the show.
Mad props to Snooki and Paris, they got the nastiest end of the stick and were total queens about it, the other female celebs that weren't so cool about it honestly no one can blame them for being upset. the dudes got it so fucking easy

The Cesar Millan one is great because maybe he's one of the very few people to which SP was not making fun of _him_ and in fact they praised him as such a pro in 'animal' training that he could even deal with a savage like Cartman. No wonder he was so pleased, because he was not humiliated or made fun of.
I've just learned to take these celeb impressions on South Park with a grain of salt. When Parker and Stone take on satire, clearly no one is safe from their target. They're just so funny! 😂
Now South Park will parody Will Smith slapping Chris Rock in the future.
they won't..........

@@chrismeulen8108 They're still running season 25 and it only takes them about a week to do an episode, plenty of time to get in on it while it's still topical.
They put a couple of parody lines in the Tegrity water episode. Someone was keen enough to point it out.
Anytime south park makes fun of a celebrity, they give them a chance to grow as a person. Some actually do, and others get upset and start blaming them for making them look bad.
'Nuff said.
Thats easy to say though. Most of us get upset at being made fun of in private and you think they should accept it on a popular show like South Park? Surely the Sally Struthers one goes way too far
When I was in high school in the 90s, I remember someone gifting my parents a Martha Stewart calendar for Christmas that was full of spoof recipes and craft projects. One of them was how to make your own, um, prophylactics (idk what I’m allowed to say on YT, lol) from sheep intestines. Idk if Martha was in on that, but she does seem to be a good sport.
The Tom Cruise episode trapped in the closet was nominated for an emmy. That's what made Viacom who owns CC and was promoting Misiion Impossible fold like a cheap suit and began re-airing the episode
As a Lorde fan and a South Park fan. I appreciate how they made fun of her, and also complimented her at the same time. Lorde’s reaction isn’t surprising at all. She’s a really cool girl.
You know Al Gore has a sense of humor, his daughter was a writer for Futurama and is one of the reasons he literally voiced HIMSELF in all of his appearances in the show. "I've ridden the mighty moon worm!"
The Ceasar Millan parody is my favorite by a long shot.
I would’ve payed money to see J Lo’s reaction to the set workers South Park quoting 😂🤣😂
Matt Stone did a great job voicing the parody version of George R.R. Martin in the “Black Friday Trilogy.”
😁😂
For the next South Park episode , I wanna see Elden Ring parody where Cartman can't beat that game until he get some advice from George R.R Martin the writer behind the game as well !
14:18 look at Crowe's eyes, you can tell he has the intelligence and ruthlessness of a serial killer IF he so wishes, it's a good thing that he is entertained XD
He probably was offended, but was smart enough to take the high road. Celebrity PR 101.
@@stpaulimdog Why would you be offended at being portrayed as an alpha badass going around beating people up? I'd like to see his reaction if they made him out to be a dumb meathead like Matt Damon or if they said his acting sucks.
Serial Killer??? I mean I get the intelligent part but to me he also seemed reflective and a bit ashamed and remorseful. Like he didn’t realize how bad it was until he had a “wake-up call”
well he used to be a romper stomper, look it up.
Russell did bash a few dheads.
You should have added Rob Reiner. He made an appearance in "Butt Out" where he was made fun of for being an anti-smoking activist, but he was also portrayed as morbidly obese, and he responded to the episode in a 2017 interview where he said "I thought it was funny, but I'm not that fat".
Favorite cameo would easily be George Clooney. They got one of the biggest movie stars of the time to play a character on their middling, two season cheap animated show. They had him play kyle's dog. He only has a few lines, and every single one is "Woof"
And Jennifer Aniston when they are part of a singing group for school and go to the rainforest. She was the chorus leader.
That is incorrect. Sparky was Stan's dog, not Kyle's.
Jay Leno is Cartmans cat
George Clooney was also in the South Park movie "Bigger Longer Uncut" he played the doctor trying to save Kenny.

The Struthers one is actually kinda sad :( I'd cry for days too if I spent a sizable effort literally trying to feed starving children and was rewarded with being portrayed as Java the Hut.
I agree. it goes way too far. She actually helped starving children and they did that to her?
20:00 i guess he took the show too seriously and started idolizing cartman? 🤣
The Russell Crowe response actually made me cry.
"Do you have a favorite celebrity appearance on “South Park”?" Yes Harry and Megan won this one. I know they were not on the list when this video was posted but they deserve the title now.
Tom Cruise is so sensitive and annoying at the end of Trapped in the Closet they changed the end credits to John and Jane Smith to avoid lawsuits from Tom Cruise and other Scientologists
"Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got / I'm still, I'm still Jenny from the Block"
"Hey you were on Southp........"
"Someone fire that person, I will be in my trailer!"
"I like to eat tacos and burritos!!"
7:29 (laughs) That’s rich coming from you June Shannon!!
I really love the one with Cesar Milan. The one with Al Gore was pretty funny too. There was another with Bono that wasn’t mentioned but I think it was pretty good too. I wonder what his reaction would be if he saw it.
@Ian James We all know how much Bono thinks of himself as a “god.” I used to love U2 but can’t stand how arrogant and pretentious Bono has become.
I also loved how the units of measure were "courics". I died hearing that.
Bonno "yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhhh hellooo hellooo.
Cesar is the man!
Agreed Bono was one of the best !
"Her favorite foods are sqetti and butter" lmao 🤣
The Jennifer Lopez one is hilarious
"I'm not from Mexico, I'm Puerto Rican!" Hilarious everytime
I think of that ep all the time.
Lopez Popez, she is so pathetic🤣
“Hey, you’re on TV.”
“WHAT??? NO WAY IMA BE FAMOUUSSS!!”
“It’s South Park…”
The moment you appear in a South Park episode... You know you made it.
The Steve Erwin one was taken a bit far tho
Kayne west and britney spears were two of my all time favorites
I went to a show Ceasar Milan did years ago, which was just a few months after that episode aired I believe, and he featured it during the break. He really loved it.
His live shows are so damn funny and entertaining.. I love Cesar and loved the South Park episode..
The fact she said it was ‘kind of trashy’ tells you how on point honey boo-boo and her mom was on South Park 😂
